Results of capacity testing shows its slightly below the competition.
I tested the AA size Amazon brand battery to find out the actual usable capacity as compared to the AA Duracell Procell battery. The results showed that the Amazon battery is about 88 percent the capacity of the Duracell. If you calculate the cost per unit capacity, the batteries are almost identical. The Amazon battery was actually slightly more expensive when represented in cost per Watt-Hour. Because of this I would probably choose the Procell (if I can get a good price on it) just because it means less frequent battery changes. The Amazon battery is a surprisingly good battery though. You will probably barely notice the difference in capacity, so if you don't want to waste time shopping around then its a good choice. I also performed the same test on Duracell Copper Top, and Energizer Max. Their performance was nearly identical to the Procell. More interestingly, I tested the Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA cell. This cell was 4 times the cost of a procell at $1.27 per cell! However the capacity was only 1.5 times that of the Procell. So don't waste your money on these batteries, they're much more expensive per unit of capacity. The capacity of all these batteries were measured in Watt-Hours. Here are the numbers. AA Amazon Battery = 2.71 Wh. My cost per cell = $0.291. Cost per Watt-Hour = $0.107 AA Duracell Procell = 3.09 Wh. My cost per cell = $0.321. Cost per Watt-Hour = $0.104 AA Energizer Lithium = 4.86 Wh. My cost per cell = $1.27. Cost per Watt-Hour = $0.261 This test was done using an op-amp circuit to maintain a constant current load at 100ma. Voltage and current were being logged ounce per minute and this data was used to calculate the Amp-Hour with a 0.8 volt cutoff. The Watt-Hour was then calculated by multiplying the Amp-Hour by the average voltage from the beginning of the test to 0.8 volts. All batteries mentioned were tested using this same method. Note that the capacity of these batteries can change dramatically under different conditions. The same battery under a heavy load will have a fraction of the capacity that it would under a light load. This data is only good for a comparison when choosing what battery is worth buying at what price. Unless your device loads the battery at a constant current of 100ma. In summery, the Amazon batteries are not bad batteries (at least based on this test using the AA cell). If you choose to shop around for a name brand battery, stay at or below $0.33 per cell. Anything above $0.33 per cell will be more expensive per unit capacity than the Amazon battery. Oh, and definitely stay away from the Energizer Lithium unless expense is not an issue. These batteries are only worth the additional cost if your application requires a light weight and relatively high capacity battery regardless of cost. These batteries are surprisingly light weight compared to an alkaline.lkaline.

Watt You Need to Know: A Shockingly Good Product & Deal
Ah, batteries - the unsung heroes of our modern digital & gadget filled world. The Amazon Basics Batteries, are a reliable choice that offers quality and value in equal measure. Now, I know we've all been tempted by those bargain-bin brands, but let's face it: they're about as useful as a chocolate teapot. With Amazon Basics, however, I've always found long-lasting power and a surprisingly pleasant quality "hand feel." When I stock up on these AA batteries, my collection box runneth over. And trust me, that's a good thing! Between remote controls, game controllers, and countless other gadgets, there's always something in need of a little more juice. With a 10-year shelf life and leak-free design, these Amazon Basics batteries never leave me high and dry. While writing this review, I checked six nearby battery-powered items (just for kicks). Half of them were already running on Amazon Basics batteries! The other half? Well, they came with their own batteries in the product box, so I can't fault them for that. But when it's time for a swap, you can bet I'll be reaching for the Amazon Basics. Amazon Basics batteries aren't just limited to AA and AAA sizes. Amazon's battery lineup has got me covered from A to Zinc (see what I did there?), with button cells, D batteries, and more. The packaging is crisp and clear, so I always find the right fit in a jiffy, especially since they are bright orange in a sea of toned down basic colors inside of my battery surplus box. One part of Amazon Basics Batteries that I appreciate is the that they take a stand for the environment. With a longer lifespan than your run-of-the-mill disposables, they'll make fewer trips to the landfill and help reduce the eco-impact of battery production and disposal. Amazon Basics batteries leave behind the hazardous materials like cadmium, mercury, and lead, all notorious for their toxicity to humans and Mother Earth. They are crafted with eco-friendlier materials, such as alkaline and nickel-metal hydride. The packaging for Amazon Basics batteries is also green as it's designed to be recyclable, it ensures that even the final resting place for your batteries is eco-conscious. While I'm a fan of Amazon Basics Batteries, there's one minor gripe that keeps me from giving them a perfect score. I've noticed that they may not last quite as long as some big brand name batteries in power-hungry devices. However, Amazon Basic Batteries make up for that with their price, quality, quantity, shipping times, and convenience. These batteries perform admirably in devices with lower power requirements, like TV remotes and wireless keyboards. But when it comes to gadgets that rapidly drain batteries, these do not appear to be the top choice. I'm just very mindful of the amount of batteries I go through, as I'd rather not contribute excessively to e-waste, especially with batteries. Despite this minor shortcoming, Amazon Basics Batteries remain a solid choice for most everyday devices. For the power hungry devices or devices that are needing a longer lasting battery, I tend to go with the more expensive Lithium Ion batteries. For everything else these do beautifully. It's a win for my devices, wallet and the planet. I highly recommend them and they are my preferred choice for needing a good replacement to basic household batteries. Clutch Performance
Listen, I know what you're thinking - a review of AA batteries? How exciting could that be? But let me tell you, these Amazon Basics 48 Pack AA High-Performance batteries are the Derek Jeter of batteries. They're reliable, they're strong, and they always come through when you need them most. I mean, who hasn't had that moment where you're in the middle of an intense TV remote battle, and suddenly your batteries die on you? It's like a sucker punch to the gut. But with these Amazon Basics batteries, you can rest easy knowing that you're fully stocked up and ready for anything. And let's talk about the packaging for a second. It's like a little battery fortress - all 48 of them nestled safely inside, just waiting for you to unleash them into the world. It's like you're the leader of a tiny army, and these batteries are your troops. But the real kicker? These batteries last FOREVER. Okay, maybe not forever, but they sure do last a long time. It's like they've tapped into some sort of battery superpower that the other guys just can't compete with. I mean, I've used these things for everything from toys to remotes to kitchen gadgets, and they just keep on chugging along. So if you're in the market for some batteries (and let's be real, who isn't?), do yourself a favor and pick up these Amazon Basics 48 Pack AA High-Performance batteries. They're like the superhero of batteries - reliable, powerful, and always ready to save the day.

Review from experience
When you are buying batteries, you are thinking about: 1) Battery life 2) Quality of the product Some of the reviews here scared me. After a few minutes of considering, I decided to order the batteries and try them myself. I have always been using batteries from Duracell, Panasonic and etc.. and I honestly feel no difference in terms of the battery life. The quality is as great as the ones from the major brands, so I decided to stick with AmazonBasics for batteries. I really hope my review helps some of you.

The media could not be loaded.
