Stops working after 6 months
Stops working after 6 months. Problem started several days ago. When turned on, water came out but not powerful enough. I have to wait for a bit, and it finally shoot out water powerfully enough to floss. Today, it stopped working completely. Update: I called the manufacture and they offered me an upgrade model for free. Change this to a four star for that. And for those who have the same issue, I find a trick to make it work temporarily. It seems that there were bubbles in the pipeline and this thing just can't handle it. If you suck on the nozzle and get the bubbles out, it will start to work again.

Not as powerful as a water pic, adequate though
Not as powerful as a water pic, if you can find a water pic that actually works. After returning two water pics with internal leaks, I decided to get the Phillips machine. It feels sturdier and more refined and, at maximum pressure it works just fine. The magnetic wand holder has to be in the exact right orientation to function properly, but it does look cleaner than the water pic. As for the number of stars, I wouldn't rate the water pic any higher.

Great except the power cord is too short
Love the dialed water pressure! Short cord doesn't work well for my bathroom.

Used for 4 months. Totally unusable now.
TERRIBLE product. Bought one and within 4 months it started leaking badly from the bottom and totally unusable. update: The seller offer to replace with a new upgraded one. So I changed the rating to 4 for their great customer service.

I be flossin'
I had a Waterpik. It was noisy. And then it died. I decided to try another brand. This is much quieter than the Waterpik. It seems to work as well. A couple of things I don't like: The positioning of the release for the tip. My finger seems to be drawn right to it and I accidentally release it all the time. And I wish the reservoir were a tad bigger. I go over my teeth twice and this doesn't make it without requiring a refill. I have one more negative that I'm not sure is a negative. So this device pauses as an indicator to move onto the next quadrant. That parts fine, but when I press the tip close to my gumline it is either doing the pause or cutting off the flow because it's too much. I haven't figure out which. I really don't pay attention to the pause so yeah. My last negative is the lid for the reservoir. I wish it was attached somehow. It just tension fits to the actual reservoir. If your aim isn't great, it'll end up in the water or whatever. If I had to make the choice again, I'd go with this one. Compared to the Waterpik, it just seems less clunky and better built.

Buy this one!
I have tried several different brands and like this one the best. Simple to operate, doesn't include a bunch of unnecessary tips, and the nozzle hasn't started falling apart. Plus it stays clean without the typical hard water sentiment build up. If it ever breaks I will get another one.????????????????????

Not as good as Waterpik
I own several Waterpik's and have for many years but saw this was on sale so thought I'd try it for another bathroom. I liked how it said quieter than Waterpik, and also how it said it shoots 4 streams of water. 1) It is quieter than Waterpik but barely. It sounds like the battery powered Waterpik's. You wouldn't be using it while someone is sleeping in the next room as it's still loud enough, like an electric toothbrush. 2) The 4 stream thing is a gimmick and is really just a + shape that directs the water into 4 jets. It doesn't even feel like any jet hitting your teeth, and after doing it, they didn't even feel clean. I then did it a second time using the single stream jet and it was way more powerful. Additionally, the tank runs out of water in about 10-15 seconds when using the 4 stream one so kind of pointless. I used the regular single stream one and even at level 10 it's not as powerful as Waterpik. Level 10 on my Waterpik is too strong and is almost painful, where level 10 on this I'd compare more to maybe level 7 or 8 on Waterpik. I don't think I will keep this and will exchange it for a Waterpik.

Floss likely still needed
I have been using this for about a week. For me, it will not replace flossing completely unfortunately. There have been a few times where I'd pass the floss after using this machine to check and found that some food particles still remained even though most times I've done 2 passes with the machine, the second time focusing in areas that I know are hard to clean. It is not easy to use: - the angles in which you have to place the wand are tricky which cancels the benefit of the innovative nozzle design. You'll get better are handling it over time perhaps. - water falls out of your mouth the entire time which can slide down your forearm and drip outside the sink - you constantly manage the tension exerted by the curled water tube. So now, my oral hygiene routine looks like this: water floss, actual floss check, tooth brush, then sometimes mouth wash. It's EXHAUSTING.

Quiet, but...
Having used a Water Pik for years, I wanted to replace it with a quieter flosser. This is much quieter. It's amazing how much quieter is it. There's, unfortunately, nothing else about the design that's better. It's lighter and has a smaller footprint, so it's not as stable on the counter. The reservoir doesn't connect as firmly and the cover just sits loosely on top. The wand is held by a magnet when not used. That seems like a good idea, except that the whole thing is hard to move on the counter with one hand without some piece falling apart. The Water Pik has a swivel for the wand tip so that you can easily change the direction. This does not. Without that, you have to twist the whole wand to change direction. It's too easy to push the wand release button by mistake. I'm keeping it because it's nice and quiet, but it's annoying to use.

Overrated with many design flaws and defects .... ?? :(
Pros - looks pretty - rubber tip is nice, though purple would not be my choice - magnet holder is great - power cable coming out of the unit does not hinder sitting flush with wall, can be directed out either left or right corners Cons - Power supply is built into the actual plug end, bulky and inconvenient - Power level feels useless to floss, even at max. My 10 year old handheld waterpik with a dying battery and my china brand rectangular portable li-ion feel like they clean about 10 and 30x better, respectively, with the rectangular flosser being even quieter than the philips. ( Not to say this unit is overly loud or anything, it just feels completely underpowered for the amount of sound emitted, and lackluster performance, in comparison. This could possibly be the nozzle design? - Reservoir does not empty completely because the 1) bottom of reservoir is flat, feed hole is not chamfered, which leaves about 20ml of water at all times. (but not where that 20ml needs to be. Read on :) it will literally pool up /around/ the drain - Auto shut-off features do not work properly. This is going to take some to explain: When the tank runs 'empty' (remember, 'empty' is with 20ml left), the pump continues to run. You have to physically shut the machine off with the button or it will continue to run, negating any usefulness of the auto shutoff / handle shut off. I am not referring to the ability for the handle to stop the flow of water when reservoir is full and in use, this button works properly. You can hear the pump running dry even though there is water in the tank. /0 If there is water in the tank (more than the 20ml left every time), then things work properly. Turn the control switch on the handle to the off position, and/or dock the handle, the pump will shut off and machine will go to sleep after a short while. As it is, when you dock the handle, it brings the handle's switch to the off position and will shut off the unit as intended, but If the reservoir is empty (again, 'empty' being 20ml remaining), the pump will run continuously. Did I explain this clear enough? hmm.. - Unit is too lightweight and doesn't like to stay in place. If you have to extend the hose coil any useful amount, the unit will just slide along the countertop. IMO the base needs to weighted another 50-100grams in order to overcome the hose coil tension. - No rotating nozzle. Didn't think this would irritate me as much as it does. It creates weird angles and an awkwardness that leads to water unnecessarily running down the handle/hose, dripping dirty mouth water over the counter. - its 65$ more if you want a hinge on the reservoir lid. Save it and buy an adhesive hinge for 50c that will work as effectively. IMO modes are useless as a flosser only needs an on/off mode, and variable pressure level I wish philips products worked as nicely as they look, as I do think they look very nice, but that they always seem to miss the mark of functionality. *shrug* Overall rating: Meh

2 of them started leaking within a few weeks of use. Totally unusable now. TERRIBLE product.
Bought one and within a few weeks it started leaking badly from the bottom. I figured I just got unlucky and got a bad one. It was still within the return time so amazon sent me a new one. 2 weeks later the 2nd one does the exact same thing...some gasket blows in the bottom of it and starts leaking all over the place, becomes completely unusable. Never dropped, or banged or even so much as scratched either of them. I've had a water pick for many many years...it was half the price and it's never given a single problem. Honestly I like the Philips one better (more water pressure and it's quieter) but what's the point when it doesn't even last a month??? One of them breaking could just be a random bad product. 2 of them breaking in the exact same way at around the same time frame...that's definitely a design flaw. Very disappointing especially considering the price.
