Strap too short to center light on helmet.
Good light but the strap is short and I can’t attach it in the center of my helmet, only off to the side. The strap is Velcro, but there is only a small area that will stick to itself. This product could be greatly improved with a longer strap. The light is nice and bright. It would be better if rechargeable, but so far the battery has not run out.

the strap on this sucks
The media could not be loaded. tl;dr: straps are finicky for certain helmet designs but the light is decent enough for head visibility. it’s a nice and lightweight light and it’s bright enough as a helmet light to be seen. the front light definitely will not be good enough to use as a headlight. the provided straps are terrible, though. can’t mount this in the middle of the helmet cos the straps are a weird length and won’t stick onto itself beyond a certain position. had to do a lot of adjusting to get it to work and the only position it works is off-center. oh well.

Convenience
This is a neat little headlight/taillight for your helmet. It securely mounts to your helmet with a little velcro strap. With the single button on top, you can toggle through the modes to control what kind of light you want (steady white/red, blinking white/red, etc.). Now be aware that the light is not bright enough to use as your sole light source. It is to be used primarily as a safety light. Because it's helmet-mounted, you can aim the headlight at drivers at intersections to let them know you're there. The rear red light is just a bonus. The light weighs so little that I keep it permanently mounted on my helmet and never have to worry about getting caught in the dark while on a ride (I also keep a handlebar-mounted light and a rear blinkie in my saddle bag). All in all, a great safety addition for your rides for just a few bucks.

A little on the flaky side
I've had this for several months now. It worked pretty well at first, but it hasn't held up particularly well under what I would consider mild use (~30 minutes of riding in the evening, usually not during the rain). In moderate cold weather/humidity (upper 20s to the mid 30s Fahrenheit), a few different things tend to happen. First, the brightness of the light diminishes very noticeably from the start of the ride to the end of the ride. Second, the switch sometimes loses the ability to turn off until it's been back in the house for a while. Third, in the first mode where the white light is supposed to be steady and the red light is supposed to flash, there is a pretty substantial strobing effect with the white light. The only modes that work as advertised are both lights flashing or both lights steady. For less than $20 I'm not going to fuss about it, but when this one gives up the ghost entirely I'll be looking for something better.

Great Idea Wasted
What I liked about this product: the premise - a simple illumination device that fits securely into a helmet. What I do NOT like about this product: it does NOT do what I bought it to do which is illuminate. I could have velcroed a small rock onto my helmet and gotten as much use as this. It fastens well and stays on well - it’s light. All good qualities but it does not stay lit reliably. The on/off mechanism seems faulty so it turns on but is incredibly dim then the only way to distinguish the dim light was to remove the device from the base and remove the batteries. I found this annoying and completely useless in helping me be more visible on my morning commute. I’m disappointed because I’ve always thought Topeak was a good product. Back to the drawing board for this one, folks.

Good addition to bike-mounted flashing lights.
Ordered 3 for 3 people/3 helmets. They attach with included Velcro straps: option for parallel or perpendicular to the fore/aft lights’ sight line. Check you helmet prior to ordering. During daylight, the flashing lights are only obvious from direct line of sight: not a very wide field. These are an addition to, not a substitute for, mounted fore and aft flashing lights.

A "Head" of the Game
I have an ATB and a hybrid, which I ride on paved inner-city streets. But as an auto driver, I also know the importance of visibility, and how a cyclist can appear out of nowhere--especially at night. This is a good light--functionally and design-wise. It attached easily to my Bell helmet, and has been very snug. Good illumination, with helpful features, such as the blinking modes, which aid you in being detected by drivers. Still, I would suggest it as a complement to a bike light, but not a substitute, as it doesn't have the same level of projection. If you ride a bike at night, a decent helmet light is a smart idea. It aids in identifying you as a cyclist, and could possibly serve as a back-up should your primary light(s) fail as you are riding.

Nice compact additional bike light
I have this attached to my bike helmet and is a nice compact additional bike light. Easy to operate with three light options, and reasonably bright, not bright enough to use as a main light though. A bit tricky to mount as the base is flat so it wont hold steady on a curved surface like a bike frame or bike helmet but its ok the Velcro strap is pretty secure as well and comes with a strap cushion cover for use inside your helmet, batteries included so overall not a bad price.

Good for being extra visible
Brought this light as I've seen a few other people using similar and thought that they helped make them stand out more at night. The light itself was easy to mount on my helmet, you do need to be care that you mount it in the right place so that both lights can be seen. The front does give off a reasonable amount of light, not to be used as a main light of course but if you want to check your speed or something then you can see well enough. Certainly a good choice if you want something to help you be more visible in conjunction with your other lights.

I've had a couple of these and they are quite good. the lights are bright enough to "be seen" (although they are certainly not for illuminating the road ahead). its nice to have one button to press to turn on a front and back light together. They take "coin" style batteries which aren't cheap. however the product is compact and does its job well.

Much better than you'd think
I've only just got this so my review is based on first impressions. Others have commented on brightness and reliability etc but I wanted to add that the picture used on Amazon makes the light look rather 'budget'. I wasn't expecting much but on receiving it it seems way higher quality than the picture suggests. It also (to me anyway) looks rather large in the photo so I was bit worried I'd look like I'd have some daft looking big lamp on my head but it's actually quite small and discreet and looks good on my helmet. Only time will tell how this lasts and stands up to the British winter but so far I'm very pleased.

A good little helmet light.
With the dark days of a Glasgow winter approaching, I wanted additional light to keep me visible on my commute. This has worked well. It has four modes, in which you can have flashing or steady lights in any combination (e.g. red flash, white steady; white steady, red steady). Don't expect the white light to help you see the road, but if you mount it in a good spot, it is handy and bright enough for spotlighting your bike lock or shed while stationary. Also, it is very easy to mount on the helmet. But don't forget to look at the instructions--there's a plastic bit keeping the batteries apart that you'll want to remove before mounting the light. Also, so far, it hasn't been destroyed by the rain (about seven rides so far in wet weather).
