This pull-up bar is..
A pretty nice pull up bar. It was super easy to assemble and the pipe seems like pretty sturdy material. The unit came in silver and I believe it was advertised in white but I like the color. Two of the plastic end caps were busted inward but I had two extras on the extensions so I'm good. These are for aesthetic or protective purposes and don't affect its functionality. There are also a few hard plastic bushings that seem good enough now but I wonder about in the long term but if they break they are easily replaceable with neoprene washers from your local hardware store. The grip points are fairly thin foam and seem okay but probably will wear with time. The unit itself seems pretty sturdy when installed. I believe that the design of bent pipes and 6 bolted connection points as well as the extra downward pressure on the frame from the extended grip positions contribute to the sturdy feeling of this pull up bar. Installation and removal is simple and is done with one easy movement. Hold unit at a diagonal angle with connection points situated respectively to the door frame on one side and above door on the other and push upward and twist into place, center above the opening and both sides of the frame and pull downward on the unit until it secures into place over and on top of the top frame and onto the side frames. I would err on the side of caution and give it a couple of good pulls and give it a test hang before going all-in. I weigh 175 lbs and I did some Pull-ups, chin-ups and knee raises and this thing felt solid and safe. I also tried band assisted Pull-Ups and it worked great. The wide pull up position, side grip and regular chin up positions extend up and away from the door frame which works nice with my step down to the hall! There are also lower grip positions in the center for chin-ups or Pull-Ups. Six different grip positions in all so it seems pretty versatile. I really like the sideways grip which was one of the determining factors of this purchase. As is I think that the hard plastic contact points would be hard on a painted wood frame. Most frames are beveled or cut where there are cornered edges so I suggest a bit of padding to help protect your frame. I have hard vinyl composite brown wood grain door frames so it seems to be doing fine but I will probably cut up a mouse pad or get some foam from the hardware store and put a bit of cushioning under the contact points. My opening is 36.5" inside dimension and with the extensions it fits perfectly centered on the door frame. This can also be used on the floor for raised push-ups, dips Etc. So far I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it. I went back and forth between this unit and a few that were cheaper and as far as functionality, a seemingly solid build and the extended positioning with multi grip points this just seemed like the best choice for me. I don't have experience with any other door frame mounted pull-up bars but so far I'm really happy with this one.

This Is Perfect
I looked at different bars and read reviews on many sites and decided to try this one. It is great. No permanent installation needed, very well designed. Great balance. I have no negative comments. We have had it for over a month and there are no issues with our woodwork on our doors My husband is 185 lbs and we have no concerns with this bar. We do not need to remove it so I can not answer to anyone who would need to do that

Extremely sturdy and useful exercise bar
I was initially concerned after reading some of the negative reviews. But, I am thrilled with this purchase. Assembly was very easy. The unit is much heftier than my previous doorway chin-up bar. The individual tubes are also thicker than my previous bar. The unit fits in my doorway perfectly, though, as you can see from one of the close-up photos, I had to slide one of the resting pads down the tube on the left side to make better contact with the door frame. The unit is a good height and allows me to do my chin-ups and pull-ups with good clearance from the floor. Though, I am 5'9" and, with my reach, I can just grab the bar on my tiptoes. Because the bar is a little thicker than most cheaper doorway chin-up bars, some people with smaller hands may find grasping the bar a little difficult at first. But, I like the thicker bar because it actually helps me develop a stronger grip. I did purchase a couple of sets of SmartGrepp Weightlifting Grips to help me grasp the bar more securely. Bottom line...it works well for me. I believe that it's fairly priced, well-made, positions securely in the doorway and offers many more range of motion exercises than the cheaper alternatives.

SOLID
Instead of needing to almost take a knee I need to get on my toes to grab the bar. Solid bar worth the money for sure. I'm 5'8 175lb.

Arrived incomplete - **Updated**
**UPDATE 2/27/2021** I received the hardware from the manufacturer that was missing in the initial shipment. They responded fairly quickly and all was taken care of via email. I assembled the bar fairly easily, dyslexic as I am. It feels very sturdy and I doubt it would fail easily. I weigh >180 lbs and there is no give in the equipment. Even though the instructions for assembly are sparse, I didn't have any difficulty figuring it out. I did find it very helpful to have a 10 and 13 mm ratcheting box-end wrench but I could have assembled it with the tools provided. Everything seems to be reasonably well-manufactured. Alas, the only complaint I have is the force placed on the wall above the door frame. When using the neutral and angled wide-grip handles, that force was enough to break the vertical studs above the door frame. The bar in the center (straight bar) creates more downward force and I can use that without damaging the wall above the frame. I don't have a good way to measure the amount of leveraged force the crossmember places on the wall but even with my 180 lb frame, it was enough to push the studs out, causing the door trim to break loose. I can easily repair it and do have a potential work-around I will post if it works out. I was very much looking forward to using the neutral grip handles as I have a shoulder injury that is aggravated by other grips. This bar assembly just won't allow it with my door frames. It looks like a great idea but the design creates a fulcrum with a fair bit of leverage. I will try to build something that spreads this force out over a larger area so that I can use it safely. Original Post ----------------- I've noticed numerous other customers have had this problem. My bar arrived without ANY of the hardware required to assemble it. I have contacted customer support but haven't heard back yet. I will give them a few more days. If I'm able to get the required hardware quickly and actually assemble it and use it, I'll update this rating based on my experience. It just seems like VERY poor quality control to ship a product without the necessary parts. If I can't get the parts taken care of soon, I'll return the product for a refund.

Quality, well built, diverse workouts
Exceeded my expectations. Quality is evident right out of the box, took minutes to assemble, already has padding in place to not damage doorway. Pullups feel natural just like if you were to do them on a squat cage and my ceiling is only about a foot above the doorway. Because of the extensions the doorway does not get in your way. Easily adjustable top the doorway in right spaces. I can even attach my Olympic rings and trx straps with confidence it can take the strain, and without worry the bars will bend or break, a main reason I bought this particular one. The bars are single piece and solid steel. Grips are quality and comfortable. Even works well for dips. Easily moveable to other spots. Expensive but much better than any other pullup bar I have seen or tried. Highly recommended especially with the effects covid has had on quality workouts. You won't regret it. Ensure you follow the instructions and do not overtighten the blue washers and you will be good to go. 6' , 185Lbs, fit dude

Décent pull-up bar
It has taken some paint off my door jamb but the quality wood they used in building this old house is holding up nicely. And the rubberized pieces help to protect the wood from real damage. The foam that they use on the handles could have been better quality. It’s been an integral part of my Covid gym since mid-2020, so going on two years.

Great doorway pull up bar for calisthenics!
I was looking for a doorway pull up bar that would elevate me higher when doing pull ups and this increased the height about 12" over my previous doorway pull up bar. I can now comfortably do them without being restricted to squat under the pull up bar when doing pull ups and this pull up bar allows me to do a greater range of motion. Yes, I have to still bend my knees, but not as much as before with my old pull up bar. You'll definitely need this if you're tall. You'll feel more comfortable using this. I also like the 3 different hand grip positions you can use to do pull ups. The foam grips are comfortable to use and are a similar material to my dip bar. Overall, this doorway pull up bar works. It's easy to assemble with the tools provided. It's great for calisthenics and will allow you to hang it in a doorway for you to perform pull up motions in calisthenics to build strong arms, back, abs and obliques.

Very good with some downsides
Eventually my drywall couldn't hold up but this is a very good product no matter what ! Was very easy to assemble, fits the door frame very nicely, and the clearance away from the door and up from the floor were great ! However as other reviews noted once assembled it is not completely "level" on both sides, it is a large unit which requires large storage space, and the good clearance also means that more force is directed at the frame and the wall ! Eventually gave this to a friend since couldn't really use it . . .

Great chin-up bar
This is the best built doorframe mounted chin-up bar I have used. The hardware and gauge of metal is an indicator of quality. Not made of tinfoil or plastic. For those who think they can get a chin-up bar that doesn’t damage their casing somewhat - that is wishful thinking. Eventually the padding breaks and the metal will dig into your casing. Either way it will wear away at your paint. I don’t see this as a negative. It’s the cost of getting in shape when you don’t have room for a floor-based model. Does it really matter if your door frame casing has some scuff marks or dents?
