Lasted 3 Years...Manufacturer honored lifetime warranty.
I bought the longest one and, although flimsy, it worked if you're careful. It holds water inside, so I would open it all the way after use and try to elevate one end. It rusted and corroded where each section meets. I used aluminum spray to help with opening and closing. Recently, when I went to use it, it just came apart. It did last 3 years, but for the price it should be more durable. UDATE 4/15/23: I found the original packaging that mentioned "Limited Lifetime Warranty" but was unable to find anything online. I then called the customer service number, and they sent me a new retriever at no charge. The process was very easy, and I received the new item within a few days. Based on their customer service, I have upgraded my rating to 5 stars.

Awesome golf bag accessory
Every golfer, especially walkers like me, should have this in their bag. Weighs hardly anything, takes up little space, and is quick and easy to use. The pro v1's I've been able to reach/find alone have paid for this bad boy multiple times over.

Amazing!
So small it fits in a side pocket in my bag but very sturdy and easy to use when fully extended. Great purchase!

Excellent product
Great product. Best on the market. Based on the amount of recovered balls, more than paid for itself. Highly recommend.

It works!
It works great. It's new and already has retrieved 5 balls.

Get a grip on the ball or scoop the ball, it works well either way
This is not my first ball retriever, I've tried almost every type on the market. This one works as good or better than any I've used. The fact that I have worn out so many is another story, lets don't go there. This retriever grips the ball by friction or you can scoop the ball out of soft muddy bottoms. So far, it is doing just as it's supposed to do. If you can put the ring on top of the ball with a little bit of pressure, it will grip the ball pretty securely. It doesn't require much pressure to firmly grip the ball and it's small enough to dip a ball from soft stuff. All that's left is to see how the shaft does long-term. I've had problems with shafts from this company a few years ago but they were very responsive, so I'm optimistic that this one will hold up and if there is a problem the company will make it right. After a few months use, here is additional information: I have the 18 foot "reach" which is 14 feet long fully extended. Collapsed, it is 19 7/8 inches, the handle is hefty at 1 1/8 diameter. The device weighs just more than a pound. It can be used in two ways, either scoop a ball or press down on top of the ball which will grip it fairly well if the ball is on firm ground or rock. It is made of 16 sections of steel nested so as to extend to any length up to the maximum. The smallest section is only about 1/4 inch in diameter and I try to avoid extending it unless necessary. The construction allows extension of any section or sections to obtain the desired length. In other words, you can make it, for example, ten feet long without extending the smaller sections. The retriever is sturdy enough but I try to avoid extending the smallest sections unless trying to reach the maximum distance, preferring the strength of larger sections rather than taking a chance of bending the tip sections. Some of the large sections are tight but can be extended and sprayed with lubricant occasionally, making them very usable on the course. So far, it is the best retriever I've had and I have used many over the years. I don't carry my bag any more and wouldn't recommend it for a carry bag, only because of the weight. It fits easily in a bag to use on a cart or push cart.

Great for MOST conditions
I've used this for just two rounds of golf and already come out almost 30 balls richer (including 5 Pro V1s :D). I don't think I'll be buying balls again for a looooong time. Pros for this retriever: - Very lightweight and compact. Don't even notice it in the bag - Easy to quickly deploy - Once a ball is secure in the teeth, the ball won't fall out Cons: - This does not work very well on muddy lake/pond bottoms. If you try to push down on the ball, it just digs deeper in the mud. If you try to scoop underneath it, it just kicks up soot so you can't see the ball and it likely rolls away. If you are in an area with muddy water, get something that you can clinch around the ball - Doesn't always collapse. This could have just been when it was wet but on one hole the retriever would not collapse so I was walking around with a 10ft pole... I eventually got some of them to retract but it was quite frustrating. - Finally, when fully extended, it does not feel very sturdy and if you are a bit rough with it, I can definitely foresee it snapping. It has already almost paid for itself so I just need to remind myself that I don't have to retrieve EVERY ball I can see.

Works well
Too cold to golf but picking up a ball from a soft surface such as a pillow seems to work great. Will know better during golf season. Good long reach as well when fully extended.

Broke in less than 3 rounds
Easy to use and light… but that’s about it. It is flimsy and it lasted me less than 3 rounds and didn’t even use it in all 3 rounds… wouldn’t recommend

Good value and good tool

But the smaller version igotcha
Not as good at grabbing the golf ball as the smaller igotcha model. Different mechanic. Shame they didn’t keep with the other spring loaded mechanism

Easy to use!
Lightweight and easy to use by just pressing on the golf ball. Previously I had a well known brand ball retriever that was useless and awkward to use. My wife and I both have these IGOTCHA ball retrievers .
