Outstanding
Exactly as described and true Brooks quality. Bought for dad who is 72 and rides 50 plus miles a week. He is 5'11", 215 lbs.

Best money spent on your bike.
I'm 6' tall, 250'ish lbs, riding a Fuji touring bike. The stock Fuji seat is what I've been using for years - a fancy foam seat with a split down the center for your parts. After riding for 20 miles or so, that seat got to be very uncomfortable no matter what I wore. Things would bunch up and start chafing and it would be fairly unpleasant. Once I put the new Brooks Saddle on, everything changed. First, let me reiterate what other people have said about this seat - it is not something you just toss on there and instantly life is perfect. My stock seat post was not tilt adjustable so I bought a new Thompson seat post. It works perfectly, allowing me to make very minute adjustments to the tilt and seat positioning. I made the mistake of popping the new seat on and going for a 16 mile ride. It was quite comfortable compared to my old seat - then I could barely walk, let alone ride, for three days. Turns out I had it positioned just a bit too high and was unconsciously sliding side to side a little bit each time I turned the crank. After lowering the seat I found I kept sliding forward and fighting to keep myself in the proper position - small readjustments in the tilt fixed that. I'm pretty sure at this point I have it all dialed in where it needs to be but I still bring my wrench along just in case I want to make a little tweak. So, was it worth it? Every penny and more. It's not broken in yet but it's already WAY more comfortable than my stock seat. I've also found it's made me faster - I'm seated properly now and can feel when something is not right. Instead of a foam seat squishing out of the way to compensate for poor riding position my seat now helps me keep in line. When everything lines up and you get it right, it is a very very nice thing. If you are reading this then you are already contemplating a new seat. This one is worth the money and worth the effort getting it positioned properly. Bring your allen wrench when you get it installed, keep your first several rides somewhat shorter until you get yours right, and you will be happy with this purchase.

Deceptively comfortable.
I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger and buying this saddle. I am very happy I did so. I've probably clocked about 200 miles at this point and it is very comfortable. Honestly it was comfortable from the first ride. I don't get any inner thigh chafing like I did with my previous saddle. I did a 100km ride the other day and it was wonderful. A quick YouTube search and an Allen wrench and you can install it yourself very easily.

Feels like butter!
I've been riding a different brand men's saddle for the past 15 years. After getting a tune up at a new shop and chatting about my discomfort, it was suggested that I give this saddle a try. I'm telling you that out of the box, this sucker felt like it was meant for my bum. I have zero regrets about spending so much for something I'll hopefully use for life!

Careful when choosing as they are women's models
I purchased this seat for my Brompton and did not realize it was a women's saddle. Ok now be careful which one you order on Amazon because even though it does say standard certain ones are women's specific. All that aside my wife absolutely loves this thing. She has gone through 5 saddles before I gave her this one as it showed up as women's, and no kidding she is actually riding her bike again. She would always complain after having children that the bike seats hurt her in those spots. Well no more, the Brooks is conforming to her nicely and she says it is becoming more comfortable somehow. So the negative would be these are such good saddles it makes you want to buy more of them to put in all your bikes.

Classic
Added to my ebike for a speaker look. A little hard, but so classic. Can’t wait for it to look worn and aged.

Fortunately, I had one that could accommodate the wide ...
I still have to break it in, but the greater width gives you more support surface, reducing the smaller point of contact on many saddles. On thing to watch out for is that some saddle bags that attach to the rear frame may not fit this saddle. Fortunately, I had one that could accommodate the wide gap in the rails at the rear, but another saddle bag (my current one on the old seat) has an attachment bar that doesn't span the rails.

The best touring saddle - for women
My last B17, which came with a new bike in 1988, finally gave up the ghost after many thousands of comfortable miles when the rivets popped and the leather split. Only another B17 can replace it. Sadly, I discovered that this is a short ladies saddle, hence the B17S. Narrower and 5cm shorter than my old saddle. If you’re an average height male, this is not for you. My comments about the quality stand.

Some Designs simply cannot be improved
In 1974 I was given a bicycle with a Brooks B17 saddle. Since then I must have cycled more than 250,000 miles on a succesion of bikes, but all with the original Brooks B17 (eventually) after trying more than 10 other saddle types, ranging in cost from over £100 down to about £20. Other saddles are fine for short rides or if you have very expensive padded shorts (although even then only for up to about 3-4 hours) Only the B17 stays comfortable, whether you are riding for 6, 7, or even 15 hours. My original 40-plus year old B17 is still not at the end of it's days, but the adjuster has now reached the end of it's travel and I had to take the plunge for a new one sometime. If you are any kind of serious cyclist, or just want to forget about your rear-end and concentrate on enjoying the ride, this is a joy to own, an investment, and exquisitely made... It probably weighs a fair bit more than the lightweight plastic and titanium creations you see on the all-carbon bikes that are common these days, but a few ounces has well under a single percent effect on climbing ability or endurance compared to the tremendous difference that 'forget your rear' comfort can make four or five hours into a long ride.

Great saddle
Lovely saddle, looks great and comfortable as a cyclist that often rides four times a day, no complaints

Classic Brooks wins
Couldn't resist a beautiful brooks for my new bike. Not 'worn in' yet so not the most comfortable but an enjoyable ride on the less and an absolute beauty! Can't beat a Brooks. And I like the ladies sizing
