Straps OK With Easy Modification

The ends were almost impossible to pass through the cleats. In the end, I melted the tips with a lighter and now it passes through the cleats better. The cleats are difficult, as a woman, to hold open BUT the cleats did hold well in transport of my canoe.

Does exactly what its expected to do. I should get 2-3 years out of these before replacing them.

Bad straps

These straps are poorly made. The pointed end which is supposed to push into the teeth is either frayed or bent back and frayed so it has neither shape nor strength to push into the clamping part. I have worked and worked with these. I have several from this same company and they all have the same flaws. What a mistake to purchase these!

Works well to hold my kayaks to the roof of my suv rack. Will probably order a couple of more pairs as my tie down straps seem go to the same place as single socks and sissors go!

Just what i needed

This was an add-on item & after using them I would've paid full price. Very strong, held my 13ft kayak to my roof for over 500 miles without needed tightened. Very pleased

Works fine for medium duty

Does the job, Easy to thread the end through the buckle contrary to what some have said. Holds secure, very limited stretch of the fabric works for me. Good to secure a kayak or other roof top object but not a motorcycle to a trailer or P/U bed. The buckle protector prevents scratches on the roof well enough.
