Not all labels are bad

The most annoying part of making labels hasn’t been worrying whether the label adheres to the surface. Most annoying is trying to separate the label from its backing paper, amirite? This issue is what usually gives me pause and makes me consider how badly I want the item to have a label vs how much time I want to spend trying to pick at the corner to separate label and paper. This label maker tape sticks to wherever it’s applied. But, what makes this tape 5 stars is how easy it is to get the backing paper removed from the label. Also notable is that when I bend the label’s corner to separate the two, a crease is not left visible on the label—another bonus! Now, if only there was some way to figure out how not to be left with the mess of those little scraps of backing paper. I swear I’ll find them two days later, but at least I find them while I’m admiring my beautiful labels that didn’t frustrate me or that I don’t resent due to the time spent on what’s really (let’s face it) a procrastination method that at least has a tangible result. All in all, this tape is great!

Original Brother label tapes - not a knock-off

This is not a generic or knock-off product. Arrived in original Brother 2 pack package sealed and original Brother tapes. Some reviews said they arrived like they had been opened or not really Brother tapes. Not so with my order.

They work as they should

I have an ancient P-touch handheld labeler that I’ve owned since dinosaurs roamed the earth. Seriously I can’t remember when I didn’t have it in my top desk drawer ready to make a quick label without any fuss or bother. The batteries last for years and it never makes a mistake, although I admit I do sometimes. Since buying this device I’ve bought several others from different brands, hoping maybe they were better in some way and they weren’t. For various reasons they sit somewhere at the bottom of a drawer unused, even though I have dozens of rolls of labeling tape for them. I know I can save a few pennies by buying some off brand tape for my labeler but why? Despite the waste that almost all labelers are known for one twenty-six foot tape really does go a long way and unless you make labels all day every day paying about six bucks for the genuine Brother brand replacement just isn’t that expensive. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to try to review something like this, most of the bad things you read are about things that have nothing to do with the performance of the replacement cartridge at all. I can’t imagine getting one that is defective in any way but if that ever happened all it takes is a quick click on the return button and presto they send you another one. YES OR NO There really isn’t a yes or no for this product, it’s a necessity if you own a P-touch labeler. And yes I’ve tried the off brands. They’re okay but the savings aren’t worth the gamble, these work as they should and that’s all I need.

Sometimes it's worth it to not go with the cheap option

I learned my lesson the hard way when all of the cheaper labels I applied started falling off of everything they were on (and that was a lot of stuff). I use these to label my musical equipment such as cables, inputs, switches, functions, etc. and rely on some of these on a dark stage. To my dismay they all started coming off in a few months, that means a lot of work down the drain and money wasted! I figured I should just buy the original and so I did, as all of those are still holding. Sometimes the cheap option is just the weaker option.

It is a great label machine

Very simple to label any item in the home. This cheap looks so nice with the white background and the black lettering. Super easy to use as well as insert into the machine

Reliable fit. Expen$ive. Someday I'll get the courage to try the much less expensive knock-offs!
