Amber flashing lights are scarce, and GOOD once are scarcer. This isn't one.
The first thing that I discovered upon trying to insert the batteries was that the battery contacts are designed to bend, not to be springy. In the long run, that's going to make them much less reliable than the ones with a coil spring contact for the negative end of the cell. Once the batteries were in place, the next issue encountered was that the switch is hypersensitive; just the flexing of the case that happened in reinstallation of the lens was enough to switch the light on and off. And the lens is tricky and difficult to get *properly* snapped back into place. It will seem to be seated when one entire edge is still sitting on top of the lip in the main case, defeating the gasket completely. While it's better than nothing if you need an amber flashing light, it's far from ideal..

A nice, AMBER personal safety light
I had been looking for an amber-colored LED flasher to replace the old one on my bike, and when I saw the reviews for this "white" LED light, I took a gamble and bought it. Sure enough, it's amber. It's a little smaller than what I had pictured in my mind, and it doesn't blink very fast, but it does the job nonetheless. The description is a little misleading--you don't get two flash modes... you get a choice of steady-on or blinking. That's it.

Solid Light but as the previous reviewer stated wrong color
This features two modes a solid and blinking, it's a pretty solid light albeit I doubt it's fully waterproof, the mounting hardware is competent. The main issue is although the listing and the packaging say its white the actual color is orange amber (similar to the colour of an automotive turn signal). The amber colour is better as it allows the light to be more effective during daytime riding. I don't blame the vendor as the packaging actually states white.

I am absolutely not pleased by my transaction regarding this item. I bought two of these lights, desiring bright white blinking lights in order to "be seen" as I ride my bike at night. The lights turned out to be yellow and one of them didn't work. The one that did work isn't too bad, just not the right color. They are cheaply constructed and a good bump would destroy them. I would recommend the Cateye 5 LED blinking white light, which I also bought ($16). It works very well, is constructed of much better material and has better mounting pieces and clips.

Don't bother
Wimpy, maybe kids will get a thrill out of it in a dark room, but this can barely be seen and should not be depended on as a safety measure for your bicycle, mine went to the Goodwill as soon as I tried it!!!

Just what I need
There are all kinds of lights to be purchased. This one has a flashing yellow light which doesn't distract from the brakelight that we have on our electric scooters. This is important because our brake lights aren't tail lights. The price is way right. You can't go wrong with this one.

It's handling a tough ask
I needed a front, blinking ,-amber- light for my SWB recumbent bike. I've been looking for a while as the one I normally use, as far as I can tell, isn't being made anymore. This Ventura light is doing well. This light now has several hundred miles on it, over some rather rough terain. Out in front on the "peddle boom", it gets shaken up quite severly, and It's still standing up very well. It makes me visible to all the traffic around me. I do a considerable amount of night riding so this is very important to me as I live in a very congested area. I do wish it was a little brighter with a more rapid flash. The mounting options allow you to put the light almost anywhere. As you can see, I had a somewhat unique mounting situation. This light can also clip on a vest, arm band or back pack. This is great if you're an early morning or late night jogger, or if you have to walk to or from school or work. Because this light sips battery power, they last a very long time. You won't have to change them very often. I'm happy to have found this light! I hope this helps you decide. I read some negative reviews about this but I haven't found any of those difficulties.
