heavy duty use in my bakery.....you don't forget something in the oven with this timer! finally bought myself one for home use....with aging it is the perfect alarm clock/timer..... well worth the price.

Simple controls. Loud. Display Not Water Resistant
The media could not be loaded. Update December 2020 - I bought a second one as my display was broke. It is the same as the old one EXCEPT the alarm is NOT as loud. I can hear the old one beep if I"m at the other end of the house, with the door shut and the TV on. I cannot hear the new on in this situation unless the TV is off. Instead of improving the product by making the display water-proof, they chose a cheaper alarm. On the plus side, the C Batteries were included. Sturdy and large. There is a button for HR, MIN and SEC. If you want to time something for 3 minutes, you hit the MIN Button three times. If you want to time something for 45 minutes, you can hold the MIN Button down and it will go through the numbers so you don't have to press the button 45 times. While the timer is counting down, if you wish to add time, you must first stop it with the red button on the top, then add the additional time. Retart the countdown again with the red button. The timer beep is definitely loud enough so that I can hear it throughout my 1600 sqft home and through a shut solid wood door. I can even hear it outside if I'm close to the kitchen window where I've placed it. 2016 UPDATE: I have had the Cooper-Atkins Timer sitting in my kitchen window sill for over 3 years and it has ran the whole time on just 1 set of 4 'C' batteries. Having the button on top to turn it off is handy when your hands are full. You can adjust the volume all the way down to off and just rely on the flashing red light if you choose. Also, the counter continues past zero, which can come in handy in some instances. For example, if you are not sure when the time first went off, it shows you how long it's been. Or, if what I'm cooking is not quite done and needs a couple more minutes, I'll turn off the annoying noise and let the timer continue. I use it most for cooking duties. Sometimes I need more than one time, and I bought a smaller timer made by the same company. (See attached video and photo to see size difference and hear the alarms.) Anytime I don't want to forget something, I just set this timer. such as reminding me to turn off the stove top if I'm drying a cast iron skillet. I used the hour button throughout the summer to remind me to move my water sprinkler in the yard. You can adjust the volume to be very soft or even off. I just keep mine on high all the time so I don't have to worry about it. It is a high pitched beep-beep, beep-beep. CAUTION! ITEM IS NOT WATER RESISTANT. I dripped a little water on it from my wet hand when I reached for it and it destroyed the top half of the LCD display after it was out of warranty. I decided this was not annoying enough to pay $75 to replace. However it is now half off (Dec 2020) so I'm buying a replacement. The warranty is two-years and it is made in China.

Bought this for my wife (she loves it)
My wife loves this timer! Our microwave just beeped 2x when time was up, so I googled the best one to get, and poof here it is! Runs only on 3 C batteries! No AC plug can be used. Makes it easy to place anywhere!! Start/ stop button is easy to push and red LED flashes when time is up! Now for the bonus! It keeps time rolling until you stop it. So you know if 30 seconds or minutes went by before stopping it! A MUST for any cook/ baker!!

At my age this timer helps me keep on track with things
I have several of these and use them to keep track of taking meds, making calls or any other thing I need to do at certain times. At my age, I get busy and side tracked but this little timer keeps me in line????.

Why only 4 stars? Well, it does what I wanted it to do... replace the too quiet timer buzzer that came with the new stove my wife bought... When turned all the way up I can hear this buzzer all the way in the back unless I have something loud playing on the computer. So why only 4 stars? Since the price seemed so high I would have expected this: * Buzzer could be a little louder even * When setting the timer, you can hold in the buttons to advance minutes and seconds automatically without having to press the button repeatedly... HOWEVER... it takes (it seems) 2 or 3 seconds of holding the button down before the auto increment kicks in.... as I said... for the money, this seems a little inconvenient. But it fits perfectly on the back edge of the stove and I like the BIG size of it and its ease of use with the BIG red button on the top. AND .... for the price and because it appears to be a "professional" type produce, I am expecting it to last for years and years. Would I buy again..... so far... YES.

Large and In Charge
This is not a dainty timer ... lol. It's large. But, with that said, it's also really good. Rugged and reliable. Alarm is both audible and visual. Volume is adjustable from no sound at all to very loud. Also has flashing light for visual reference. Timer counts down to zero and then begins to count upward to show the time elapsed since alarm went off. Very handy!

LOVE IT must have for any kitchen or dangereous tasks you should not forget about.
So easy to use, love the memory feature for a quick reset, love volume control, love how it counts how long timer has been going off for. Only thing is it is VERY large and would think display be larger due to that. But is a must have for any dangerous task such as stove, oven, or things that can cause a fire or should not be forgotten. If the phone rings, just turn everything off or hit the minute button a few times and the start button to ensure you stay on track. Impressive volume when set on LOUD, and alarm will not stop sounding until you address it or I guess until batteries die.
