Great product
I've used other similar sighting products, along with the lasers, and this works the best. I've used one of these in the past and have always had good results with it when sighting in my rifles.

Pretty good boresighter
This boresighter works pretty good, if you put the scope right on center with a 22Lr or equivalent youll be almost centered, I used it on my sks and the the sights have to be just a hair above center line to hit a 6 inch circle at 100 yards, I also used it on 3 mosins, one of them with a scope, I had to put the scope 4 squares above center to hit target, the other 2 mosins have iron sights and those got set at 2 above and the other one at 3 above. Its a little tricky to use at 1st, but it works, and its fairly good for getting on paper, I used it at the range, which was nice to help get on paper 1st.... when I sighted in scoped mosin on center line it hit high at 100 yards, (like 14 inches) so I went 2 squares up from center at first, then shot, still high but better, then went 4 squares above, and made 6 shots in 6 inch circle at 100 yards, the rifle was rested with sand bags and I barely touched the gun to fire, just to pull trigger and just having my shoulder against it. I am happy with it, when using it just dont let it shift around in bore., the arbors work ,but still be careful, It will not work on any raised scope like a AR 15 or M4 so keep that in mind My thoughts is if its a high powered round go up from center 1st, if above you shoot low if under center you shoot high,, for me center line only worked on my 22 lr rifle, bring it with you to the range and get on paper. vertically I had no issues with left or right with my rifles......kinda wierd

Excellent Product. Pays For Itself In Ammo Cost savings Alone
This was purchased quite a while back but after using it I didn't think to come straight back and post a customer review. I used this for two different rifles. One in an older Winchester Model 190 .22 long rifle. After about 30 years owning this Winchester I decided to "splurge" on a new scope to replace the one it originally came with. The other a new Ruger American 30.06. The scope for the .22 is a Bushnell fixed 4x32 and the scope for the 30.06 is 3-9 power Redfield Evolution. This boresigher does exactly what it claims to do. I sighted them at home then took them to the range. The 30.06 was hitting about 3 inches to the right initially and the .22 was hitting about 4 inches left at 11:00. Took only minor adjustments on both to get good center mass groupings. The boresighter essentially paid for itself just in cost savings sighting two rifles without going through a couple boxes of ammo for each to get on the paper. Also, if you are into the math and use the directions that accompany the product it would be possible to figure trajectory and use the grid pattern of the boresighter to get initial settings for longer range targets. If there is one recommendation I would make to Bushnell it's this. Add a level to the boresighter to alleviate the need to look through the scope and align the grid to the scope reticles. This would make set up easier and it would also serve to ensure the scope is mounted correctly (reticles true vertical and horizontal).

Easy to use, and works like a charm.
I was kinda skeptical, and didn't know what to expect when I ordered this. But, boy, am I glad I did. I had a rifle that I had just put a new variable power scope on. It really needed to be bore sighted. I verified that the scope was level to the rifle, grabbed the correct insert, and put it in the sighting scope, and placed it in the barrel. Using a lead sled to keep the rifle steady, it's just a matter of putting the scope cross hairs on the center of the little target you see in the boresight. Easy. So, took the rifle out to zero it today. WOW! I am impressed. Dead on left to right, and only about 5 inches high. A few clicks, to adjust the height, and couple more rounds to verify, and it was dead on. The cost saving on "shooting around" to find the zero amazing. Total of 8 rounds fired and gun is dead on. I would recommend this tool.

Works to get you on paper but is way off . Shoots low after using this
Works to get you on paper but is way off . Shoots low after using this. Had to use more ammunition than anticipated. It’s okay but I’d find something better since ammunition is costly.

Zeroing in
Watched a retired lifetime gunsmith use one to boresight a rifle/scope project of mine -- a semi-auto which could not be boresighted the traditional way. Sure enough, he got me very close at 100 yards. I researched it, the price was reasonable, and so I bought one for myself. What truly surprised me was that my brand new one seems to be right there in quality comparison with the smiths 20+ year old unit. Nice case, decently built, the biggest difference being that -- despite what the product photo depicts above -- the cases now come with a weird magnetic latching system for the flap. Seems cheesy, but works well.....so far. My biggest squawk? It isn't very close to true zero, but at least it is consistent. Once I figured out that it would always put the first shot three inches high and two left, I could adjust the scopes reticles against the internal collimating grid to compensate and get a near-bullseye on the first shot thereafter. This will definitely get you close to zero at 100 yards on your first shot thus saving precious ammo at the range the next day. I also own a laser type boresighter and this Bushnell seems to be a better choice. The lasers are all so stinking dim that they can only be used outdoors at dusk and at very close ranges, whereas this Bushnell unit can be used indoors from the comfort of your own living room and no scrambling for oddball batteries at the last minute.

Excellent product at an affordable price.
I have tried many different bore sighters in the past of lesser quality for the simple reason everyone love a bargain. Some would put you on paper at 25 yards and some wouldn't even do that. The Bushnell bore sighter although at a bargain price is a quality piece. Arbors fit securely in rifle bore without any movement. This bore sighter has put me on paper within 4 inches of centre at 100 yards on 3 of 4 rifles. The other was 2 inches low and 1/2 in left. On 4 magnum caliber This product has just about paid for itself wit the savings on ammo. Will be purchasing the 50 cal arbor for my black powder rifles and woul love to find the .17 cal as well. If you have lost all faith in bore sighters give this one a try. It will not disappoint.

Works perfect!!!
Great product!!! Got me on paper right away, easy to use for its intended purpose. People just got to know what they're doing, this is not going to get you hitting bullseye right away. You have to do your part.

Save yourself a lot of money on ammunition- good quality kit
I have many rifles and optics to go with...I sometimes change up the optics and in the past have spent a lot of $$ on ammunition trying to find paper. In the past I've eventually had to borrow a friends bore sight kit. Very happy with this purchase. The tool itself and the different bore rods come in a good quality box that will not fall apart and will last for a very long time. Well worth the $$ if shooting/hunting is a hobby and you have a collection to choose from.

Works for most scopes
Great item, works very well for just about any scope that is low enough, taller scopes won't work as they look over it a little too much (mostly just AR style setups) so you can't see the grid. To make best use, roughly align using the grid, test fire to perfection and record the position on the grid...next time you install the scope on that gun re-use the recorded numbers and you're right on target without a single bullet. Ex. .223 rem shoots +1 over center at 100 yards, .22LR shoots on short barrel rifle -2 Under at 50 yards, .22LR shoots on long barrel rifle at -1 at 50 yards...different calibers drop at different rates, same with ammo changes in the same caliber...great if you have to change between ammunition regularly or move your scope between guns...just record your numbers and you'll save a fortune on ammo.

Quality control
Received the item but upon unboxing found that the item had paint chipped off around the edge of the lens. The item doesn’t appear to have been used but it concerns me that quality control was lacking here or the item was possibly a return that had been dropped at some point. Tried it on a rifle that I had placed a new scope and was able to get it within the grid and hopefully on paper. Will take it to the range and see what happens and update this review. To note the 22 cal arbour will not fit GSG 22 caliber rifles, appears to be too big.
