Sturdy bike rack
The bike rack is sturdy and extremely heavy. Not really a big issue, though you can get lighter racks from brands like Thule if you want to dish out $200+. Bikes are securely fastened by the Velcro straps. The only problem is that the bike rack wobbles slightly, which I am planning to fix by just shoving a piece of plastic into the receiver hitch. Another buyer mentioned pushing the hitch further in and drilling a new hole. That would reduce the wobble if you got the tools; which I don't. Or if you want to spend more money you can buy a better hitch lock/pin. The one that comes with the Pro Series bike rack is a basic pin. I haven't tried driving on a highway yet with the bike rack but I'll probably update on how that goes when the time comes. Update May 21, 2013: Finally drove on the highway with my bike going 70-80mph. Now it might be because of my bike frame being rectangular making it not held as securely by the straps, but going at speeds over 50mph made it look like my bike was going to fly off. I fixed this just by using a bungee cord and tying the bike frame to the hitch's frame. All in all, it's sturdy as hell.

Warning: Product does NOT have the tilt feature as described.
The description says: "Tilt feature allows easy trunk access and unloading of bikes" WRONG. The one I received does NOT have this tilt feature. My two bike carrier made by this same manufacturer did which is why when I needed a three bike carrier I ordered this one. The only cotter pin in mine is to allow me to change from 2" to a 1 1/4" trailer hitch opening. I did not contact the company who sold me this only because I needed to use it the very day it came since we were going on vacation. I didn't realize the tilt feature wasn't there until after I had already put the entire thing together. Too late to get a new one so decision was to either contact them and Not take our bikes on vacation or just deal with it. Luckily the bike hitch was far enough away from my trunk and I was still able to open my trunk so this is why I chose "It's Okay". Just be warned that their ad might say tilt feature but it doesn't have this ability. It ended up not being a problem for me but that might not be the same for everyone. First picture shows it's a three bike carrier and the second is a close up of the only cotter pin there which is for the swapping around of the hitch extension from 2" to 1 1/4". Also the pic on the page shows a red reflector, mine didn't have that and instead had a square where you could install one (but one did not come with it).

Too much play in the hitch
This is a heavy piece of equipment. The first order was undeliverable apparently due to the packaging not holding up (from what the Amazon sales rep told me). I had to reorder and I was credited for the shipping. Nice touch. If you purchase a 2" hitch, you will have to buy an adapter and this piece does not ofter fit snug. I had to shim the adapter with inner tube to prevent swaying with the rack attached. The rack is quite sturdy and you will need a locking pin if you want to make sure no one steals it while you are away riding. Keep in mind that if you have to buy an adapter, you will need a second locking pin or chain. Gave it a 4 because of the smaller hitch. UPdate now that I have had this for over a year. The inner tube shim eventually will fall off and the extreme play in the hitch receiver is a major issue. This play as noted by others, is substantial. I tried using a locking nut and bolt for the receiver adapter and the hitch, suffice it to say it adds more weight and more sway. Would love for them to provide some sort of shim for the rack.

Super heavy duty with slight wobble
I put one of these on my 2011 Chevy Cruze with its 1 1/4 inch hitch after my old trunk bike rack scratched paint on the lid. The trunk rack never fit property, probably because the Cruze has such a short deck. This rack eschews that problem becuase it fits into the trailer hitch. Be advised this rack only fits 1 1/4 inch hitches and won't work on a 2 inch hitch. And, if you don't already have a hitch on your car, you have to get one of those first. The one I bought cost $220 installed. You could conceivably do that yourself on a Cruze since the place I went to didn't weld it and was finished in 15 minutes. But we're talking about the bike rack here whose manufacturing is outstanding with excellent fit and finish. The thing is super heavy duty, weighing in at around 45 pounds, but it's easy to fit it into the rack. The bikes sit in fitted cradles with no metallic finish to scratch them. They are held on the rack by heavy velcro straps; I suppose these could wear out over time though they work great for me now. The steel is substantial and putting the rack together out of the box is easy; there are only three parts, six nuts and bolts, and a bolt to deal with. It fits fine in the hitch and has a little sway but nothing to worry about unless you are carrying a gorilla back there. I see no way it could ever make contact with the vehicle short of driving in a hurricane or tornado. One feature that drew me to this model, aside from the substance of construction, ease of use, the fact it fit my Cruze's hitch, and that great reflector on the back, was the offset shank that allows the bottom of the rack to ride a few inches higher than the point at which it contacts the hitch. The Chevy Cruze rides exceedingly low anyway so the hitch is low. This was a major consideration in my decision to buy this product, as was Amazon's free shipping.

Hole for hitch pin was threaded, had to drill it out!
This is a decent bike rack as long as you realize that you'll need to replace it every few years as the welds will eventually fail. The newest version which I just received, had a threaded hole for the smooth, non-threaded hitch pin. Of course this wouldn't allow the hitch pin to be inserted so I used a 1/2 titanium bit to drill out the threads. I was then able to insert the hitch pin and mount the rack on my automobile. Ridiculous.
