Great pencil sharpener
There is nothing to dislike about this pencil sharpener! It sharpens to a fine point and stops automatically. I purchased one to use at home after working with many different sharpeners in our school. This sharpener performs the best!

Best sharpener for classroom!
I am a 6th and 7th grade math teacher, so the sharpener gets used a lot! It gets the pencils sharp and quickly, and won’t let the little pencils that are too small in it! Junior High safe, lol! This sharpener was worth the money I spent on it!

Teacher’s Best Electric Pencil Sharpener
If you are a math teacher you are really going to appreciate this electric pencil sharpener. Very quiet and automatically turns off when the pencil is sharpened. No more class interruptions by students forever sharpening a pencil just to hear the sound of the sharpener keep going and going and going. Happy wife said this is the best sharpener I’ve had in my classroom in 15 years.

Best sharpener so far...
Elementary and middle school Art teacher. Had it for 2 weeks so far, so good. Had a 2nd grader stick a short pencil in but it didn't get stuck. Instead I was able to flip it and it fell out. Middle school loves that it tells them when to stop. I love that when turns blue and stops, it stops for a few seconds not sharpening again until the pencil exits and reenters or another pencil. That stops the pencil sharpening shenanigans a lot.

The X-ACTO Teacher Pro is a decent pencil sharpener. But it could be better. The problem is that I've researched (and tested some) other pencil sharpeners and there really isn't a clear cut "best." It just doesn't exist at any price. Pros: Somewhat quiet fast LED sharp point indicator is a nice feature adjustable pencil sizes large bin Nice looking design Cons: Questionable build quality only because of plastic parts (but all manufactures do the same thing) 10 year warranty is deceiving because cutter only has 2 years, the motor and other parts are 10 years. messy to clean up because shavings make their way behind the bin I'll explain the questionable build quality. The cutter assembly should be all metal and it unfortunately has plastic parts holding it together. There are two screws that hold a counter weight (opposite side of the spinning cutter) as it spins (because there is only one cutter). This counter weight is held in place by these two screws that are screwed into a plastic part. On one unit I had, unfortunately the screw fell out with plastic still holding on to the screw (so the counter weight plastic screw hole broke off). So it was the plastic that failed. Well lucky it happened within my Amazon return period...but otherwise I expect that the manufacture warranty would have been honored. It is still a hassle. It would have been nice if the cutting mechanism was user replaceable and it isn't and there isn't even a replacement part available. Perhaps one isn't worth it as it would probably cost around $25 and a new sharpener is about $30 (Amazon pricing). The only difference that I can see between this Teacher Pro model and the ProX model is that the ProX has a metal base making it heavier. The ProX also has a metal clip on the bottom. This metal clip on the ProX is troublesome as it is fastened by a weak metal rivet and can break off easy. I much prefer the Teacher Pro with a thick plastic clip to hold the tray in. The heavier weight of the ProX is nice that helps when sharpening and not having to hold the sharpener down with the other hand. So the ProX and the Teacher Pro are the same unit with the same features. I would argue that the Teacher Pro is a bit nicer looking (I know that is subjective). I don't find the Teacher Pro to be too light as you can sharpen a pencil without holding the Teacher Pro down with the other hand but just barely....it still feels a bit better to hold it down with the other hand. For the price difference I would go with the Teacher Pro rather than the ProX.

Same Sharpener as the School
This electric pencil sharpener looks just like you see in the photo. First impressions are that this is built to last. It feels solid and the weight of it means you don't need to hold onto it while it operates. It is larger than we expected as it is about 7" high x 7" deep x just over 5" wide. We bought this to replace an old battery operated one that died. It is nice knowing there are no batteries to replace. My daughter said this is same sharpener in her classroom at school but they need to ask the teacher for help in using it. She is in grade 2. We understand why because the motor is very strong. Turning the dial to select the correct diameter for the pencil is easy for a child. With a firm grip on the end of a pencil, start by pushing it in quickly. Continue to hold it while gently nudging it forward as you feel the blades shaving away the pencil. In just a few seconds the LED light comes on to let you know it is done. It took my daughter a few tries at first as she was tentative pushing the pencil in but got the hang of it after sharpening about a four to five pencils. Hopefully this sharpener last as long as the warranty as some other reviewers have noted getting warranty service in Canada is non-existent. So far so good and we are pleased with it.

Mislead by Manufacturer and their website
Product arrived as scheduled. Upon opening the package, I quickly learned it did NOT have a very important feature that the manufacturer assured me it would have - I was informed it would have TWO cutters, it did not, only one. Had no interest further. Being returned. Not the fault of Amazon or Seller, I was mislead by XACTO/Elmer's. Very disappointed.

Received the used!
I paid for the new and received the used. I just received the package and found that the pencil sharpener had been used before. I saw fingerprints all over the bin and wood chips and debris were noticed inside. Bin doesn't fit and align well with the body.

Product supplied is useless in Australia. We
Product arrived with a USA plug and requiring 120 v. So it does not work in Australia, despite being ordered through the Australian Amazon website. To get a refund, I have to return it to the USA supplier at my expense. This is absolutely appalling!
