Just Like the Original Parts

My Tetra air pump suddenly got really loud, so I knew it had to be worn out diaphragms. Sure enough, they both had splits next to the screws that hold them on. This kit had the complete internal assembly, so the parts were easy to install. The pump is now as quiet as it was when brand new and should last several more years.

Back up and running

All of my old school filters were cheaper and easier to repair. A diaphragm, a few rubber flapper valves and rubber hold down stoppers. It only cost a few dollars for the parts. These new air pumps are designed different and the repair kits are over kill, hence the extra cost. Just be careful sliding the valve body in as the O-rings slip out and pinch easily. Sad thing is I only needed 2 diaphragms.

THIS WORKED OUT GREAT BUT NOT SIMPLE TO INSTALL

Awesome. I have the 30-60 whisper pump and the 60/100 kit fit it. I took photos of what they look like as well as what exactly is the problem when your pump stops working. That round black rubber drum thing tears after a while and that is what causes the whole mess of it not blowing air anymore as you can see in my pic. I don't know why they don't just sell the black rubber drum thing by itself because It screws on to that silver part and the round rubber thing actually just fits over the white square plastic so it is possible to just replace that rubber that tears after a while. It is welded on though other side of that screw. I took photos of the welded part as well. Now The small "O" rings were a problem to install because the groove where they go in is not deep enough to hold them while you slide the part into its slot so you have to be careful and make sure the o rings are fitted just right and not being squashed and taken out of place. I wish they would have glued those or something so they stay in place and not move at all. Which again they make you buy this whole kit so why are the "O" rings separated from the part like as if there is a way for you to buy just the O rings if something happens to them only. Anyway, People said it was simple to replace this pump parts but I found it just a tad challenging not at all 100% simple. I'm still not sure if the O rings were put in right. It works fine now so oh well. I'm not gonna touch it anymore til next time it stops blowing air.

Easy install

No problem putting it in. Wish I could buy just the diaphragm cups, but since I have to get the whole kit why not add some extra filters.

Super easy to replace and much better than buying a new pump

Very easy to replace, my only concern is that you can only buy the repair kit with the whole armatures, when it's just the rubber cups that mostly break down. Would much rather just get a pack pf those and not send other plastic to the landfill unnecessarily.

Did not work

I replaced and the pump is now very weak and will only pump air a couple inches. The O rings were difficult to put in and the product lacked much of any instructions. Waste of $$ for me.

These are the exact replacements for your broken parts.

These will repair your pump and you won't have to buy a new pump, very easy to install. Just to bad that the Tetra company does not warranty the rubber parts, as my pump was only about a year old. But have had others in the past which didn't fail even after years. So I may have just had a faulty one from the start.

Pump runs like new. This is not shocking since the kit replaces almost all of the moving parts. The kit is easy to install.

Quick Fix

Used this kit to repair our 30-60 Air Pump, took all of a few minutes to do and now pump is fully functional again. For the price it beats buying a new air pimp.
