Misleading Description

When I read the description: "Product Description This product is built for oversized cargo. It has a weight capacity of 400 pounds (181 kilograms). This carries most scooters, movers and snow blowers. It fits 2 inches square receivers. This bi-fold ramp attaches to the Solo cargo carrier and can be raised and snapped in place with one hand. It can transport wheeled items such as wheelchairs, lawn movers, snow blowers, and generators easily. It has patent pending bi-fold ramp that raises and lowers with minimal effort. It has got a limited 1 year warranty." I assumed it was the entire product shown in the picture. It is not, it is only the bi-fold ramp. You have to purchase the cargo carrier separately, for an additional $170 for a total of just over $300. It should have said: "This bi-fold ramp attaches to the Solo cargo carrier #1040100, and can be raised and snapped in place with one hand. It is a patent pending bi-fold ramp that raises and lowers with minimal effort. It has got a limited 1 year warranty."

Well made

A good design but would rather have had both pieces together. the ramps are perfect. It just made it difficult to see that these two pieces the ramp and carrier were not together. The ramp fit up perfect but the locking device does not work properly. The ramp lock in the upright position will not keep the rack secure. I recommend securing it with a strap for safety. I was driving down the road and the ramp unlocked on me and for a minute or so it dragged on the road and I did not notice it.

my bad i thought i was getting every thing that the picture showed did not realize that it was only the ramp. sucks to be me i guess for the price i thought it would have been the hole thing. for a few dollars more i could have gotten an aluminum one with a ramp.

Excellent product for carrying small go carts for the handicap/wheelchairs etc...etc etc etc etc etc who made up this mom word requirement ?

I will modify the locking arm to one that will have an arm with a pin to maintain a positive lock on it.

makes the carrier as a whole awkward to carry & ...

makes the carrier as a whole awkward to carry & hook up. May just use the base. Screws to hole snap latch chincy. Replaced w/ my own hex head screws. Holes for spring lock were opposite of what they should have been.

It meets and exceeded my wants and my needs. Best buy for the money. Liked it so much, I bought 2
