EXACTLY what I was looking for as a practice tool for drumming
I bought this timer to use while practicing exercises on my drum pad. I do each exercise for 3min. Sure, there are "apps for that". But, utilizing my phone was too cumbersome. Besides being incredibly simple to use if you are using it to count down it automatically returns to the value you'd set. In other words it always returns to 3min. for me and I'm immediately ready to move to the next exercise. It was also pretty easy to rig up something that I just taped to my practice pad and then clipped the timer onto it. The clip also has a magnet which I'm sure will come in handy at some point.

I LOVE THIS TIMER
I LOVE THIS TIMER!!! It helps me stay on task in the kitchen as well as when I do my speed cleaning elsewhere in the house as my kids us the larger more visual timer. I like the fact that it may be sat on the counter or you can have it on any surface that a magnet can stick to. It is very easy to set. I wish I could have caught the timer with multiple settings, but this one works just great. you will not regret it. I must also say that it's pretty durable. My kids have dropped it a couple of times and it still works. Im sure the life has diminished some, but so far...its is running like a champ. Nice clear alarm, no confusion as to what that noise is!

Easy for my 7 year old to use
Project is easy for my 7 year old to use for virtual school breaks and timings reading exercises. Would give product 5 stars if able to turn the unit off. The unit stays on indefinitely unless you remove batteries.

Best I've found thus far...
These are my favorites to use in the classroom. In fact, I purchased one for home. I like the color-coded buttons, various easy to access features of counting up OR down. As long as the time gets used up, it goes back to the countdown time you set it for. Thus, I can set it for 10 minute blocks of time over and over again. My only complaint is that it is not very resistant as far as being dropped. With the first drop, one of my timers lost its back "stand" and the timer's inside number plate dislodged.

Great little timer
Great little timer. I bought 3 of these for my 3 kids. They use them for their independent reading time, so I can tell them to "go read for 30 minutes". They set the timer themselves and know when it goes off they can be done reading, so I don't have to keep track of the time myself. They also have fun doing exercises using the timers - like seeing how long it takes to do 20 sit-ups, or just leave it running and see how long they can run in place before they wear out. Lots of uses for these and easy to use so the kids can set them on their own.

fantastic timer
This is the second one of this timer I got. I love the different colors for ease of operation. I have even dropped this timer on the kitchen floor and it didn't break.

Sturdy, easy to use and does what it's designed to do
I bought this for my 7 and 3 year old girls to use when I need them to do something within a certain time-frame, eg brushing their teeth. I set the time and they take it with them. It can stand on it's own or be attached via a clip or a magnet. It can also be used like a stop-watch which comes in handy. The timer is sturdy enough to survive use by my (very) rough toddler which is no mean feat. A great buy

Very simple
Nice small stopper. One thing that is missing for us is no option to turn it off so without taking the battery out there is no option to just switch it off

Very easy to handle and operate
Delightful little gadget. Very easy to handle and operate. I keep it on the fridge door (magnet on back) for cooking etc. However it can be used anywhere in the home or office - anywhere. The best feature is that it counts both UP and DOWN - good for homework, timing phone calls etc. The bell is loud, but not too loud. Much, much better investment than the little wind up timers which are so unreliable. Great find! UPDATE: I bought another timer early October 2016. However this one was faulty - the alarm is barely audible. There are obviously some quality control issues here. And it cost another £2!!
