Served It's Purpose
This chain is just fine for a young child who is just going to elementary school for the day. Yeah, the quality could be a little higher, but it works for a younger person who may otherwise lose it, destroy it or do whatever to it until they get older.

Keeps people honest in public places
This is a nice little chain lock for certain situations. I agree that it would be worthless if some dirtbag was going to cut the chain. I'm sure your bike would be gone in 30 seconds or less. However, I ride around on bike paths and other public areas where there are plenty of people around. So this is perfect for locking your bike when you go into a store or whatnot in a public area where there are lots of folks around. In a public place where people would see a guy trying to cut the chain to steal your bike, this will certainly keep those marginally dishonest characters from taking off with your bike. The chain is lightweight and compact so you won't have some Fort Knox lock hanging off of your bike while riding. Just as an aside, I had a really nice bike a while ago and used one of those super-duper U shaped locks that guarantees they will replace your bike (anti-theft protection) if it is stolen with the lock on. I hooked mine onto the bumper of my car temporarily (I had taken it off the rear car rack). When I came out a few minutes later, super U lock was broken and my bike was gone. Dang. Hey wait -the cost of the bike is replacable through the anti-theft guarantee. So I called up the company, told them what had happened, and they said the anti-theft warranty didn't apply if the bike was locked onto a movable object. But the lock itself was broken I explained - absolutely nothing to do with being locked to my car bumper. Sorry chump - movable object. Arrgghhhhh.... Some theft protection. So there you go. In any case, unless you're going to be parking in an area where some scuzbag can take 30 seconds without being seen while stealing your bike, this is a nice little chain lock to use to keep people honest.

Bikes Stolen
The item above was the wrong bike chain and there was a good reason for it. I came home from riding one of my bikes and locked up two of my bikes with the combination bike lock. The next morning after I worked a little outside I came close to the porch and I realized both bikes were stolen last night on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at night in the early morning hours possibly between 2 to 3 a.m. The value of the bikes came to close to $500. I should of bought a much stronger bike lock that cannot be cut with bolt cutters. I will not blame the seller for this incident but that is how I do rate the item.

You don't get to assign the numbers, but lock itself turns smoothly and is easy to pull apart and lock again.

Deceptively Small Chain
It doesn't look that small but this tiny bike chain wouldn't last a second against...anything really. I wouldn't waste a pair of kitchen scissors trying but I think a strong pair of meat scissors could this wimpy lock.

Do you want to get your bike stolen?
Do you want to get your bike stolen? Using this lock is how you get your bike stolen. This is not a lock you want to use. I mean ever. I bought this lock to teach other people how to pick (Bypass) the lock/combination. I took it out of the bag, and had it opened in less than 1 minute without ever looking at the combo. If you want to get a basic understanding of the lock bypass procedure, this is a great training aid. I learned to bypass this lock in the 5th grade. Do not assume this is "Good Enough" for your kids bike at school. If your bike is worth more than $5, do not use this lock.

Okay but short
This lock was okay, easy enough to use. However it’s super short so a little bit harder for kids to lock up their bike in the morning for school if there is a bunch of other bikes beside it.

calidad pobre se ve mejor en la foto y esta muy pequeño deberian mostrar fotos con una bicicleta real para poder decidir antes de comprar
