great design, great company
I love the double clutch switch. It has been hard to find a headlamp that does not use a push button scrolling switch. their innovation is a triumph; accessing four well arranged light modes with intuitive ease. i've had the light for over three years end it developed a small mechanical problem that I assumed was out of warranty. I called the company to see if they could tell me give me some tips on fixing it and I spoke to a nice person who cared about the product who told me to send it in so they could fix it. They seem to make products they intend to work well and last a long time. I will continue to buy from Streamlight.

Great light
This is a great light that is rechargeable. I lost my other one that I had for over 10 years and new replacement seems of lesser quality ie. contstruction we'll see otherwise all is good

Great price
Love the product, except the battery pack would not take a recharge for which it was designed for. Had to buy a replacement rechargeable battery through battery junction LLC.

Great for daily use
I use this every day as a mechanic. It's basically part of my uniform. I have this, and the rechargeable pen light by stream light. And I don't use any other flashlights, ever. How durable is it? How long does it last? It's pretty durable. The strap lasts about 5 months before replacing. The forehead pad will fall off sometime in the first year. But it doesnt make much of a difference anyways. It's still fine for daily use without. The batteries last about 9-12 months before needing to replace. You do want to have a second battery for this by the way. One will last all day unless you are using it heavily. The tilt hinge lasts between one and two years before it looses its ability to hold. At that point you will need to replace the entire thing. But that's miles ahead of the competition. I get it wet with oil and grime plenty and splashed with water. It's plenty water resistant. I have dropped a driveshaft on it from about a foot while wearing it. Hurt like hell but didn't even break the light.

Best value rechargeable headlamp available
This light has been awesome. I’ve got one at work and one at home. Even after upgrading to a high end LEDLENSER I still use this almost every day as it allows the user to comfortably rest their head, in my case, on a creeper. You can comfortably run this ~6+ hours a day if you spend another 20 bucks for a stream light battery, which is safe to leave on the charger. Otherwise you can expect 3-4 hours. Can’t beat the value for money!

Awesome headlamp! Use it all the time.
Bought over two years ago. As an aircraft mechanic I use it often and can't do without. It has four settings, diffused and spot both with dim and bright. However I almost always use the diffused bright setting. But I like having options. The clutch works well. If you bump it accidentally it will change the brightness though. That being said the light is light weight and comfortable to wear. It is bright enough for what I use it for which is to light the area of stuff nearby and right in front of me. My only complaint is the battery. It is lightweight but only gives you 3 hours on bright. Thats not enough and the dim is too dim. However 3 AAAs can be used instead which is a cool feature but if my work didn't supply batteries it would be a different story. Ive though about buying a spare battery but they are half the cost of a new light and AAAs last twice as long anyways. But still much better than other lights Ive used!

Excellent work light
I purchased this product so I could have a rechargeable headlamp with the capability of accepting multiple types of batteries (the included rechargeable and AAAs.) Spot has the perfect beam divergence (subjective opinion) and flood is excellent for working up close. Low is good for most tasks and high is great for anything greater. My intention for this product was to use it as my headlamp for thru-hiking the PCT, and I chose this device because I love streamlight and I have had excellent experiences with them in the past, both their products and their customer service. This headlamp is pretty fantastic overall in terms of how it seals, how it operates, and light output. All said and done, this is NOT a good headlamp for hiking. For general purpose, it lacks a redlight (not a big deal for me), but the deal-breaker is that this thing is HEAVY (relatively speaking). I highly recommend this product for those that will be using it for legitimate work in low-light conditions light such as crawlspaces or pipework, where you can leave it on the charger for the better part of the day. But for thru-hiking, its weight and relatively short battery life make it not the best option.

Great light for the price hard to beat.
I believe for a battery free headlamp this is a great light for the price, as long as folks that are buying this for survival reasons or something along those lines your better off with a battery loaded light, if of course you keep battery replacements near, because as things go a rechargeable light will go out right when you need it most and there won't be any plug ins as many on some notable survival shows have pointed out. But for use and pre planning with things like solar etc. rechargeable can work, and this is a pretty good light again for the price.

Pro unit!
No need to turn it fast or hard to change light intensity. Just a slight turn ( a hair) once is fine. No need to double click it. This unit is solid and built well. Head strap and weight are comfortable to the point of forgetting you have it on your head. Included are two straps. One is rubberized to attach it to a hard hat or caving helmet. Any problems with the light are probably associated to unfamiliarity and improper usage due to lack of reading or understanding the instructions. This is a pro unit that will work every time you need it.

Good quality light
So far the light works great, gives lots of light to work with.Bought a second battery,it isn't a fast charge battery so if you use the light a lot I would recommend buying a backup battery pack.I have been using a battery powered Streamlight so the rechargeable light should pay for itself over time in the cost of triple A batteries.

Not very bright and only lasts 3 hours with charge.
This light isn't very bright and the charge doesn't last that long, 3 hours at best. Can't make it through my work day with one charge. Pretty disappointed, I'm a big Streamlight fan and this headlamp is a let down.

Recommend.
This light is awesome. Comes with a rubber strap band too. Very easy to use and very bright. Charges by usb or uses 3 AAA. It comes with the usb rechargeable battery tho.
