A very nice set
These metal dice work great as non-diluting ice cubes and hold their temperature for a decent amount of time. They come in a nice magnetic closure gift box and include a small bag for holding them or carrying them around, though I doubt anyone would be carrying them to their next stop as they would not be cold. They look great (except the 1-pip is ridiculously huge) and offer a cool image clinking inside a whiskey glass. If anyone would want to use these for actual dice I don't believe they would be a good fit as they are somewhat large and heavy for that purpose and likely to scratch or ding a table on a toss.

Good Whiskey Stones
I am no whiskey/scotch drinker but I do like undiluted beverages, and I have used "stones" like these to accomplish that end goal. These are more of a novelty spin on an old idea, though they work well. This is a set of 4 whiskey stones, designed to look like metal dice. They're bigger than any other stone set I have seen and used which is not a bad thing but an observation. The full set of four, if you use all of them, does take up some real estate in the glass. These have some kind of liquid center which you can hear when you shake them while they're not frozen. After setting them in the freezer for a while that sound stops as the center solidifies. Looking these over there are no obvious seams so there's not really a possibility that these will leak. How do they work? Just fine. They seem to be about as effective as any other set of whiskey stones I have tried. I have not allowed these to sit at length to see how long they stay cold, but they last at least as long as a drink. This is a nice set of whiskey stones and they seem to work well. They're larger than average so keep that in mind, but they definitely hold the cold and are effective at chilling a drink quickly.

Keeps drinks nice and cool
If you want your drink to not be diluted by ice, this could be your solution. I have tested this in both rocks and double rocks glasses, and chilled these s/s "dice" in both my refrigerator freezer and chest freezer. They work better (for me) when kept in the chest freezer. While they do not keep a drink as cold as a hard clear-ice cube or ball, they do chill your favorite beverage and keep it cool. The bug plus is that last sip is as strong and flavorful as the first. Easy to clean, since they are all s/s, just rinse well, dry and return to freezer for the next use. The Outset Stainless Steel Dice Whiskey Chillers are well made, with a nice, smooth finish. Pck of 4 is convenient, 1 in a smaller glass, need 2 for a double rocks glass.

Great for Soda
These steel ice chillers are amazing! I don't know why I never tried them before. I love an icy cold drink but I REALLY hate when my soda gets watered down. These worked perfectly!!! Now we argue over who gets to use them... We need another set... or two.

Beautiful Gift with Lasting Pleasure
You do not have to drink scotch to like thees Dice Ice Chiller they would look great in a glass of you favorite soft drink like Pepsi! The stainless steel really shins out in a drink and they hold their temperature well.They will freeze up in about one hour. I like the accompany velvet satchel that one could store the four dice chiller in if you did not want to keep the box. The dice them self are a nice size so you could use one in every glass provide your drink is not to warm. This would be a very nice gift that is unique and well appreciated and remember time and time again :)

Nice well made chillers
These chilling dice are 1" x 1" x 1" making for a total of 6 square inches of chilling surface. They each weigh about one tenth of a pound or 47 grams including about 11 grams of liquid inside. (One of my dice was empty and it weighed 36 grams.) After a night in the freezer, I put one of the dice in a glass containing just over 3 ounces of 70 degree tap water. After 10 minutes, the water measured 45.1 degrees warming up to 62.6 after 40 minutes. A 2nd 'free standing' die sitting in a thin plastic container measured 40.4 degrees after 40 minutes. Conclusion? I think these things are pretty decent. Despite one of my dice being empty, I don't see any way that the inside liquid could leak out. I'm chalking that one die up as a manufacturing issue.

Awesome
Love using these with my boyfriend as we taste new whiskeys. They come with a cute little bag to store in the freezer and we've already gotten compliments on how fun they are!
