Great 1ft Cables 22AWG is Awesome

I purchased the 1ft cables for 1 reason, charge time, or voltage drop. In comparison to my 6 ft cable, my phone will charge in 1/2 to 1/3 the time, particularly when using a computer to charge the phone. When I use a wall, or car adapter it is not quite 1/3 charge time, more like 2/3 to 1/2 the charge time. Technical Details: With the 1 ft cable, the current has to travel 2 ft, 1 ft to the device, and 1 ft back + distance through the phone. With the larger than standard gauge wire, 22 AWG, it is 0.016 ohms per ft, if I am driving 2 Amps, that is a total voltage drop across the wire of 0.064 V, which means that with a 5 V supply, I am able to deliver 9.872 Watts to the device. On the other hand, for some other cables I own, they are 6 ft long, and 24 AWG, so a smaller wire diameter. If I were to run 2 amps across that wire, which has a total of 0.308 ohms of resistance, then I would have a 0.616 V drop, and see 4.384 V at the device, so 8.768 W. Likewise, the length with affect the inductance and capacitance of the cables. Since phones typically use pulses to charge them, in order to prevent over-charging, you encounter a wave more closely resembling a square wave. Since there is no such thing as a true square wave in real life, due to inductance and capacitance, you would see more of an exponential signal to a DC voltage, then an exponential drop off when the voltage is shut off. This too will become more exaggerated if the cable is longer, causing the signal to more resemble a sinusoidal signal. Since the increased resistance would actually cause the device to see less current as well, because the impedance would essentially slow the flow, the numbers in reality are different. It is sufficient to say that I have seen charge times of approximately 1/2 to 1/3 of what they were previously. As mentioned before, I noticed a significant difference when using a computer to charge the device, and not as significant of a difference when using a wall mounted power supply. The difference is likely due to the power supplies and their supply voltage, the wall supply may compensate for the voltage drop, or run at 0.25 V higher or so, I have not conducted tests on that yet.

These seem to disappear all the time in my household. Sometimes, when I do find one, I have to throw it out because it doesn't work anymore. But that night be due to the rough treatment my kids put them through. But they are good enough that I keep buying them... So I'm happy with them.

Updated. Seemed sturdy but one stopped working within two weeks.

I'm disappointed. These cords look very sturdy. I was using another brand, but after a few months I have to replace them as the cord breaks and the wires are exposed. So when I saw these, I really thought it was a great deal for a lot of cords and they looked sturdier. However, within two weeks, one of the six foot cords stopped working. I tried it in two devices (phone and tablet). It's like the connector to the phone is not connecting properly. If you hold it in exactly the right position, it will work. I didn't do anything that would bend it, so am not sure why. I'm using the other six foot one now, so we'll see. In theory, they seem great. For the price, I'm not going to return them. Just will see how long they last and not purchase again if more than one ends up with this problem. Update 3/23/17 I was amazed to find a response from the company. They said their cables have a lifetime warranty. I just got off the phone with Manny and he is sending me a replacement! Wow! The others have been working perfectly. So I am upgrading to five stars because they are making this right. UPDATE 6-18-17 After the third USB cord had the same problem last month, I bought cords from another company[3 Packs] iXCC 6 Feet Long Micro USB to USB 2.0 Cable, Super Durable A Male to Micro B Charge and Sync Cord for Android/Windows/MP3/Camera and other Device . To be fair, I didn't contact Sabrent again because I didn't want them to keep sending me a whole box every time a cord didn't work. I appreciate the excellent customer service, so am leaving this as three stars, but unfortunately, great customer service is not enough if the product doesn't work well.

Best Cable - Best Price

I have a iPhone 6s+ with a Mophie pack on it. Even before I put the Mophie pack on it, I bout several cables from eBay and other places, that either did not last long, 3 months, 4 ,months or I would get a message display that said: "This accessory may not be compatable with your device." It certainly wasn't, as it stopped charging the phone! I bought the Sabrent 6 pack cable set. They are built tough, they are also packaged in a nice secure box, and also have a small velcro tie with ea. cable, so what ever device your using, if the cable happens to be a little long, you can wrap it up. They are a 22 gauge wire instead of that flimsy stuff sold for more money. These are GREAT!!

Definitely not heavy duty

These cables are only lasting 1 or 2 days - I'm a delivery driver, so spend 3-4 hours each day using a cable to charge my phone from a power bank, while continuing to drive and make deliveries. The first cable I tried from the pack didn't work at all, the second worked for 2 days before refusing to charge the phone and the third barely made it a few hours before no longer charging the phone. These may be fine for connecting devices that are not moved around the home or office but are of no use to me.

Good build quality; could be easier to use

These cables are of good build quality and have a good feel: they feel robust and should last a long time. They are thicker than most. My only two annoyances are:- (1) They come packed in a small box, folded tightly. This means that they are permanently kinked and will never lay straight or flat. (2) Both sides of the standard USB-A plug are embossed with the same logo, making insertion into the socket a matter of trial and error (50% of the time it's upside down). This could easily be remedied by only embossing one side of the plug!

Just the right size for workbench use

I was getting really fed up with 1m cables strewn over my workbench when the USB port was just a few centimetres away. They always get tangled up with my meter leads too. The photos show how wonderfully it all comes together now, with no excess cable to get in the way. And, should I ever need more length, I can always revert to the 1m lengths. I haven't tested how much power is allowed through these cables as that was not the focus of my purchase. But my Arduino is powered no trouble as the photos show. The seen well made with a hook-and-loop cable tidy included for each cable. For six cables I think this is money well spent and my workbench is a lot tidier with a lot less frustration from me!

Very poor quality

Ordered 2 packs of these but really wish I didn't. All seemed fine for the first week or two but I held of reviewing after seeing others posts that they go faulty after a short period of time - and they do! Phones now telling me to connect a better or undamaged cable if I want to charge it properly, this is happening across multiple handsets. Wouldn't recommend at all, total tat and a waste of money! Another Amazon seller at the kidding!
