It's got carbon rails
Be aware that this saddle has carbon rails and they are thicker than an alloy rail. I had to get a longer adjustment bolt for my seat post clamp to accommodate the rails. I bought this saddle because I have an older Arione I've ridden on for many years and love it. This version is made for the "snake" (high level of pelvic flexibility; you can bend over and palm the floor without bending your knees). It doesn't have much padding and the perineum cut-out is a separate piece of plastic that joins the two wings (in the older model there is no change in material; there is simply a depression in the center of the saddle to accommodate the perineum) and I have no idea how these three separate pieces will hold up over time. I've only got around 300 miles on this saddle so far. It has taken some getting used to and, as I said above, am uncertain of how the saddle will hold up in the long run. I have my doubts... UPDATE: I am now around 1400 miles into this saddle and it's holding up fine. No concerns whatsoever!

Great for upright comfort, not suitable for riding the drops or aero
I want to start by saying this saddle is very comfortable to sit on despite firm padding, probably due to the nice flex in the body. Some really good engineering has gone into this saddle. However, it does not work for me. The groove along the centre is quite narrow (~1.5 cm), as is the nose (~4 cm), which steeply rounded off towards the edges. That means if you're in a more aggressive position, much of your weight is placed on two thin strips at the edge of the central groove, which isn't wide enough to accomodate the perineum. For me, this meant it a bad saddle for pain and numbness in that area. If the nose was about 1 cm wider, groove another 0.5 cm wider, and nose padding much less rounded, I think this would be a good general use saddle for aggressive road riding. But it's not. So if you're mostly riding upright and moving around in the saddle a lot, this is probably a good option. If you like to mix it up by also spending time down in the drops or aerobars on flats for more than 20% of your ride, this is a probably not a good choice.

Nice, well made saddle… but not for me
My first impression and expectations were very high for this saddle. It appears to be well made, light weight and a good looking saddle. I really want this saddle to work, however after a closer look. The carbon rails didn’t have the quality look as I would expect from a Fizik saddle and the saddle material has very slick feel. After brief ride I realized this saddle wasn’t for me, and I returned it Please note all saddles are very personal and what might be right or wrong for me may not be for you!

Less than ½ year out of it, and it broke. Fizik stood behind product, replacement shipped from Italy
Well, I came to give a review on my experience with it, but I now see that there are other pictures of these snapping in half. As a saddle, I never felt completely comfortable on it, but it was fine for fast-paced short rides out to 45 miles. But it broke yesterday. OK, this is odd - normally Amazon has a little window where we can attach pictures, but I don't see that here. Does this saddle get such bad reviews that they stopped allowing images of our broken saddles? 29 April 2020 Edit: taken care of by Warrantee by Fizik. A replacement just arrived today

This saddle was a disappojntment.
This saddle is very hard. It is difficult to find a comfortable position. The saddle is easily damaged. Caught my shorts on the nose of the saddle and the foam separated from the saddle. I would not buy this saddle.

Great saddle BUT will ruin your shorts over time.
I have a love hate relationship with this saddle It's fits me so well, has a great shape to keep you right in the saddle well, but it will fray and wear out your shorts. The engineering is poor. The created a plastic molding around the back of the saddle, not sure why. It is sharp on the edges and over time it will rub on your shorts and wear a into them. All of my shorts are worn into the same area where the plastic edge is and your shorts overlap over them. If they just did without that, it would be a great saddle. So beware getting this saddle.

It's a kind of magic!
I have a Specialized Roubaix which came with a stock Toupe. It was a really painful for me to ride anything over 20 miles. I did my research and figure out that a Fizik Antares may be a good fit for me (I am a chameleon on Fizik's chart). When I received the saddle I was disappointed at first - it looked almost exact as the Toupe. But after I installed it and rode for 30 miles I changed my opinion! No pain at all! And no complaints since then! I really feel how well my saddle bones sit on my Antares! Very well made and a perfect fit! Thank you Fizik!

I rode one of my friends bike with this saddle and ordered this one that evening. This is the most comfortable saddle i have used on my road bike. Its also light weight but that's a bonus for me more than a requirment.

A comfortable saddle for long distance
Saddles are very personal; what works for one person may not work for another. My experience with this saddle has been very positive. It replaced an older Fzik saddle that had 12+ years of use. My ride profile is road bikes, rides of 6+ hours and a rider weight of 200#. Fizik makes a tool/app that helps you select the correct saddle. I used the tool, it recommended this saddle and I could not be happier.

Regular size uncomfortable
I bought this after doing a lot of research and read a lot of reviews, but unfortunately this saddle is still uncomfortable for me. I have tried multiple adjustments without any luck. I should have picked a bigger size.

Saddle Cracked In Less Than 3 Months
Like many other on here in the reviews my saddle has cracked after such a short time. I read the reviews mentioning it cracking but figured they must be overweight, mounting wrong etc.. Nope, just a very cheaply made saddle. When you first receive it you do immediately question the build quality as the plastic is sooo thin with very little reinforcement moulds. Buy something else, this isn't the one you want. Amazon has been great regarding return for a full refund.
