Great ball retriever

It’s tricky at full extension but works just takes patience. It’s payed for itself in retrieving the more expensive golf ball out of creeks running through the golf course.

Love this ball retriever!

After trying a number of golf ball retrievers, this one did the trick…it performed well in all areas of concern to me: it extends and retracts easily and smoothly, it grabs the ball without any mechanism, and it fits easily in the side pocket of my golf bag. 5 stars by my way of thinking.

Good concept but too much flex.

When fully extended, the pole bends very easily and gives you very little pressure to apply to the ball. Id prefer a heavier shaft with less flex, even if it meant a longer retracted pole (30") with just three sections.

Metal head attached to a metal rod by a metal rivet. What more you need to know.

Nice to telescope without the twisting and locking and unlocking and twisting. It's not going to crack or shatter because contrary to the other retrievers with plastic heads, springs, rivets or other parts, this one is ALL METAL. You don't even need to turn it over to get your ball back. Place it down on the ball and lift. That's it.

So far, so good

Love the length and ease of use with this retriever. It is true that when fully extended it gets flimsy at the very end but I doubt you’d even see a ball underwater at that distance. Love it so far and hopefully it lasts UPDATE: As of this date I have decided to go back to a different brand. This one is just not great if the mud where the ball rests in the water is even a little soft. Just can’t get a good grab on the ball

Almost perfect

I've had ball retrievers from this company before and this one is great quality but lacks one feature I wish it had. The ability to lock the sections when extended so you can push a ball away from an obstruction but without the ability to lock the individual sections it simply collapses even with minimal pressure. Again, very well made.

Good (but not great) ball retriever

It's pretty compact and fits into the sleeve provided in my new Bag Boy cart bag. But, it sometimes fails to hold the golf ball you're trying to pick up.

Nice - when it works

I've had two of these and the second bit the dust yesterday. After several retrievals out of the water, the sections get harder to collapse down. The latest fail was the first section. After getting a ball I attempted to collapse it and the skinnyest section snapped! It's now laying on the bottom of the nearest pond. I've tried lubing these but that doesn't seem to help. After some use they just don't want to collapse properly. But silly me, I'll buy another. Love the 18' reach and when it does collapse properly, fits nicely in the bag.

Read the fine print in the product description!

This product is almost 100% reliable in retrieving golf balls from water or other difficult to reach areas. Very compact and light. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is advertised in the product title as being a 10 foot long retriever however what it doesn't say is this includes the length of your arm! you have to read the fine print to see that it is actually only 6.5 feet long!! I had a previous model of the same design that EXTENDED ten feet so I was disappointed that this one was only 6.5 feet - which is not long enough. My Bad for not catching this but it is something the company should point out more clearly.

not a goodesing

we have purchased two of these and they both snapped. the head was too heavy for aluminum retractable shaft. It was too weak.

The extensions work very well. This product is excellent as it has a long reach, grabs the ball well, and still retracts to a small size to fit in a side pocket of my bag, It is great having one that does not use up one of my golf club slots.
