DESCRIZIONE DEL PRODOTTO Le pompe di pozzetto modello 98 di Zoeller Pump Company possono offrire protezione e prevenire allagamenti dopo forti piogge o tempeste.
I have bought a lot of check valves and this one has not broke yet. Usually the ones you buy in local stores only last maybe 6 months. I have an extremely extremely extremely very high water table. 6 months ago they dug a new basement for my new addition and the builder was in shock. dug the basement and then left for 12 hours and had a full blown pond the next morning. So this check valve is the #1 best in my book period. my sump pump in new addition was kicking on every 20 seconds for months. for the existing portion of the house we have 2 sump pumps that are kicking on every 3 to 5 minutes especially if the ground is moist or raining. kicks on every 10 minutes if so called dry outside. and YES I have it set below the holes in the sump pumps to kick on so the water is not filling the lines up and making it work twice as hard. This check valve has last the longest so far. I bought one Zoeller check valve from amazon and one Zoeller check valve at Walmart on the same day and just waited to see which one was going to get here the fastest. I had 1 sump pump shut off because the local store check valve tore again and water went every where, so that made the other one in existing portion work twice as hard. I didn't want both to go out before the NEW check valves got here or I would have a pond in my basement. Then I replaced them and I am a happy camper now.

Reduced water hammer, Easy to install.
I bought my home and in the inspection was a "Faulty check valve" on one of my sump pumps. It was a PVC kind that was probably around $3.00 at your home store. I have never lived with a sump pump before so the noise that would come from this pump was startling. It was extremely loud even on the second floor of my home. It was odd too because my other pump already had one of these check valves on it and didn't make that loud hammer noise! Based on reviews here and that I already had one, I decided to try another one for my problem pump. Install couldn't have been easier. Done in about 15 minutes (excluding the trip I had to make to Lowe's to get an adapter). The valve comes with couplers that are 1.25" on one end and 1.5" on the other. The problem I had was that the sump pump discharge pipe is 1.5 pvc and north of the check valve is 1.25 copper. So for the top part I needed a straight 1.25 to 1.25 coupler. After installing this (and literally, if you can turn a screw you can install this) i filled up the sump crock waiting to still hear the loud hammer... But no hammer was there! I could barely even here when the water hits the check valve when I was standing right next to it. Can't wait until I'm three floors away to hear the difference but I doubt I will get to appreciate it because it is so quiet. I will have no clue the pump has cycled on unless I'm in the basement. Great value and great quality.

OEM replacement for my 16-year old check valve
Recently my 16-year old Zoeller sump pump died. Rather than reuse the old check valve, I replaced it with a new one of the same brand and model. Basically it prevents water from reentering the sump basin from the PVC piping above the check valve. Thus water only flows one way: from the basin through the pump through the discharge pipe through the check valve through the PVC outside one's house. Installation and removal is easy: the rubber unions easily slip on or off 1.5" PVC pipes; secure or loosen the enclosed metal clamps using a flathead screwdriver.

Works as advertised.
My sump pump had an old check valve installed that no longer worked. Everytime my pump would activate it would empty the sump but all the water in the pipe would return because nothing was stopping the backflow. We recently lost power at our house 3 times in five days so I decided it was time for a backup pump. Since I was adding a backup pump it made it a good time to replace the broken check valve. I purchased two of these, one for each pump (main and backup). They were suggested by Amazon to be purchased when I added the backup pump to my to my cart and based on the reviews I decided to purchase them as well. Pros: Easy to install for a DIYer Prevents water from re-entering my sump Cons: There is a small knock /tap sound when the internal flap closes. That is normal for these type of valves and the sound is not too loud but it is noticeable. I have an unfinished basement with a livingroom setup so I can hear the knock but if you have a finished basement or do not go into your basement a lot, then I suspect that you will not hear the knock.

Works fine.
I use this check valve with an old Zoeller pump that came with my (also quite old) house, with about 7 feet of head. I note no issues of hammering noises or such, as installed, with 1.25" corrugated flexible tubing heading outside. I can see how it might easily be an issue for those who have rigid piping, though, since things do move around a bit when the pump stops. The only issue I have, which would happen with any check valve in my case, is that the discharge line freezes solid in the coldest Ohio weather with this old, drafty house (and its purposefully-cold basement). Removing the check valve solves this issue, as it allows the line to drain completely after each cycle. So, in the spring, I put the valve in (to save the energy of refilling the line, and increase the time between runs). In the late fall, I remove it (to keep the lines from freezing). The clamps and adapters included with this pump make this job a breeze, and show no signs of wear from these regular changes. I've only had it for about 3 years, but so far, so good. If or when it ever shows any sign of failure, I'll buy another one just like it. Edit: It has now been 5.5 years. Still working fine, still no complaints.

Great product - absolutely silent
Was a bit leery of getting something that wasn't sold or supported by Amazon, but it was a great buy. As others have said, it is a 5 minute job to install and it is absolutely silent. My contractor initially said my hammering was due to my sump pump, but I figured it was likely due to the water hammer with my check valve and I was right. I was thinking of somewhat more expensive "silent" check valves, but I'm glad I picked up the Zoeller - it has been silent (the water rushing through the pipes is louder!). Also, shipping was fast (I bought it in the GTA), fwiw. Have had it running for a few months now w/ no issues.

Excellent Check Valve, So-So Couplings
This check valve has been installed for about a month and has been working great. It is well-built and I expect the metal stop valve to last much longer than the plastic ones found in the big box hardware stores. I used different rubber couplings for installation though as the couplings provided with the check valve are not of the highest quality.

solid valve
Works as a one way valve should. Simple fabrication. No fasteners in it anywhere, which seems like a good design. The one it replaced had 4 bolts holding two pieces together, which simply started leaking eventually. Only complaint is that it isn't whisper quiet as some may suggest (at least in my experience anyhow). It isn't SUPER noisy but when the pump shuts off, there is an audible thud from the valve stopping the water. Certainly quieter than the one it replaced. I need to buy another for the backup sump, and will buy this again.

Quiet Operation, Easy Install
So far, so good! We installed this check valve while we were replacing our sump pump, as our previous system had no check valve, and each time the pump shut off a fair bit of water would drop back into the pit. This valve works as advertised; we installed it just above the sump cover for easier access and this plus our new submersible pump has helped eliminate 95% of the noise of when the pump is cycling.

Nice solid check valve.
Much better than the check valves from the Orange or Blue hardware stores! They're a lot longer than the normal check valves, so you will likely have to adjust your pipes a bit. The rubber no-hub union is a good length, so it can tolerate a bit of imprecision in your pipe setup. Clamps are nice and solid, the rubber boots are good. While the check valve body is still plastic, it's a thicker plastic than others I've used, seems like it will hold up better. Price is competitive, order a spare and keep it on the shelf just in case something happens. Haven't really listened to it for noise, my pump is far louder.
