Fine mesh spa / hot tub skimmer net

This skimmer net is perfect for a spa / hot tub if you want to remove small things. It might come in two versions of mesh size. The model I received is blue, the model number is 40-376F-B. It is possible the F stands for fine mesh and the B stands for blue. I have read elsewhere people who bought 40-376 said the mesh could be finer. The one I received with a F in the model number is very fine mesh. It is the perfect size and shape for a spa / hot tub. Someone wrote a review saying the fine mesh is hard to pull through the water under water. I have not found that to be the case. Since the mesh is tight and not deep, it is easy to clean. All you have to do is flick it to clean it. The mold that made the plastic is a little rough. It arrived with a few rough plastic seems. I used sandpaper to smooth it. If you do this, be careful not to touch the mesh with the sandpaper. I am glad I purchased this skimmer and not a different one. It would be better if it came with a case to protect the mesh when not in use. But I have not seen any skimmer nets that come with something like that.

Great for the spa

This is a very nice super fine mesh pool and or spa strainer. Got the gross muck off the top of the spa and bubble funk.

Very fine

This is a very fine strainer. Great for early in the season when we have fine cottonwood fuzziness in the pool. But for larger bugs, etc., it's so fine it pushes things around because it doesn't let enough water through. If you're looking for a skimmer for fine items, this is it, but not great for everyday use.

First one that actually skims algae

I bought this for our back yard pond to skim off algae, so the short handle is a down side and had to be modified with a longer length pole. Aside from that I’m quite pleased so far. It’s the first net that’s actually fine enough to skim the algae. Price was good and I think it arrived in one day.

Gets all the tiny stuff

This is a really good net for the tiny things in your pool that slip through most mesh nets. There will be more resistance when pulling it through the water but that is the trade off for being able to capture anything super small. It also came with a little handle which is nice. Perfect for above ground pools without a skimmer. It has held up well for me so far.

This skimmer has a very fine mesh.

This skimmer is exactly what I was looking for. It has a fine mesh, sturdy frame and just the right length pole to reach the bottom of my above ground pool. It’s awesome!

You’ll need to file the sharp edge

I was unable to put the handle into the frame of the net because of the jagged sharp edges on the aluminum shaft. You need to file down the edge of the aluminum shaft and the hole for the snap peas otherwise it will not go into the plastic netting support area.

Haven’t received yet Too late

I have not received this yet and see that it will arrive much later than I expected. Cancelled and bought a different one. There’s no problem of quality of product..just not getting to me soon enough.

Time not as pictured

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this specifically because it was supposed to be white according to the listing. It is in fact blue. Pros: fine mesh, short handle Cons: blue (why are pool things always an ugly blue?)

Love it! Small enough to use it in the pool

My favourite toy in the pool - I can skim leafs and other debris from the pool while I am in it. Small enough to hold on your hand. Very sturdy

Exactly what I wanted

This skimmer is light weight and has a very fine mesh. The handle seems sturdy. This is perfect to use in the hot tub! Very quick delivery!
