Idk what I was expecting here, but they are exactly what they say they are. Nothing more, and nothing less just some stainless pieces with a freezable liquid inside. There's nothing to put them in when you go to leave them in the freezer, I ended up throwing them in my ice deposit box and it works nicely. I just don't really see the point at the same price you could get the trays that make round ice cubes, which I would personally prefer. I do see the need for high end scotch to not have water in it diluting the taste, just not for me. They are quality pieces though very nicely made. The packaging is very nice and gift ready right from the vendor which is a nice touch. I would never use them on a regular basis enough to justify buying them, but if they will serve a purpose in your life then I fully suggest these as they are clearly high quality and will last for a long time to come.

Useful drink chillers, handy to chill any type of drink with no watering down, reuse every day

This pair of stainless steel reusable ice “cubes” are handy and you will find ways to use them once you own them. First, they keep your drink from watering down. They are easy to freeze and use, over and over, on a daily basis. They can be used for whiskey drinks, but work just as well in any cold drink, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The most surprising feature is that, unlike normal ice cubes, they sink to the bottom and do not float. No more annoying ice cubes at the top of your glass. They are stainless steel and do not give a metallic taste to your drink. They are solid so your drink feels heavier in your hand and clink at the bottom of your glass as you drink it. They are not actually cubic, more of a pyramid shape, another interesting feature that gives them a greater surface area and a larger cooling area. – Stainless steel, ice “cubes” that work like ice but don’t water down your drink – Easy to freeze, use, and reuse daily – No metallic taste, does not float, large surface area, can be used with all types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks

Perform ok..

These are awesome to have so your drink does not get diluted by water. This is more for the smaller drinker that pours like 1oz and sips slow not for the avid fill my glass and drink user.

Great for neat Bourbon and Scotch drinkers

These chillers came nicely packaged in a nice presentation box. The box is heavy duty paperboard and has a magnetic closure Inside you find the two chillers along with a storage bag. The chillers look to be well made and felt high quality. I placed them in my freezer for several hours and then added one to my favorite bourbon. Gives a nice chill without diluting your drink. A must for anyone who enjoys their spirits neat.

These are absolutely beautiful, and come in a giftable box with a magnetic closure. I personally don't mind when the ice melts in my drink, because I typically make mixed drinks, anyway. But, these are great for helping to keep flavors consistent and to minimize dilution. These are fairly large, and are about two-thirds the size of large ice cubes. Might want to use both, if one isn't keeping your drink chilled long enough. There's also a nice felt pouch to put these in for travel.

Good shape. Doesn't slosh around the glass.

These are great little (well not so little actually) whiskey / beverage chiller stones. At nearly 2" square at the bottom and over an inch tall they sit nicely at the bottom of the glass. And because of the shape and weight they don't slosh around the glass, minimizing the dreaded sudden "ice shift" that leaves liquid all over your front. No, these stay put until perhaps the very last drink or two. But a couple of times using them and I have had no unfortunate spillage incidents. Can't tell for sure, but they appear to be solid metal, so that gives it that much mass more internal mass (instead of just the surface) to hold and release cold (actually, re-absorb heat) over an extended time. The listing says they are dishwasher safe, and I may try that at some point. But it's just as easy, and much quicker, to clean them by hand. The pair of stones comes with a nifty drawstring velour-type bag to hold them in. Just the thing to keep them contained and protected from any escaping sludge in the freezer. Nice item.

Great solution to keeping your drink cold without watering it down

I've tried a couple of different products like this. I like bourbon, but I like it chilled a little. Ice waters down a good bourbon which is a problem, so this product is a great solution. These chillers are effective at cooling down the drink. If you are looking to make something ice cold, they will fall short of your expectations. But if you want to make your drink just several degrees cooler than room temperature, they will do the trick. The resulting temperature to me is perfect. They are heavy so you need to be careful that you don't tip your glass all the way back or they will hit your lip. Recommend the product.
