So I have purchased this skimmer a total of 4 times now from Amazon. All from warehouse deals because of the extreme price scalping going on. The retail price for this should be about $25 US. Only one order has been successful to work with my 18' Coleman Pool. The first order was lost in shipping and was eventually refunded. The second one came in and has been doing a great job skimming the pool. Initially it struggled with the stock pump, but after a planned upgrade to the bestway sand filter, it is doing a good job on keeping up with my pool underneath a shade tree. This order included both the Metal Frame Bracket (the one with plastic screws to attach directly to Coleman/Bestway metal frame) AND the blue sidewall screw-on part that the included hose connects to. Please be advised that their are two sizes for this blue part, one that SHOULD come with this bestway skimmer, and another size that comes with the "Bestway 58234 Above Ground Pool Cleaning & Maintenance Accessories Set Kit" These blue male screw-on adapter barbs are designed to fit 1.5" and 1" ID hoses. The Skimmer requires the larger 1.5" barb, which screws onto the gray plastic screen after removing the outer part that is screwed in place (requires removing tiny phillips screw before unscrewing.) My third order of this skimmer (from Amazon Warehouse) arrived a couple days ago, and was missing 2 essential parts. The metal pool frame bracket (The first order correctly included both this metal pool frame bracket with plastic screws *pictured* and one for inflatable pools that just hangs over the side, and will not work with metal frame pools. The other part that was missing was the 1.5" blue screw on male hose adapter that the skimmer hose connects to. Since I already received an order with ALL the included parts, it's easy to tell that these two parts are missing. I wanted to use this as a 2nd functioning skimmer so that I wouldn't need to empty the basket as often. I've put in a 4th order now and hope that it will arrive with all the needed parts. Amazon has done an OK job or refunding the other orders, but be very wary of 3rd party sellers (or scalper prices above $45).

GO ahead and up grade with the Hayward DynaSkim

I used this for one season. The connection pipes are thin cheap plastic, and do not last in the sun. I ended up ordering the Hayward Dyna-skim (50$) and installing it on the side of my pool It is 10000000 times better. This system will just frustrate you.

Helps with sifting

If I have a sand filter I'm not sure why but it doesn't seem to have the sex that I was expecting it to have. I did see some tutorials on YouTube that the pools like I have with two inlets to plug one of them up for more power but I wouldn't see why that would be necessary. Other than that it does a great job

We bought a new pool with a sand pump this year. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a skimmer. My kids are always in and out of the pool and bringing grass and debris back in with them every time. I decided to buy one of these add on skimmers with pretty low expectations. After reading the reviews I settled on this one because it was reasonably priced and had good reviews. I was not disappointed! 2 months later it’s still doing it’s job. I just have to make sure it’s adjusted to the right level (just below the water surface) after the kids are done swimming because it gets bumped a lot.

Good value, works well.

I had no problems with install or use. I saw some low reviews due to either difficult install or poor suction. Install: I'm pretty handy, but I'd also had several drinks when I put it on - if we call that even, it was still no trouble. The only trickiness - and this is bold in the manual - was that my pool is slightly off level so I needed to tilt the skimmer to be level with the surface. Suction: this one, also, is bold in the manual. If your pump isn't huge, block off one or more of the pool outlets. The skimmer needs an amount of suction from the pump to do its job. If it's not working right, it's easy enough to send more horsepower to the skimmer.

Doesn't come with adapter to fit Bestway pools

I see the reviews are good but I got it together and noticed that it doesn't even come with the adapter to fit the bestway pools. Made my bestway but doesn't work with bestway. Even the box shows it with the adapter. So unfortunately I had to return it which is kind of sad

Bene ma non benissimo

Innanzitutto bisogna tener conto che funziona solo quando la pompa è in funzione, per quanto riguarda la pulizia risucchia la sporcizia a galla ma non fa miracoli . Il prezzo è basso , ma non aspettatevi miracoli . Coprire la piscina con il telo è sempre meglio e al limite con il retino si raccoglie quel che rimane

Bestway deludente

Acquistato insieme alla pompa consigliata, ovvero da circa 3000 lt/h, ma non fa il suo dovere; la sporcizia rimane a galla senza essere risucchiata e filtrata dalla pompa. non capisco perchè bestway consiglia pompe non idonee, come l'inutlità di vendere un piscina da 8m3 con una pompa da 2000 lt/h. servirebbe almeno una pompa da 5000 lt/ e consiglio una san marco.

Fori troppo grandi che, di conseguenza, non riescono a catturare tutto lo sporco... Bisogna intervenire con la propria creatività per rimediare! Io ho usato una calza... ????. Inoltre il cerchio grigio superiore si stacca troppo facilmente...

Preiswerter Einhängeskimmer

Einfacher Skimmer der auch funktioniert. Einzig der Griff des Siebes ist ein wenig kurz und hängt mitten im Weg, wenn man ihn zur Seite klappt. . Darauf sammeln sich Blätter anstatt im Sieb zu landen. Lässt sich einfach zusammen bauen, lässt sich auch einfach am Aufstellpool anbringen. Für ein schmalen Taler ein einfaches Produkt.
