Not worth it!

I should have just bought a battery operated vacuum. It gets clogged super quick and all the small particles just come right back out.

It gets the job done

For the price it does get the job done however due to a few rather annoying flaws in the quality of material it does take longer. The debris container that holds the mesh net & captures the leaves & dirt comes as 2 pieces that you twist together. Unfortunately theres nothing that "locks" it so it doesnt come undone. Therefore while you vacuum, when you go in different directions or even just a back & forth motion, it becomes loose & will come apart releasing all the dirt & debris you just vacuumed. If you dont catch the top half of it before it reaches the surface it will suck air which then causes you to have to reprime the vacuum hose & pump to get the air out. Also the tubing isnt very strong/durable so if you have a decent pump sections of the tubing will colapse creating lack of circulation for vacuum to work properly. Overall though it did vacuum the leaves & larger debris as advertised.

The hose is really hard to work with, I may cut it for use next year.

The value for it was great however it is really hard to get the air bubbles out of the long tube to make it work properly other than that I have no complaints.

Love this kit!

This is a great pool cleaning kit. There were people that complained about the suction power. Please understand, that the power section has virtually nothing to do with the pool cleaning kit. It has everything to do with your pump. If you are using the grossly undersized pumps that come with above ground pools, you will never successfully vacuum your pool. It's just simply not built well enough to filter your pool let alone use the vacuum attachment for cleaning. The other thing, some of the swimming pools have two inlets. When vacuuming your pool, you have to block off the second inlet for maximum suction power. Just a piece of plastic over the front of the second inlet is sufficient to block the water from flowing into that inlet. I have the Intex prism 14 ft by 42-in pool. I have an Intex Sand filtration pump system that does a wonderful job in keeping my pool clean. The pump that came with the pool is a backup in case of any issues, but I would never rely on that to clean my pool. Had that experience with my first above ground pool, and it took me a year to figure out what I needed to do, and that was to replace the filtration system. All that being said, my only complaint is the extension pole, very cheaply made. Other than that everything in the kit enabled me to easily hook up the vacuum and clean up the bottom of my pool. You will have to buy a brush head attachment as that does not come in this kit. Amazon has them for 15 to 20 bucks.

Works well depending on your filter

We have a 22ft above ground pool and needed a vacuum to get the fine particles and debris from the bottom of the pool. We live in CA and the wildfires in our area produce a lot of debris/dust. After reading several reviews we decided to give this a try. It worked well enough however it is a bit cumbersome to use. The suction power all depends on your filter, in our opinion. Some say it didn't have enough suction. It actually did the job but it does take a while depending on your pool size. Might be easier to get into the pool and use it but we didn't try that yet. The skimmer basket does work but you need to keep an eye on your water level so that it is at the proper level to actually skim. If it's too high or too low it just won't be effective.

I like that I can remove the vacuum filter bag and ...

I am now on my third season with this and it has held up very well. The hoses are still very pliable unlike similar ones that I have had with an Intex kit that cracked and leaked! I like that I can remove the vacuum filter bag and connect the hose directly to the vacuum for waste vacuuming large debris using a siphon of the side of the pool. The vacuum with also accept a larger standard vacuum hose that I had to upgrade to when I upgraded from the standard cartridge filter to a sand filter as the increase in vacuum pressure would collapse the stock hose where in the middle length of the hose for about 2 inches it goes from having ridges to smooth then back to ridges creating a weak spot defeating the purpose of having ridges in the first place. Unfortunately the filter bag attachment won't accept the standard hose so my sand filter has a waste option sending everything out the backwash port so I just have to fill the pool back up a little when I am done vacuuming. The vacuum head is the best and very similar to the one Walmart sells off the shelf! My only disappointment is the skimmer doesn't have the small fins at the top creating a vortex in the skimmer such as the one Intex sells, I find that without this feature allot of bugs, leaves and other debris don't get inside the basket but fall out to the sides and have be cleared from inside the skimmer after removing the basket.

worth the price, but should have came with the pool.

I bought this kit for the stupid plastic nozzle that attaches to the intake so I can properly vaccum my pool. It should have came with the darn pool. That being said, I also figured I could use the rest of it I'm sure. The skimmer basket is fantastic! So for those peices alone it was worth the money. The suction has everything to do with the pump you have. We started using it with the pump that came with the pool and after fighting a battle with Algae decided to get the 2200gpm pump and filter for our 18' Coleman vista pool. Now all is right with the pool and not having anymore issues with anything. It's easier to vaccum as it has better suction, I dont have to try and find overpriced filter cartridges anymore, and the pool stays 99% cleaner. Update: After using it all season, the parts I bought it for are still fantastic, but I will say I had to keep patching the hose with duct tape just to get through the season. the hose is way too thin, and if drug even lightly over rocks or anything like that, it causes holes easily. Can you guess what I'm investing in next year??? Over all I'm glad I bought the kit, I know that separately sell the parts, but at the time I was purchasing, the kit was cheaper than the 2 things I used.

Das Produkt wird angeboten mit einem Bild, das vier verschiedene blaue Adapter enthält. Die zwei Steckadapter fehlen (siehe eingekreist im angehängten). Wer die nicht braucht, für den ist das Produkt in Ordnung. Für alle anderen unbrauchbar. Bei Bestway kann man die fehlenden Teile für ca. 30€ nachkaufen, was in Anbetracht des Gesamtpreises des Angebots eine wesentliche Summe ist. Bestway hat offensichtlich in der selben Produktnummer einfach kurzerhand von einem Jahr aufs andere die zwei Teile weggelassen. Bekannte haben nämlich dieses Paket inkl. Packung noch rumliegen und darauf sind eindeutig alle Teile abgebildet. Kann sich jedes selbst sein Urteil bilden, was er davon hält.

It would have been better if the information stated "Requires 800 Gallon Per Hour pump/ filter" .Reasonable kit but in all honesty the skimmer is absolutely huge and on my paltry 330 GPH pump it does nothing :) I may fill half the skimmer with pebbles in the hope the reduction in volume of water may help the skimming. Other than that, it looks like I need an 800 GPH pump / filter :) Got hold of a 800 gph pump and what a difference . Works perfectly and it is quite sadistically satisfying watching flies being dragged to their death :)

Could be better

Tried an electric (battery operated) bestway pool vacuum along with this pool set and this is far better. This one is a lot more work as the supplied hose has to be filled with water in the pool before connecting to the filter pump. It does suck up the dirt, but has to be done daily, if there is a build up of dirt after pool not been used for a few days due to bad weather, this does struggle. It is good at collecting dirt in the main part of the pool, but useless at collecting dirt around the edges. The filter gets clogged up and it loses suction. Have to be really careful when lifting vacuum out of water, if you accidentally twist pole the collector at the bottom twists off and releases all the dirt back in to the pool. The filter pump also has to be switched off, disconnected and cleaned as soon as you finish cleaning the pool, otherwise it will release dirt back into the pool. I used this with a 530 gallon per hour pump, and I could not find a better vacuum without having to buy another more powerful filter pump. The net that comes with this is great and the pole is interchangeable with the net and pool vacuum. The pole did lose it’s ability to stay extended and would shorten itself during use. I was a bit disappointed with the pool skimmer, it does collect some surface dirt, but it is slow and when you unplug it, it releases most of it’s collection back into the pool. Using the net was far more efficient. Could not find a better alternative to this set.

Does the job

The vacuum and skimmer work in conjunction with the pool pump and are effective in getting rid of fine particles from the pool. The trick to success with the vacuum is to ensure that the tube is full of water and air bubbles expelled before plugging into the pump inlet. After that, slow sweeps across the pool bottom will pick up most of the light material that is too fine to pick up using the net. The skimmer picks up a lot of stuff but it is still necessary to use the net to do a thorough job. My only reservation is that the kit is a bit pricey, although it is also good quality.

Skimmer excellent, vacuum frustrating.

Pool skimmer is excellent, especially with the addition of a sock (available separately) to filter smaller particles. The vacuum would be too, but has a tendency to come apart in use and eject what has just been sucked up. The body that holds the filter bag doesn’t fit together very tightly, though maybe it’s just my one.
