I needed to replace my original wire cable that came installed on my RT40 Warn Winch on my 08 Polaris Ranger. I allmost ordered the WRONG one but read and placed close attention to Warn's description of the different kits. They state to replace your fairlead when changing to synthetic rope so after compairing the costs the kit seemed to be the best deal. The different kits come with different size diameter rope and probably different size fairleads as well. Could have been the issue the one reviewer had with the fairlead size. This one bolted right up to my Ranger and was exactly the right size. Do be aware however that the fiarlead dies NOT come with new mounting bolts so you need to reuse your old ones. Took me less that an hour to replace my old wire cable and install the new synthetic rope and the new fairlead. The synthetic rope is certainly much easier to handle and much lighter. It wound up very nicely on the winch drum. Just have to wait and see how it holds up to the winter plowing season.

great winch cable

Got this for my Brother for xmas to replace the wire cable on his polaris ranger. He really likes the lightness, and the fact that he doesn't stab his fingers with the metal wires from the old cable. According to him, once you go synthetic, you'll never go back!!

A bit disappointed

I was a bit disappointed that the fairlead was a different size than I expected. The company simply said to return it, at my cost.

With this Rope no problems at all easy to wrap easy to un-spool and so far very ...

My side by side came with a steel cable, it was a pain to wrap up and most of the time my co-pilot (Wife) could pull hard enough to un-spool it. With this Rope no problems at all easy to wrap easy to un-spool and so far very strong. I have a Cam-Am Commander 1000 4 seater one of the biggest machines around and I got it good and stuck more the once and out she came without any issues. Very Happy.

Synthetic rope is junk

This review is on the product and not the supplier. This is not the first synthetic warn rope I've purchased or owned, not sure if warn changed material they use but this rope is horrible. I've always had good luck with previous warn ropes that I used and they were way tougher than the steel wire rope. I purchased this rope in Oct 2015 and since then it's broke about 8-9 times and is around 15 ' shorter. The sad part is I didn't use the winch a whole lot.....maybe 25 times. Very disappointed with this Warn product as it does not come cheap.
