Great strap
Probably the best leather straps for the price on the market. When they start to get stinky, I just get another pair.

I wish they were a little more comfortable
I like these better than the Versa or Cobra grips. I found them reasonably easy to use and I like the longer strap. They gave me the grip I needed but were a little uncomfortable on the wrists. I've only used them for a few sets so far, so I don't know if they'll get more comfortable with time as they are some sort of leather.

Good purchase
It helps to have a grip on the weight

So you lift, do you? Yeah, you need these.
For as long as I've been interested in strength training, I've always tossed a pair of lifting straps into my gym bag, and when I got back into barbell training in November 2016, it was no exception. However, I'd misplaced my usual padded Harbinger straps and, for the first few months of my return to the gym, didn't bother with them. It was after a session of rows, though, when my grip was fried way before my back muscles were tired, that I took heed and bought some new straps. And for the first time in my strength-training life, I bought leather straps. My Grizzlies are now, without exaggeration, my second most valued fitness-related possession, behind my Adidas squat shoes. These are powerlifting-style straps, rather than the speed straps used in Olympic lifting. As such, you fit the straps to your wrists and wrap the long end around the bar. There are tutorials online, but the concise version is this: the end with the loop faces the pinky finger of the side you wear it on, and the long end runs along the outside of your hand, such that it's wrapped into your hand as you loop the strap around the bar. Because I'm sometimes an utter moron, I've labeled mine "L" and "R" with a pen so I know which strap (I keep mine looped, so they're always ready to go) is for which hand. Because they're leather, as opposed to nylon or cotton, they grab better into the knurling on the bar, which helps the straps to stay in place as you lift. I consider these straps indispensable for moves like high pulls, deadlifts, shrugs, and rows where the muscles you're training are often stronger than your grip. The straps are no excuse for not having a strong grip, mind you, and they're a training aid much like your spotter, your belt, or the safety bars on your squat rack. They're just there to help you, not to take the place of a too-weak grip, or even an already-strong one.

Solid construction but a bit narrow for me
First I used these on a smooth axle bar. I'm not getting into why I use straps on an axle bar. Leather works really well in the absence of knurling. These grip my axle nicely. I do wipe down my axle bar to remove oils from my greasy paws every week or so. The humidity from my hands and the environment make them even stickier. My only issue with these straps are 1.5" is a bit too thin and they tend to really dig into my wrists and sometimes cause bruising around my wrists around 300lbs(136kg) or so. I think if they were 1.75"-2" wide it would distribute the weight more evenly along my wrists and probably be easier to wrap. However, they are great quality, and for axle bar use, these things seem like they will last forever.

Work Well
In my opinion, these type of wraps seem to 'bite down' and synch to the metal better than thicker leather and nylon straps. These wraps won't win any beauty contests but they do work if you need grip assistance. I would recommend and will update over time on its durability.

Too Narrow
I bought a pair of Leather Lifting Wrist Straps 21 inches years ago. Unfortunately, I made a mistake of throwing them into the dryer after the washer, and left it became too high. The pair was extremely good, wide and high quality. Unfortunately, this pair is similar but they are at least 1/6 inch more narrow. I did not use this pair and decided to return it. I did find another brand and that pair is 1/4 inch wider than my original pair.

Great quality, great price
I prefer leather straps over other styles, and these are some of the most comfortable and durable that I’ve ever used.

Very fine option for basic lifting straps
Originally purchased in July of 2021, so almost a year later I'm reviewing these. I started using these to deadlift in November of 2021 (when I started deadlifting, and not just using the straps for pulling accessories). As it stands, I have yet to feel in any way uneasy about using these straps in terms of their ability to withstand the weight I use. In the included image is me standing with a 385lb deadlift pr using these straps, almost a year after having/using the straps. I feel comfortable in saying that although I'm not personally lifting too much compared to many others, these straps should have no problem dealing with much heavier weight, and for most people they may not need ever look at new options because I don't see these breaking in any normal circumstance besides normal deterioration over time. I am also a big fan of the smoothness of the straps. The leather feel fits very nice against the hand, and when in proper position on the bar feels very tight and "sticky" (in a good way). My only caveats are that the stitching on straps' logos themselves come apart easily, as well as the straps dig into the wrist on the thumb side quite a lot. It's not something I've found to ruin any sets/max attempts, though it is a tad uncomfortable if I'm focused on it. I didn't personally have any issues with the width of the straps, etc. One thing I would like to add though is that my wrists/hands themselves run on the small end, so take that into consideration as well. However, for the price of the item, and with its own charm over most other nylon straps, I feel very good about this product. Probably the best investment I've made with lifting gear!

Great for heavy lifters
I wouldn't consider myself a powerlifter, but I've been getting back into lifting and found that my grip had been lagging behind, especially for deadlifts. These straps are already flexible (you don't need to wash them like another reviewer suggested). They seem to be durable and are withstanding 400lbs/181kgs deadlifts on a weekly basis. My only complaint is that they aren't wide in comparison to other brands. They're extremely soft but don't slip or slide while doing reps. Definitely the comfiest straps that I've ever owned in my 15 years of lifting.

Doesn't slip on bar
Great grip to these straps; if you like to adjust your straps after tightening them around the bar, this might not be the product for you, as it grips very tightly. Material is comfortable, but as others reviews noted, the black logo wears down the straps where it is sewed on.

Good So Far
These straps do exactly what I need them to do. They feel pretty good quality so far, and work well. Have only been using them for about a month so I can't really comment on the long-term durability, but they're holding up well. Easy to use, fairly comfortable, overall I'm very impressed for the price of them!
