Fit Hard to Size Hyundai Santa Fe Factory Bars Well
The title says the majority of it, I drive a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe and it's often hard to find compatibility for the factory-installed crossbars on this vehicle. These will fit those bars, so don't worry about ordering them. Also, something that neither Thule nor any sellers make clear, while these use hand-spun on T-nuts to install to your crossbars, IF you also buy the optional lock cylinders they will not only lock the paddle or other pole to your car, but that DOES cause the bracket to also then be locked to your car so they couldn't be easily stolen. Without those Thule lock cylinders, anyone walking by could just spin the nuts off and walk away with not only your paddle but the bracket too. Just go ahead and order the locks too.

You need lock cores. You can use this as a ski rack
I bought this product with no intention of using it as an oar/paddle holder. Instead I planned on using it as a cheap shovel or axe mount to add a little bit of toughness to my then bare roof rack. BUT with a little experimentation I found it works perfect as a ski rack of sorts. The mounting system is easy and secure. The braided cord and rubber grip are very strong. The only thing I would change is to require the use of lock cores. The stock (lock-coreless) system lacks gripping strength after many uses, leaving the cord easily movable even when in the "lock" position. The usage of lock cores keeps the whole system set in place; including the outer mounting wing nuts via collapsible tabs, preventing them from unscrewing. Overall a very good design, but if it relies so heavily on having lock cores the price point should be a little less. With the get-a-grip and locks you're looking at a $100 setup for something advertised as $60

Great Rack Addition
I have been using this product to transport WW kayak paddles all summer, and it has worked (almost) flawlessly. Another reviewer mentioned the cable coating tearing off - I have not had this issue, however, I noticed some scuffing from putting it into/out of the cable holder (which is a really nice design, btw). I was worried that enough might scrape off to make the cable loose in the holder, so when I put it into, or take it out of, the holder I take up the slack a little so that I am clipping it onto a different part of the cable, then slide the cable down to the handle. (Sorry if that's confusing - it may not be once you seen how it works firsthand). Anyway, I subtract one star because I have had paddles come loose on one occasion. The happened while carrying 3 paddles. I made a triangle with the paddles/shafts, but they slipped and thus became loose in the carrier. Nothing was lost, but we did have to pull over. Since then, I've only carried two paddles at a time, and nothing has ever budged.

Does the job
This makes transporting one piece paddles easy if you have a small car. It will work with multiple paddles but I have only tried it with two. Very quick and secure attachment to my aerobars. The only reason I knocked off a start is because after about five uses the plastic covering on the cable is starting to tear. After securing the paddle there are two notches to put the loose cable in to keep it from flying around. I feel they could have sized the notch a little larger. I'm not sure if the cable is stainless but if it isn't it could cause problems down the road. I'll update if there is any rusting. Overall very satisfied and better than having my passenger sharing a seat with a paddle blade.

Good for fishing rods too
Work as it should. I used it for fishing rods. Kinda wish the cable is a little longer so it will be easier for the aero blade after you wrap around it

Works great
A little bit of a strange design with these pulls with a lot of extra slack that you then have to secure (If you don't they could scratch your car's roof). Nevertheless, it works great. I have a one-piece wooden Greenland kayak paddle and this holds it securely and without denting the soft wood of the paddle, so I don't have to have it going diagonal through my car's interior. It is always as I fastened it when I reach my destination. I got longer bolts so I could use it with my BMW's factory rack.

Excellent design very secure and solid
I have now used these mounts for several trips. Am excellent way to secure your paddles while traveling. I felt safe leaving them on the car when we went to eat for shopping. I generally too the paddles off the car overnight. I did purchase the Thule locks.
