Maxpedition!
Maxpedition is awesome!! I’ve been using their products for law enforcement for more then 20+ years now! Great products.

Pretty unforgiving when being worn.
I like the storage of it but was thinking it would be a little more forgiving and not so stiff. It's like having a box strapped to your leg. A little suppleness would go a long way in comfort, imho.

Works really well.
I bought one in stealth black, because when you wear one there's no need to draw attention to it. It's really handy. The magazine holders - not sure I like the large velcro over a simple snap, seems you have to "rriiiiiip" the velcro making a lot of noise. The main pouch is room and can carry a compact pistol with ease. The secondary pocket is almost laughably small though, even with my not so big hands I see it more as document pouch or wallet pocket. It travels well, doesn't swing or get in the way, even on my motorcycle.

Pack to the Max!
Cheesy line? Yeah. Anyways, this product is as it says it is, the Maxpedition Thermite Versipack which is useful for just about anything you need it to be (just on a smaller scale). The packpack is made by Maxpedition, so the high quality stitching and 1000 denier nylon build is a given, making this pack a one-time purchase for two lifetimes or more. The fitting straps have worked great for me, and I have a 30" waist (this is to say that it could fit around your wrist; since that very popular review here on Amazon concerning the possible sizes of the waist, Maxpedition has updated the waist strap and made it viable for practically any human waist size). Long dragged out sentence, but I thought it was necessary---sorry if you're blue in the face. Additionally, the pockets are the size are considerably thin, and so only can fit very small objects as far as I've found, like a zippo in a baggy (so you can actually grab it out of the deep pocket). Even so, the main compartment with it's draw-string waterproofing capabilities is a nice plus, and the space inside is honestly (as stupid as it might sound) a lot more than I was expecting---it's not a black hole, but it does pretty well. Lastly, the thin pockets available on both the main compartment lid and at the waist zipper (as seen in the image) are large in size, and run all the way through the portions they're attached to (nice for maps, papers, etc.). Hope this helps!

Lovin it
Nice big bag, carries my knife, flashlight, all of my gear, cellphone, keys, notepad, pens. Cinches down, leg strap keeps the thing from bouncing around when you need to run or jump. Not easy to roll over or onto, since it does stick out, and especially when you've got consumer electronics in it, but it's you're probably not supposed to roll your body weight onto your PDA or iPhone. I'm a 32 waist, so I was a little slim for the waist strap, but add a pair of D-rings, and I was able to cinch it down to my waist size. I'm using it for school in this one setting where I'm supposed to carry all of my gear and I'm not allowed to bring a backpack, since there's no where to set it down. Because of the uniform requirements, we don't have any pockets and we're only allowed to carry whatever we can around our waists on fanny packs. I found the Wal-mart packs lacking, so after some research I found the Thermite pack and wasn't disappointed. The side straps for magazines are good for a folding knife and a flashlight, and are an easy grab and pull with the leg strap on (you can keep your eyes up and looking while you grab for your light and knife). Teflon-coated, main pouch has added rain protection, and it's also great for carrying spare bike tools/inner tubes when I'm the bike or when family is borrowing the car. Price is a little steep but it's worth the quality of construction. This bag will probably outlast the regular bags, so long as it isn't purposely beat up. Will buy again.

Overall great thigh pack!
Great ruggedly constructed pack to keep all kinds of gear in. Does not come unstitched or wear through quickly like some of the cheaper products of this type. Easily fits a iPhone 6+ with an otterbox defender case on it in the main pocket with room to spare. If you are not a firearms person the magazine pouches on the sides are great for other things like a multi tool or a flashlight. Can be worn slung over your shoulder or on the chest, you'd just need to swap out the thigh strap with a longer one if you wanted to anchor that part around the abdomen. My only complaint with the design is that when worn as a thigh pack I might want to feed the waist strap which is sewn onto the pack, through my belt loops for less slippage (my hips alone are not good for keeping bags like this in place during rigorous activity) but the buckle is way too wide to pass through the belt loops on most pants. If I were able to do that I would rate 5 stars rather than 4.

excellent customer service!
i dont want to talk about how good the bag is as many users have talked about it. i just want to give you a heads up if you are a skinny guy. i didnt pay attn to the measurement when i ordered the bag. after i received it, i realized that the strap was too long for me. my waist size is 33" but the min loop size of the bag is 39". when i put it on, it had about 3-4" gap (i put it on around the jean, so you need to add about 2" to your waist size). i asked my mother-in-law to see if she could do sth about it (she is an expert in alteration) but she said that the workmanship was very good and the thread was the heavy-duty type so she was not able to do anything with her sewing machine . i was very upset and almost wanted to return the bag. i called maxpedition and told them about it. they asked me to ship the bag to them and they would shorten the strap for me. i was so happy about it. what a good customer service! i havent used it yet since i was not buying it for daily use. i plan to use it during my vacation in thanksgiving and xmas. a friendly reminder: if your waist size is <36", pls call maxpedition, tell them to shorten the strap for you before you order it so that you might be able to save some shipping fee. ~.~

Great Product!
My new EDC system. Fits great. Durable like all Maxpedition products. I am a daily cycling commuter and wear this containing a flashlight, multi tool and odds and ends. I also wear it hiking as a emergency kit bag. Great piece of kit!

Love this rig, currently use it while in the field for search and rescue. Keeps gear accessible while wearing my vest. Extremely good quality no complaints.
