A big improvement over my old blade.
I love being able to leave the mixer on its own while I do other things. My mixer is so old that I wasn’t sure this would fit. I measured my bowl and felt fairly confident that it would fit. It did.

The best replacement blade
I bought my first Original Beater Blade about 12 years ago and it held up very well to hard use. This month, it broke near to top while mixing a large, heavy batch of dough. I'd tried a couple of other, less expensive brands and knew I wanted the Original Beater Blade brand. I highly recommend this brand. The new one works as well as the old one. The rubber blade does a great job of wiping the sides of the bowl - much better than the original metal blade that came with my Kitchenaid. Note that the rubber-edged blade is a little harder to clean than the plain metal beater blade, but its performance is worth the minor extra effort to clean. Just make sure to order the blade that matches your mixer. Like all things Kitchenaid, these are not universally interchangeable across different sized bowls.

Definitely a win! Saves time.
This scraper just broke — after over 5 years of weekly if not daily use! Not bad for a beater and scraper. Even a regular plastic scraper wear out if used as much as this blade has in five years. Gladly ordering another one today.

So much better than the standard blade
I ordered this Beater Blade back in June 2016 and have been using it for the past 4 years. I use my KitchenAid a lot more because I no longer have to stop and scrape the bowl. A few months ago, I was dumping ingredients in the mixer when I heard a "pop" sound. It was then that I realized that I had forgotten to defrost my butter. (I broke my plastic cookie dough blade for my Bosch mixer the same way, so I did know better). Even though the blade has a crack in it up at the top, I have continued to use it, and now I am looking to get a replacement. I use my Bosch mixer for large recipes, and my KitchenAid for smaller items because there are less pieces to wash. Pros: Attaches to the mixer just like the original Effectively scraps the bowl It is plastic, so it will brake instead of the mixer if the ingredients are too much for the mixer to handle Cons: Supper squeaky with the mixer is first starting up. It is plastic and can break The price has doubled since my first purchase 4 years ago The Chinese product that is comparable to this is half the price I have found that if I cover the silicone bade in butter before turning on the mixer, the squeaky noise subsides. Even though I have loved this blade and I need a new one, I'm not sure if it is worth the current cost of $30. The genuine Kitchenaid blade is listed at over $40 it is metal and only has the scraper on one side of it. I did purchase a Chinese product last week for $7.50 and the blade came without the scraper part on it. So, did I get what I paid for with that one, nope because it is unusable and I am trying to get the company to replace it.

scrapes bowl completely
i was very impressed with how this beater blade worked...the ones that come with my kitchen aid machine did not scrape bottom or sides completely when mixing batters...this one is a must have for your kitchen...sturdy and works excellent

BUY THIS!!!
I’ve gone through 3 kitchen aid metal beaters with powder coating which always ends up chipping off and getting all gross. For the price they charge, they should be made more durable! It’s been a real pain over the years! FINALLY I have found this beater and couldn’t be happier!! It works pretty well (doesn’t scrape the sides like it should) and not going to end up chipping anytime soon!! WOOHOO!!!!

Super addition to my Kitchen Aid Mixer
This came very quickly indeed all the way from USA! Super product, and yes, it works very well indeed. However watch out when you put the flour in, it is so efficient it threw it everywhere out of the bowl even on the lowest speed. So flour needs folding in a bit before using. I'm not complaining at all just trying to save someone else have the problem.

awesome blade
The only thing I hated about my Kitchenaid mixer was the fact that the blade that came with it, didn't scrape down the sides of the bowl. It was a royal pain to have to stop the mixer, lift the head, scrape down the bowl, put the head down and turn on again, only to repeat a couple of minutes later. I was never able to achieve a truly mixed dough or batter. Now that I have this blade, baking goes much faster and I get more consistent results with my batter. Like others, I wondered about the plastic, but I don't think I'm going to worry about it because it does such a great job. The blade is also dishwasher safe, which some of the other Kitchenaid brand attachments aren't. Just be sure to purchase the right blade for your particular mixer. August 2014 update - This mixer blade continues to be awesome. It shows absolutely no sign of wear and tear with a lot of use and is perfectly dishwasher safe. I agree with others that this should have been the standard included with the mixer.
