It’s nice for a small spot, no need to put it away.
I used to have a full size scale, it gotten in the way all the time, had to prop it against the wall all the time. This one is a perfect size not to get in the way. Took a bit of practice to balance towards my heels. But works well, cute size.

For its portability, this is great.
Mine is off by less than 1/2 lb. That being said the fact that it's so portable, I can overlook the fact that you need good balance to get a good reading.

Very small, hard to stand on, reads heavier than my other scale by 1.2 lbs, worked for 3 - 3.5 yrs.
This thing is small. I'm a man with a size 8.5-9 shoe and standing on this takes some practice. When in the "open" position (the glass slides apart) my toes would hang off the front edge by an inch or so. Balancing was rather difficult so I learned to reach out and gently touch a wall or a bathroom counter to get a reading. You need to touch the wall or counter in such a way that your finger pressure is "sideways" instead of pushing "downward" so you don't skew the reading. I learned to reach out and lightly touch a counter top or door jam with the back of my hand in order to stay balanced. Ok, enough on that. It weighed 1.2 - 1.6 lbs heavier (but usually 1.2) than my other Taylor digital scale at home. Size was perfect for traveling. After about 3 1/2 yrs it quit working; numbers would display but they were all over the place and the scale would never "freeze" on any particular weight. Changed the battery but that didn't help. Probably going to buy it again due to the size and cost.

Balance practice.
Just received ours. In testing mode At the moment. Will weigh several days, first thing in morning, and compare to my full sized digital Scale. So far this Taylor is 1.2# higher For me and shows 1.5# higher for my husband. But we are still experimenting on stance and balance. That’s ok, as long as we And it’s consistent day to day. Planning on taking it on trips to not return multiple pounds higher. No protective sleeve or box provided. Hmmm, now have to rig something up or spend more money for something. It does have a glass top, so be careful. Also it didn’t work at first. I discovered that after removing the protective tab, and theN tightly screwing down the battery door. That actually made the battery Not work. Unscrewing about 1/2 - 3/4 of a revolution fixed the problem. Touchy. But it is doing the job I bought it for and it isn’t too bulky or heavy to pack securely in a suitcase. Try to balance the same way each time to repeat weight consistency. Try it near a wall or door so you can hold on, then let go slowly. Does take less time for a final weight to appear, than my full sized scale. A plus.

a slight disappointment
I like taking a weight scale with me when I travel. I couldn't find my other one so I purchased this one. It does not hold the weight after you get off of the scale to my disappointment. It is easy to read but the weight fluctuates as you are bending over to read it and keep your balance. I will more than likely return it. The weight is a pound or so off as well, which is not a big deal but thought you should know.

Inaccurate
I tried to use the scale to keep up with my weight while traveling. I compared it to a larger, more stable Taylor scale. This portable scale is totally inaccurate. It tends to read 1 to 3 pounds higher than the other Taylor scale. The difference is highly variable. I called Taylor to see if there’s anything that could be done about this, and they said basically, no, there is nothing that can be done to calibrate this scale. I don’t recommend this scale. I contacted Taylor to seek a refund, because this is a clearly defective product. They told me that only Amazon, the seller, could issue a refund.

Nuts About Her New Scale
i love this little gem of a scale! It is small enough to fit under one of my bathroom organizers which is absolutely the only place in my bathroom it will fit. If i need to put anything else under there, or if i want to take it with me to the Dr.'s office to synchronize the accuracy, there is the digital reader that slides back into the main body of the scale, making it even more accessible. Some may find that it is hard to balance on such a small platform (there is only room for about 2/3 of each foot). But i just balance on the cabinet then take my hand quickly away. Taylor is well known for its accuracy in weights and measures. It only takes a couple of seconds for the scale to lock onto the correct weight and blink, which is when you know you can step off even before it finishes blinking. It is a lightweight, clean, and to the point presentation that won"t be tricked into differing its measurement by moving it to another location on the floor! even the cost was VERY reasonable! I find I'm obsessing about my weight, weighing several times a day just to get on it. I'd like to assure you that no one is paying me to say any of this; I'm just really nuts about this product! Thank you!

It works, it fits, it is consistent... for now
I had wanted to get a different brand because the reviews on this one were mixed, but this one is sold by Amazon with the discount so... I love the small size - it fits perfectly in the nook between my sink cabinet and toilet in my tiny bathroom. I am US women's 6.5 shoe size, and I can stand on this perfectly fine without trying too hard to balance. So far I have not had that problem other people described of getting different readings each time - I can get on and off it three times in a row at one time and I'm getting the same reading always. Not sure how accurate but at least it's consistent, so good for keeping track of weight changes. Though, I've only had this for 3 weeks so I don't know if it will start to fail in the long term. Of course, take off that plastic slip from the battery before using.
