Well made. Exactly as pictured. Easy.

This gate is great. I had a 4' wide area to gate off and ordered accordingly. It is sturdy, even open that far. Didn't damage my paint or walls. Easy to use and store. Cats jumped it, but my dog was securely contained. I will likely use it off and on for as long as necessary. It will last!! Well made.

Exactly What I Needed

I worried that maybe this inexpensive pet gate might be difficult to adjust but it adjusts easily with no problems. It fits in my front door frame very nicely, with the rubber stoppers allowing the gate to fit snugly within the door frame. I use it to prevent my cats from getting any ideas about snagging the screen door with their claws, as I rent. This product is of a much higher quality than I expected and I'm glad I chose this gate over some of the more expensive options.

Difficult to use

It’s a gate!

It serves the purpose but it’s to tall to step over, comfortably anyway, so you end up having to move it out of your way constantly and it’s kinda rickety and cheap. The locking mechanism takes a second to figure out and even once you do it doesn’t like to stay in anyone particular spot and you have to keep realigning it. It’s annoying but works for a short time. Not good for a long term solution unless you don’t plan on ever moving it, then it’s awesome

Holds up to the dogs

With a constant pack of rescue dogs these gates hold up well and have a height that at 5'2" I can still, with care, stepover without removing the gate. This is a replacement of the same product that we have used for years. It held up great and the wire mesh is indestructible, LOL. Only wish that all of the hardware was metal, but I will say that only one of the guides broke through the years even with all of the abuse it endured. Great value.

Small pets only

Good temporary gate for a small cat or dog. Will not stop anything larger.

Does the job when in place, has some inconvenient features.

When in the door it is as sturdy as you could ask for. Putting it up can be awkward. The size is adjusted, as you can see in the product pictures, by dropping a pin on a bail into one of the grooves in the slider, then levering it down to expand the gate. Expanding it is fine, but to collapse it to remove it you have to lift the lever nearly vertical to pull back the adjustable half of the gate, and when you do the pin comes out of the groove and you have to reposition it when you want to use it. I solved it with a 4" by 1/2" wide strip of Gorilla tape to hold the pin down when I open the gate. When I am at the hardware store next I will buy some tiny screws and screw on a piece of plastic to replace the tape. Once that is done it will be fine.

Amazing! Just wish it were shorter

This is the third gate I’ve bought from Amazon to keep my new toy poodle puppy in the kitchen. It actually works! Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I wish it were shorter. I’m 5’9” and it’s a little difficult to climb over. I just set it up, so hopefully over time it gets easier.

Very difficult to use

Due to the unfinished wood used, the brackets do not slide and get stuck. This makes the gate impossible to put up with one hand, and difficult even with two hands. It's also loud, the metal mesh makes a great deal of noise when hit. This gatebwas expensive and not worth the price, in my opinion.

My Kitten jumped it in 2 minutes

It does hold well but if you are using for indoors it's not practical to move once it's installed - we had some construction in the house and I wanted to block off my kitten and she is a Russian Siberian and it didn't even phase her for height - for non jumping cats and dogs, it would work but it's not like it's convenient to open and close if you want to.

Good value

I got what I expected, but would love if it had a few more features. I am using a movable gate, because I have to move it quite often. Two things would make this product better. First a gate within it to save having to move it at all, but I understand this would price it out of the market, so I suggest a more sturdy/stable way to set the position whether opened or closed. It often feels like I need three hands to get it back in position, reset the position and then lock it down again.

Flimsy and hard to set up.

Flimsy and hard to set. Poor locking mechanism. The gate itself works. But as mentioned is really flimsy and hard to set up. I see myself pinching a finger eventually.

THis thing is practically useless.

The mechanics that are supposed to expand and lock this gate in place from pressure do not work at all. Our 10week old schnauzer that weighs only 6 pounds can knock this gate over be brushing up against it.
