Slow down your cat's eating

This special dish was recommended to me because one of my cat's, the male, is an aggressive wet food eater and was quickly eating all his portion and then hitting up the female's portion. This works like a charm to help the cat slow down or they will miss getting delicious wet food that is intentionally caught between the silicon "fingers".

Short Lasting

My cat ate through the bristles within a couple of weeks. I would be more understanding if my cat was a power chewer, but she is a 6lb kitten with no real force behind her bites. However, within the couple of weeks it served its purpose, it was easy to clean. Sad it didn’t last long!

Cat likes it

My cat likes it but she was afraid of it at first. First; this product is VERY sturdy and durable. It's almost like they made it for a dog. Its made out of similar material to dog chew toys. Its heavy so it wont flip over easily, but your cat can still do it. Its not easy to clean but also not difficult. I use an old toothbrush to get between the little nub things. Overall, I'd go with a lick-mat over this if you want it to be easier, but if you want to challenge your pet a little; this is perfect. Its much better for hunter-feeding compared to a lick mat, and its harder to eat out of it compared to lick mats.

Was hoping for more durability

This started out great. Really slowed my cat down from eating too fast. But after about a month I noticed dark spots forming in-between the grooves. I always cleaned it after every use so I am not sure where the spots came from. I was concerned it may be a form of mold so I tried soaking it in hot water and still nothing. More kept appearing. I discontinued using it and tossed it in the trash.

Very good slow feeder, just a little small.

I do like the feeder. It seems to be helping my cat slow down at feeding time. However, it is much smaller than I thought. A single heaping teaspoon of wet food will completely fill this to overflowing. My cat tends to eat the food on top, and then come back later to try to get the food that's down in the nubs. I think this would be really good for a kitten, but maybe not quite for a larger cat. It does have a pretty good weight to it so the the cat doesn't move it around. I just wish it was bigger. My fault for not reading the specs closer. It does do well for what it was made for.

Didn’t work for me

Aside from being really small, the bottom is curved so it rocked when my cat tried to eat from it. Maybe you’re supposed to let your cat chase the bowl around as it moves and he tries to eat. I guess it’s supposed to mimic prey trying to get away, but it just doesn’t work for my cat.

Makes Everyone Take Their Time

This gets four stars because it’s doing something nothing else ever has: gotten my cat to leave food behind! If you’ve got a fat cat who eats fast and indiscriminately, these are fantastic. But be warned: although these claim to be dishwasher safe, higher temps WILL score/dent the edges and it takes a lot of manual scrubbing to clean between the teeth. It’s worth it if you don’t mind a little extra cleaning after meals.

Small, but durable

It is definitely easy to clean and durable, but it’s small! I feed my diabetic cat one 3 oz can of wet food at each meal and it overflows from the container. If it was a little bigger I think it would be better. At least I can’t break it like my cute ceramic ones!

Great for indoor cats

I brought two of these for my indoor cats who are on raw food. It’s nice to be able to find something suitable for raw/ wet food as most interactive feeders are directed to dry food. They are very small so don’t hold much food, ideal for feeding little and often and hiding around the house. My cats seemed more satisfied after breakfast this morning, I think because it took them longer to eat rather than 10 seconds it normally takes them off a saucer.

Pieces breaking off after two weeks

Unfortunately poor quality and far too small for my 6 month old kitten. The little bits inside bowl also breaking off and it’s I really rubbish quality. Not impressed at all. Only had it few weeks and it’s been a complete waste of money.

Too small for one whole meal

I am not very impressed with this product. The size in the picture with the cat is actually very accurate but when I put it down for my cat, I can tell it is too small. The food goes everywhere. It also wobbles as she eats as it doesn't sit flat on the floor which doesn't help. This might be ok for a kitten because they have smaller heads and may not move the bowl so much but my mature cat has found no benefit.

Suitable for kittens only!

Unless you are purchasing this item for a kitten please don't waste your money. This is not suitable for a cat! My cat has always been greedy as I took her in from a kitten. I purchased this because I was sick of her rushing her food then vomiting later. The portion size of this item is far too small for an adult cat.

Slower feeding

I purchased this to help my elderly cat not vomit food due to eating too quickly. No problems since purchasing. He can enjoy his raw rabbit again ☺️
