Beautiful Bell. Compact, stylish. Minor acceptable flaws. Great option for 31.8mm OS

One of the few bicycle bells that fit OS 31.8mm bars with bar tape and cables (see picture). I previously bought a Crane bell, which was also beautiful, but it broke after 2 weeks (the spring). This one, equally nice and more expensive. Unlike the Crane bell that's made in Osaka, Japan, this one is made in China for those who care about manufacturing origins. The bell is well made to high quality standards. Installation is easy, comes with an Allen wrench if you don't have a set, and an additional rubber strip if needed for slippage or smaller diameters. The mechanism is super easy to use and the ding from this brass version is long. Not the loudest bell, but loud enough and long enough for you to catch people's attention in the urban jungle. The brass does dent under the impact site, so over time it will wear, how bad, we'll see. The bell once tightened does not rotate or slip or anything. I can combo multi-ding at-will at-everything and anything since the return spring is immediate after making contact. I would definitely buy again despite the few criticisms I have, but they're all acceptable to me.

Best bike bell we've ever found...

I was gifted this bell years ago and liked it so much that I bought one for my wife's bike. Easy to install, not obnoxious in sound and the pitch and tone is perfect when gently notifying other riders or walkers on the trail. Quality workmanship and looks great on the bike.

Look elsewhere

I’m replacing a Crane brass bell I’ve used for years, but decided to try one of these. This bell has inconsistent volume and at its best is not nearly as loud. When tightening up the hex screw it rounded - I’ve requested a replacement screw … I’ll keep it, but I’m disappointed.

It's OK

I bought this for my son's road bike because I have an OI, this one was gold (his favorite color), would fit in a compact handlebar, and wasn't too loud. I like the original Oi bell I have... and this is the fancier one, that cost 30% more. The ring sound is nice but not great. It's a little between notes.. so not as pleasing as mine. Every time you click the bell, it makes a little dent in the bell. Is that part of the retro charm? It's difficult to install because the tightening screw falls out easily and is short. Everything about this bell is just a little 'off'... It's one of the most expensive bells on the market... and maybe my expectations were a little 'off' as well... but it's kind of a 'just ok' sounding bell that was difficult to mount and I don't expect it to last all that long. If you've got to have this for that perfect retro look or are really into the hipster image, this is worth it. For people who want good quality for their money, look elsewhere.. and possibly buy a bell locally, with your bike there to check out how it'll fit and operate. Sigh...

Hard to install

The media could not be loaded. That tiny screw barely reaches for a secure fit which made it hard to install. The sound is long and clear though, but it doesn't sit properly on my bars due to where the cables are positioned. Also, it comes with adhesive rubber instead of a plain piece of rubber like I'm used to getting with handlebar accessories. Overall performs well but has some design flaws. Buy at own risk

Good sound, a bit difficult to install

Wish they used a captive screw for the install. The open hinge and loose screw can be tricky without a stable bike stand.

Nice sounding bell.

The bell was missing the only screw it had to attach it to the bike. Apparently Amazon had it as a returned item and didn’t verify it had all the parts. It would have been too much hassle to return for another one. I ended up contacting the manufacturer and they gave me the dimensions. I got a screw from the local hardware store.

Great product, just too small even the large one

I have a standard Trek road bike and sadly the item is too small to work on any part other than the handle bars, but, then the cables constrict the bell and it won't ring. Love it, but returned it.

Ooooh nice

Nice piercing ping the notifies most walkers of my presents behind them, even over the noise of chunky mtb tyres which sound like angry bees. Horses will hear the bell long before the riders. May not work on zombies buried in their phones. Easy to fit and comes with adapters to accommodate different size bars.

Tolle Optik, super verarbeitet, aber leider nicht wirklich universal nutzbar

Die Knog Oi Fahrradklingel schaut wirklich super aus und das Klingel-Geräusch ist klasse und wertig, aber leider gab es doch für mich ein paar kleinere Mängel, weshalb ich die Klingel nicht montiert habe: - Nur der obere Bereich ist aus Messing - der untere Bereich aus Edelstahl? - hier hätte man komplett Messing nutzen können um optisch noch besser zu passen. - Die Montage ist eigentlich relativ easy und die Klingel kann geöffnet werden und so auf den Griff aufgesteckt werden - nur leider passt es eben nicht von 23.8-31.8mm - so zumindest in meinem Fall (~25mm) will die Klingel nicht vernünftig sitzen. Ein paar mehr Distanzstreifen aus Gummi würden hier die Arbeit erleichtern. - Die Klingel ist relativ leise - der Klang zwar gut - aber man muss schon mehr spannen um hörbar zu sein Da die Montage dann doch etwas frickeliger war und nicht sofort passen wollte ist mir die Klingel auch noch auf den Boden gefallen - so kann ich es leider auch nicht zurückschicken. Ich muss mal schauen, ob ich noch modifiziere, da sie mir optisch wirklich super gefällt.

Davvero bello!!!

Questo campanello da bici è sicuramente originale e molto elegante, grazie all'abbinamento di materiali (la pelle che, una volta montato, avvolge il manubrio e l'alluminio satinato) e di colori (oro e argento). Inoltre è davvero ben realizzato, con una struttura minimal e accattivante. Il suono poi è intenso ma con una piacevole tonalità vintage. Davvero consigliatissimo!!!!

Il prodotto è migliore di quello descritto nelle foto di amazon

Con mio grande stupore (e piacere) mi è arrivato a casa il campanello nella versione aggiornata 2019. Se andate sul sito ufficiale Knog Oi Bell potrete notare che il supporto è stato modificato. Presumo per migliorarne il fissaggio sul manubrio. E' un oggetto che fa la sua figura su bici di un certo livello. Suona perfettamente e delicatamente. Non è adatto a chi preferisce le scampanellate prepotenti e ripetitive. Consiglio di fare molta attenzione a come sono posizionate le guaine dei comandi del manubrio, in quanto sulla mia bici sono stato costretto a posizionare la levette molto in basso per riuscire a fare passare i cavi dentro l'asola sul campanello.
