Great for tailoring

This wrist cushion works wayyy better than the ones I use at work in a tailoring shop. It’s pricey but worth it.

Made for a true Designer!

Pros: - Great Look - Sturdy - Holds Pins Easily - Slightly Adjustable Cons: - A little big for me, you cannot make it smaller - A bit pricey I am a Fashion Design major and I do not mind dishing out some money here or there for a product I know I will enjoy using and use constantly. Coming into a new semester I decided to buy a wrist pincushion as I didn't like my older ones. It's very hard to find a fashion forward kind of pincushion. Most pincushions look like your grandmas quilting one. This one was the one of the top designer ones that I found but none of the others were for the wrist which is what I originally wanted so I decided to buy this one. I will say all the better looking pincushions in general were more expensive and this was probably the cheaper one. I noticed another review said the name was not engraved on their pincushion but mine did come with the name. I pointed out in the video a few design errors that I can't tell if they are actually errors or just my piece such as the legs of the bracelet being uneven. There is little flex to the bracelet and you cannot really adjust it, just open and close it but it will always go back to it's original spot. I have small wrists and I was not able to make it smaller so I actually just wear it higher up on my arm. With high quality pins I had no issues sticking the needles into the cushion like another review stated. I did notice that my cheap black pins did get a little tough here and there but not a single issue with my draping pins. I carry this with me in my backpack that has several heavy textbooks and what not and I have had no issues. It's very durable and I love it. If you are reading this review you are likely thinking about getting it and if you are considering it I would say get it. I have used this everyday that I have worked with pins since I got it. I love it and feel professional and elegant and it's easier having the pins on my wrist rather than having to stretch over to the table and get them. Just don't do what I did and get black pins to match, they suck, get high quality pins instead.

A fun splurge

I've seen these worn by a couple designers in their sewing videos and wanted to give one a try. I have other wrist pin cushions but they're not stable, or comfortable. I will say reading the reviews here made me question whether or not it would fit comfortably. I went ahead with buying one despite other reviewers' feedback. I have thin wrists, so I wear mine behind my Fitbit moving up my arm. Gertie Hirsch (Charm Patterns) wears hers the same way. It's comfortable, and I have no issue with the quality. This is a pleasant splurge. I keep it on (unlike other wearable pin holders) so it is functional.

Mixed Review

tl;dr: I don’t think it’s authentic but it does the job Hey! So I became kind of obsessed with the Bohin pin cushions watching Gertie’s videos this quarantine and wanted to get one. After googling them a bit, this popped up on my amazon recommendations and I added it to my cart immediately. But I’m not sure how I feel about the product I received. First, it’s definitely not velvet—but given how prone to catching lint velvet is, I’m actually fine with that. Second, the wrist band is oddly shaped and VERY tight. And it leaves brown discoloration all over my arm. Not a deal breaker, but annoying. This weekend I plan to tape it off and hit the inside of the band with some clear coat to hopefully stop that. It does have the brand name stamped on the outside; but again, I don’t think it’s authentic. Overall, I will continue to use it. But I think it might be a ‘you get what you paid for’ scenario.

Arrived bent, broke when trying to fix

The pincushion itself is very decent. It’s also a very pretty product overall. Unfortunately the metal wristband was horribly warped on arrival and the metal it’s made of is terribly brittle so that bending it to the shape of your wrist will be impossible without it snapping, as it did for me. I saved it by gluing the top piece to a mason jar so that it is now a pin storage/cushion combo, which is fine. But if you absolutely need one for your wrist I suggest something else.

Pretty Good, Not Perfect

There are little metal "button" things underneath the pin cushion where it rests on your arm (you can see them in the customer photos) and it pinches your arm! I just cut a cheaper piece of black fabric and pinned it on each side of the cushion. Once that was done I really liked it! Much more comfortable with something underneath it though if you're wearing it on bare skin.

Useful product, but you could probably make yourself.

Works really well and like it. However it is literally a jar top that is screwed onto to a bracelet. The pincushion was not attached when it arrived. I got glued it and it was fine. Works really well but you could probably make it yourself.
