Not Bad, But One Minor Problem
This unit is a nice, easy-to-use countdown timer. The four independent timers are very handy. The only drawback is that the unit has a bad switch-bounce problem. When trying to set the countdown time, it will frequently increment by multiple counts when you only wanted one (pressing the hour, minute, or second button may cause the unit to skip over numbers: 1, 2, 5, 6). This is more of an annoyance than a major problem. If you don't mind having to use multiple attempts to set the countdown time, then I can recommend this timer.

Too Quiet!
I purchased this timer because it looks just like the Fisherbrand timer I use in a laboratory and I love that one. This timer has excellent functionality (4 timers, counts up once timer goes off, saves last timer setting, etc) but it is VERY QUIET. I have missed it's beeping many times. Not when I'm standing next to the timer 5 minutes after I set it but if I leave the kitchen without the timer in hand, I rarely hear it. My last timer was much louder - I could even hear it from outside. I tried replacing the battery and it didn't help. I usually set the T4 timer because at least then I have 4x as many beeps to hear! Another defect that is annoying (but doesn't ruin my food) is that when setting the timer in the minutes mode, it often skips a minute. For example, if you hold the button down, the minutes add by one until you let go. If you let go and then still need to add 3 minutes, the next 3 times you press the button, the timer sometimes adds 2 minutes with one press. These 2 flaws leave me feeling like I paid too much for this expensive timer. Overall, it is a nice timer and if you only need to use it while you are close by and NOT listening to music, it's a good timer, but a little pricey.

Mixed feeling
When I got it new, it was working fine. For some reason, the start/stop button got jammed a few months after purchase and the whole unit ceased to function. I think it depends on the end-user. My environment is a shop floor, not a "lab". As such I do not like to blame the product but i really wished the unit to be a bit sturdier.

Good for a couple years
I had the same design of timer sold by Fisher Scientific, and it's over 20 years old and still working. This timer, despite looking like identical manufacture, only lasted me 1.5 years, and has been decaying the whole time. First, the clip on the back released its metal piece, so it wouldn't stand up. Second, the magnet fell off, which I repaired with Gorilla Glue. Third, the battery cover got stripped, now fits loosely, making the battery prone to lose contact. Fourth, some odd internal switch has gone bad, now if I squeeze the housing, it shorts and blanks everything, including resetting all timers, and the clock to midnight. It took less than 2 years for these things to all break, which is unacceptable. I'm leaving the review at 2 stars, for the short years of good service. There is good. This is the perfect design of timer. - All 4 channels work independently. - If you press 'Start' again after the timer goes off, it goes back to whatever time you had previously set. - It is accurate. - Each channel can count up or down. - The beep volume is suited to kitchen use. These features keep my review at 2 stars. But now it's trash. There is not a snowball's chance in Florida that this poorly constructed fiasco is worth $30 BTW, the old Fisher one, 20 years old with a broken clip and worn out plastic, still works better than the one I bought last year with the Sper name on it.

Died after 66 days
The new Sper Scientific timer was delivered to me on Oct 30, 2019 and it stopped working on Jan 4, 2020, 66 days. While it was working, it was very nice, but, of course, a non-working timer is not useful. Do not know if the battery died or there is something wrong with the mechanism of timer itself. Amazon was very nice to me. Although the allowed time to return it had expired, they graciously returned my money although I was not able to return it to them since I was out of the country. Really good for Amazon! I want to update my review that I wrote earlier in which I gave 1 star. Such a change. Called Sper Scientific, talked to customer support, and they are going to send me a new timer without charge. Can't beat this kind of customer support and service.

Flimsy battery cover, breaks easily.
Original rating was 5 stars. After a year of working exactly as expected, it was time to change the batteries. The battery chamber cover’s clips which hold the cover in place over the batteries snapped as soon as I opened it. They’re two very small, brittle plastic lips. When this happens to your timer, I recommend using a large size binder clip to keep it in place. Tape won’t work very well. Anyhow, it still operates well enough and keeps accurate time a year on, so I’m still rating as 3 stars.

Door to battery
The timer is great! ...but the plastic door that keeps the battery in is junk. It broke the first time I opened it. :( I taped it on. I guess it's ok. Be very gentle when using that door.

Great for the kitchen
I love the multiple timers in one.. it's very helpful in the kitchen. It has worked great so far (3 months). 4 stars because the magnet on the back is horrible. I tried to pull it off so I could stick another one in there, but it was glued in tight and I was afraid to break it should I try any harder. So I just superglued a new magnet to the back, which sticks out a bit but is much better than it falling off every time I push a button. It also has a fairly loud beep, which is nice if you're a few rooms away, but is generally rather annoying.

Excelente producto
¡Excelente producto!

I had two like this but 2 channel
I had two like this but 2 channel, purchased at Radio Shak at least 10 years ago. They lasted about 10 years. There seems to be a few manufacturers and several distributors. I have seen them for $91 USD. This one has a 5 year warranty but I expect it to last longer. Indispensable.
