Works great for light weight shoes

Fit perfectly on a 11" wide closet shelf expanded to 42". At the extended length, it handled light weight shoes (sandals & clogs) without sagging - I think heavier shoes (hiking boots, etc.) would be too much weight in the extended bars, but probably okay at a shorter length. Looks good. Shoes were men's size 8. It was easy to assemble except for one rod end. The nut inside the rod had slipped loose and the machine screw would not reach the nut. Luckily, I had a long 1/8" dowel to push the nut back in place and was able to securely complete the assembly. If not for this defect, I would have given a five star on assembly. A quick and simple 5 minute assembly if there are no nut problems. Would buy again. (But would have returned if I had not personally fixed the slipped nut problem.)

Value, straightforward

Easy, straightforward to assemble. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver. I bought 2, and they can be stacked (each set comes with a set of small, clear connecter tubes to join the sets). One of the metal mesh side panels had a minor dented/warped spot but honestly, the metal mesh is the weakest area of the rack. It’s obvious. The expander rods are very sturdy (these are more important anyways by they actually support your shoes). I liked that all the screws were already threaded into the ends of each rod (8 per set). It’s less waste of extra packaging and you see exactly where they go.

Too much work for small feet and heels

I have two currently stacked by the front door. This saved the entryway to our house, which had become overrun with shoes, heels and boots. My only complaint is that the bars are quite far apart, and I have fairly small feet (Women's 7), allowing some shoes to slip through, so I have to position many shoes just so. This causes a house of cards effect all the way down the rack as other precariously balanced shoes are knocked loose. This isn't really a problem with flats, sneakers, and men's shoes, but I wear heels to work almost every day, and I pretty regularly have to sort through all of the shoes to put several pairs back on the rack. With high heels, they are simply not long enough, so I hook the heel over the back bar and rest the toe against the front. This is a very sturdy way to store my heels, and they almost never fall when they are like this. However, wedge heels, heels with thicker heels, and shoes with a very, very high heel (4"+) do not fit in this fashion and have to be balanced carefully. Overall, it is just more work than I would like it to be, but it serves the purpose with a little housekeeping, and would not be a problem for people with larger feet than mine, or smaller feet who don't wear heels.

Awesome shoe rack, would repurchase!

I ordered this as a desperate attempt to control the shoe pile that always seemed to amass at the front door of my duplex. I could not be happier with this product! Pros: -Extremely easy to assemble. There are easy to follow instructions included. All you need is a small screwdriver. -Very lightweight. -Looks high quality and is a nice bronze color. Does not look cheap at all. -Adjustable so you can fit more or less shoes as you please. -You are able to stack another of the same rack on top if you want more storage. There are removable caps on the little tops of the poles so another rack can click in. Cons: -The adjustable poles do come completely apart if you pull them too far apart. It would be nice if there was a mechanism that allowed you to pull the rack apart to its maximum length without the poles coming completely apart. Hardly a con, though. Update three years later: This show rack is still going strong and came with me through a move to a new house. I actually wound up ordering another for stacking and creating a larger space to store shoes in my coat closet. These work perfectly and after three years I'm still highly satisfied!

Just what I needed for a small space

This was just the right size for my small space. Love that it can be adjusted if needed. Easy to put together and looks really nice. Got 2 so I could stack. Love it. Would buy again.

Sturdy shoe rack

I ordered this shoe rack to go under out entry way table and it works out well. It fits great under the table, it helps that the rack is expandable. It helped make the space more organized and now we aren't tripping over shoes. The rack is skinny, yet sturdy and works well. It helps that I got it for a really good price, much cheaper than others on here. If its still cheaper for the bronze color, I would still suggest it over getting something silver, unless you really care about that. Honestly once shoes are on it, you don't even notice the color

MIssing parts

I don't usually write reviews, but I was a bit annoyed when the product came and two of the 4 rubber feet were missing. Now, I'm going to write the company and ask them for 2 feet because the naked metal will scratch my shelf.. One of the screws was different, but it did fit. I looked to see where this product was made. I will let you guess. Overall, the shelf will do the trick. It was easy to assemble, and I liked the option to expand and add more shelves.

FUNCTIONAL, GOOD-LOOKING SHOE RACK

Each rack, (I purchased 2), is quite sturdy and not too wobbly even when extended out to 40 inches or so. There is a slight height difference between the front and back rails so the shoes tilt slightly, but it is not so much that the shoes slide off. You can hook heals over the back, higher rail, so they of course stay on great, but flatter shoes stay on great as well. Each rack was very easy to put together. I was able to place 6 pairs of ladies size 8.5 shoes on each level of my unit for a total of 12 pairs. My husbands unit held 4 pairs of size 12 men's shoes on each level for a total of 8 pairs. I was able to slide flat shoes like flip-flops and ballerina slippers under the unit, on the floor. I am not stacking my 2 units so did not try that really. They include plastic sleeves to put them together into stacks. Bottom line: I like these a lot and they really neaten up the closet...no more shoes piled up in the floor!

Really like the horizontal rods and ease of sizing into a space

I bought this to replace one i had previously bought that has angled rods. Worked well with shoes with heels but it was useless for my husband's shoes that have virtually no heels or for my flats. This works great for his shoes and fits perfectly into the space in the closet i wanted to fill. No issues with stability and went together quickly and easily.

I purchased this shoe rack to organize shoes in our closet. It is the perfect size, with ability to expand should I want to place it somewhere else and also has the option for stacking, which at the moment I have two stacked. Great find at a great price!
