It's a Streetlight
It's a reliable light. it's not too large. It puts our a fair amount of lumens, but the peak intensity isn't super high; it's more of a flood than a tight spot; that's neither good nor bad, just application related. The yellow color is a good thing in the dark, and even in the light honestly; it's easy to spot.

Good value
Great flashlight for the money. I put in some lithium batteries as I live in weather extremes and store these in the car. They are not super night at all but are durable and well made, relatively cheap. More comfortable to hold than a mini mag and has built in clip and tail switch wich the mini mag does not come standard with. . I like that it’s yellow in case you drop it with low visibility. I would recommend and buy more.

Great goldilocks flashlight
It's a mid sized light that takes AA batteries. Works well. Streamlight quality walmart price. Love mine, use it every day.

Decent light, spot beam, much larger than competition
This is a decent light, but not spectacular. Compared to the 4-AA version, this one has a MUCH narrower beam, it's a spot beam compared to the flood beam of its larger cousin. It is a pretty bright spot, however, and that's somewhat unique in this style of flashlight. So if you want a spot beam you may like this light. This light is fairly large compared to most other 2-AA flashlights. I'd even call it bulky. The body diameter is significantly thicker than a mini-mag and the head is double that or more. Plus it's about 25% longer. I found the button at the end very easy to use. This light is much easier to turn on with one hand than the twist-operated lights. However, it comes on TOO easily in my opinion. The molding around the button that's supposed to protect it from getting pushed accidentally does not protrude far enough. If you push the back end of the flashlight against a flat surface, the light comes on (it doesn't toggle, so when you remove pressure it turns off on its own). I suspect this means it would easily turn on unintentionally in a glove compartment or toolbox, which reduces the level of confidence I would put on it. Similar to the 4-AA version, the batteries do not fit in snugly, so they rattle around inside. This should be an easy problem to solve, so I feel there's no excuse for it--but the larger version of this light is worse, so I guess that's just not a fit & finish detail that Streamlight cares about. Compared to other 2-AA flashlights, I would place this one somewhere in the middle. It's overly bulky and the finer details seem thought-out but are not implemented superbly. It is less bright than many others out there, including my Energizer 1-AA that has become my go-to pocket flashlight and costs 25% less than this one (see my other reviews for more about that one). Considering all of that, I wouldn't buy this one again unless I had to have a plastic light or push-button switch. Or, if you need a smallish light with a spot beam, this might be a good choice for you.

Always on my husband's person!
This flashlight is bright, dependable and a great value. My husband literally carries it in that little side pocket on his carpenter jeans at all times. He uses it about as often as he uses his monster Swiss army knife, so yeah, that's a lot.

Can be made to float
I chose this flashlight for a personal watercraft safety kit. My primary requirements for the flashlight were as follows: 1. Must be waterproof. 2. Must be compact enough to fit in the safety kit. 3. Must FLOAT. This flashlight will only float when equipped with AAA lithium primary cells installed in AAA to AA battery adaptors readily available on Amazon. Please note that some of these adaptors have metal contacts in both ends and may add too much weight. Use only the adaptors with the single metal contact on the positive end. When equipped as stated above, the flashlight will float. Any other battery combination used will cause the flashlight to sink. When equipped this way, the flashlight will burn for about 12 continuous hours at approximately 90 percent of its initial output, and about another 4 hours of usable light after that. The flashlight now meets my requirements.

Like this light. But a little on the dim side I guess.
I received this light today and am currently playing around with it. Seems like a pretty good light so far. Its not quite as bright as I'd like but I guess the dimmer the light the longer the batteries will last. I own probably 20 to 30 different LED flashlights and lean more toward the "see a couple hundred yards" brightness. This being said, I guess I'm just use to my 500+ lumen lights. This light will be a great addition to my bug-out bag. For a bug-out bag you really want something that will not drain batteries to fast and you also want something that takes batteries that you can find almost anywhere. Being that this runs on AA's that ideal. If the need be, you can pull batteries from a TV remote or anything else around the house if your in a pinch. Seems durable and probably waterproof. It'll be one of my more dependable lights, I hope. The little clip on it is a little flimsy and probably could break if your tempted to clipped it onto anything to thick, like your sun visor etc.

Like a Maglite AA, but plastic and tail-cap switch...
I was tired of having ultra bright LED flashlights which exhausted the batteries in 30 minutes or less. This one is supposed to last 24 hours. I'm past 24 (45 minute) dog walks in the dark and it is still going strong. It has survived a few drops. It has a focused beam, good to identify critters up to 50-100 feet away (depending on your own visual acuity of course). If you are looking for a compact flashlight with long lasting battery life, give this one a try.

Less is More
I've owned dozens of LED flashlights over the years, and the one thing that frustrates me most is needing to depress the switch multiple times just to get to the right setting. How often do we really need a strobe mode when picking up dog poop off the lawn at night, or simply looking for something under the bed? The Streamlight has a basic but solid rubber on/off switch, which is all I need for 99.9% of the time. And although the light isn't the brightest flashlight I own or have owned, it's more than bright enough, and certainly brighter than any flashlight anyone, including law enforcment officers, used when I was a kid. The light beam itself is fairly compact and clean, with a slightly creamy tinge. There are no weird artifiacts or distortions in the light beam, just clean, pure light. The other thing I love about this flashlight is the plastic housing. It's basic, simple, and solid. And when I need to temporarioy have both hands free (like tying shoelaces during a night walk), it's a lot more comfortable clenching between the teeth than aluminium flashlights. I've never owned a flashlight that I've appreciated as much as this Streamlight. It's not the cheapest flashlight for what it does, but it's priceless for what it doesn't do.

These are good enough they get stolen..
These flashlights are the best. Better than the 3 AA types with more LED's. Intrinsically safe, very bright, fits very well in the special holder for on your hardhat. Extremely handy to have around. Get a couple for spares and don't loan them out. They won't come back. I know.

Its Ok
I purchased this light based solely on the reputation of streamlight, and the great battery life. Its a decent light, push on/off on the back feels a bit akward/cheap. Other than that, its a decent light. I don't use it that often, so it should last a while. I bit too bulky to have in shirt pocket. Takes 2-AA battery's which is great also. For a light use flashlight.. I highly recommend. Not sure how long it would hold up using it everyday though.
