Nice size colander for rinsing fruit, very cute strawberry shape & color, good/sturdy quality! Bonus: fits perfectly in my lo’s kitchen (Ikea duktig) sink!

Perfect size and drainage type for berries specifically

I like that the bottom and sides are not flat allowing the drainage holes to let the fruit dry and no water to stand in the bottom of the basket. The small feet are nice so I can just set this on a little plate in the fridge or counter so water does not get things wet there. Perfect size for picking a quart of berries from my garden, rinse and fridge. Not so big the berries such weight will crush each other either. This will work fine for a large container of berries or for mixing a one pint of say blueberries with a pint of raspberries. Handy bowl for berries. I have others for things like cherry tomatoes and small hot peppers but berries are sensitive to being left in a a state where they don't dry well as they don't have a "peel" that helps them dry as easy as veggie types or other fruits.

Nice Size

This is a nice size to store your pint of strawberries in. Easy to clean and looks good in your fridge or out on the counter. I don't put in the dishwasher, just as easy to wash by hand. Sturdy and cute

Cutest little strainer!

I bought this to use as a succulent planter. I've seen articles about using thrift shop finds like old colanders and pots and pans for planters but I haven't found anything in our local stores. When I saw this I decided it was perfect! It is small enough to hold just a few plants (I used five 2" pots of rosularia platyphylla.) Succulents have very shallow roots so this little strainer was perfect for the amount of soil they need. It will spend the summer outside and I'll bring it in this fall.
