Super bright & many features
These lights are absolutely packed with options! The headlight has several practical features,my favorite being low level light with bright strobe,perfect for road riding. The 3 solid light levels plus the boost level are ample for fast downhill mountain bike riding. I have ridden off-road at 25MPH without reservation with this on my helmet and another light on the handlebars. The strobe modes are visible and attention-grabbing in daylight. At night, I angle the strobing light downward, as to not blind oncoming drivers, riders, and pedestrians. The digital display is easy to glance at while in motion, with its use of icons. Having remaining battery percentage is invaluable for determining when to start reserving battery life or switch to a fresh light. When charging, it is also easy to see how full the battery is, if you're trying to quickly recharge before an impromptu ride and when you just plain forgot to recharge. The headlight also has non-riding rwatures that are great, such as a low light walking mode that lasts 15 hours. The SOS strobe will work well when in a pinch (I hope to never use it!) Boost mode can be enabled easily with a double-click. As always, this Lumina light is lightweight and compact. The tail light is fantastic. The primary blink pattern is a perfect balance of safety and battery conservation. This has alternates dim and super-bright LEDs: "blink blink **KERPLOW!**" That bright LED is quite visible in full daylight. CONS: Nightrider Lumina headlights take time to recharge. It would be nice to see a 2-amp fast charge feature. Also, the headlight has three buttons. These are awkward to navigate while mounted on a helmet and trying to make an adjustment while in motion. This light obviously heats up more than others in the Lumina series, especially when blasting out all 1100 lumens,so be sure to keep the heat sink well ventilated. Finally, the button on the tail light is small and difficult to press, BUT I'd rather have this minor inconvenience than have a larger button that can easily be pressed by accident and affect the water-tight integrity of the design. Bottom line: This is the best value available at time of my purchase. The headlight is very bright, loaded with features, and actually fun to use. I feel safe with this tail light in any situation.

Amazing customer service.
I’ve had my lights for 2 years and the button on my rear light disappeared. Which I’m curious how it did because they are in there pretty good. Reached out to niterider showed them my Amazon order from 2 years ago and they sent me a button for free! These lights are a little more expensive but they are bright and their customer service is worth it!

almost too bright
this thing is amazing. i can't comment on longevity or "toughness" have only been on a few rides, but enough to convince me it's the real deal. i was riding in pitch black conditions & couldn't believe how well this lit everything up. it was only when i arrived home that I realized I had left it on the lowest setting (wasn't even set to the brightest it could get!!!!). can't wait to keep riding at night & continue testing. will update the review should it need it. also, came with mount for handlebar & post. insane deal for this light!

Robust and a little pricey
Expensive light. Cost as much as my bike but for the safety of my ride, I bought it. Light is bright and blinding when set to high. So don't state straight into it. Battery life seems okay. Not great but good. Structure of the light looks and feel robust.

Brightest torch I’ve ever held.
It’s at least twice as bright as you’d expect. So bright, in fact, my wife and I grab it to illuminate our back yard at night, and it will completely illuminate it. Very high build quality. The screen’s a bit unnecessary, could be accomplished with LED indicators. I’d prefer to mount the headlight under my handlebar but the screen and adjacent buttons makes that awkward.

Expensive but worth it , great product
Worth the expense. The read out is very insightful , and I didn’t think it would be, but for longer rides it helps you manage your power usage carefully. Road through a 2.8 mile rail road tunnel today and it made my buddies light seem non existent. Worth the splurge. Tail light is nice too, a little weird to get use to the button and modes and turning it off.

Filled with water in light rain
Bought to replace my NiteRider Lumina 650, that's about 5 years old. Low setting is brighter and wider, with slightly longer battery life (per the screen, never got to verify). On my second ride with the light, I encountered light but continuous rain. Water started getting into the OLED screen and the lens, and eventually the headlight stopped working (about 20 mintes) (it got hot as it was shorting out, probably). The taillight was mounted just above the wheel, with no fender, so was in a continuous water spray, especially the bottom, where the charging port is No problem - works fine. WIll replace the headlight and try again. If it works in the rain, I'll consider this unit defective and raise my review. If the new unit fails, as well, I'll downgrade to one star!

Do not use the mount that comes with it!
Do not use the mount that comes with it! If you want to keep your light on the bike and not broken on the ground buy the clamp. Make sure to ask your local shop for a old tube to cut up for shims to wrap around your bar for a good grip. This light is great I like having the display for battery power left.

Buena intensidad de luz
Lo bueno es una lampara bastante potente te haces notar en el camino. Lo malo es su soporte se mira frágil si no tienes cuidado lo puedes romper y también con la vibración se mueve y ya cuando menos te das cuenta ya está apuntando hacia abajo
