Works great!
There’s a bit of a technique to get used to and you’ll likely need a longer rope. We live on a golf course and after 2 nights of late night “ponding”, we have a bucket of about 200 golf balls! My husband is ecstatic.

Slick as a whistle
That's what the old timers used to say when something worked really well. Foolproof... no. A little cumbersome... yes. But Holey Moley, I'm dragging golf balls out of the pond sometime eight at a time!!! A few pro tips; keep the pull strap low when pulling it out of the water. That will keep the bottom edge down, keeping the balls in place. Also, pull slow and steady. If you are to fast or jerky, it can cause the balls to float up out of the device. You will clean up with this retriever.

Good product but needs some improvements.
The product is okay. I've modified mine about six times. The strap is too short, I increased mine to fifty feet. I added two additional bars on it because balls fell out sometimes when it was being retrieved from the water. It doesn't work in some ponds because of algae. I've gotten over 2,000 balls out of one pond. It works great with my modifications.

Gotta know how to use it and find the sweet spot
If the bottom of the pond is full of sticks this will be very hard to use but anything else it’ll do just fine.

Great product and gets job done but see areas for improvement
Good product 2nd one bought the first 20 years ago It’s almost the same as the first one I had although it is now made with smaller snaps and the cage nylon and throw nylon connection is weak as well… don’t get me wrong it does do the job and have gotten 7-800 balls in a very short amount of time (after modifications): I’m not knocking it just saying it could be improved upon and be an ever better dredge …especially in the weight and cage width department… I lose a bunch over the top on small snags. Overall it does still get the job done, just put some thick plastic ties where metal snaps are! It will pay for itself your first 30 minutes….

Believe the reviews
Pretty flimsy just like every review says. Broke the first time I used it. Also was real hard to get balls out. Only was able to fish out 20 balls in 30 mins. Just Buy the extendable Callaway pole. Way easier.

Not good
My Golf Fisherman broke after 20 years of use. My fault. Couldn't find another one for sale. Bought this rescue thing instead. Not even close in my opinion
