Perfect for mountain bikes

It is a little long for the bike I ordered it for but it was easy to remove a few links and put it together. The master link is easy to assemble unlike the first chain I purchased. This master link is assembled you just need to set the pin when it is in position.

For a single speed bike

I turned a mountain bike into a single speed I bought installed a single speed cog and a single speed crank with a chain ring I needed a single speed chain and this fit with no problems. I gave it four stars for durability because it looks and feels well made I really haven’t ridden it enough to know

Good chain but no master link.

Great value for the money, good chain. But there's no master link, like the pictures show. So you need a chain tool, but it's easy since the pin comes partially preinstalled. if you have the tool, it's very easy.

After a few years of casual exercise riding on my single-speed bike, the chain was "stretched" (the bushings were worn down to the point that they didn't mesh properly with the teeth of the sprocket) and needed to be replaced. This Schwinn Chain has wider links than the ten-speed chain I replaced even though it is described as fitting multi-speed bikes. The addition of a quick link made it much easier to get the new chain on, but you'll still need a chain tool to resize the chain to fit your bike.

Love the chain, but take care with the quick link

This is a solid chain for the money (adequate for recreational or basic commuter use, though I'd spend more for your chain if you're hard-core trail or road riding). But the master link/quick link proved a bit of a hassle. I've installed a good share of bike chains so I felt pretty confident making this one work, but on my first test ride the quick link fell off, never to be found. I think it's a matter of a fussy part rather than a faulty one. Do your homework and take your time...I may have just been overconfident in my skills!

Replacement for a 40-year old bike chain

This product fit perfectly! I have a 40-year old bike. The chain is perfect. One thing to know when buying a chain is to select based on the number of sprockets at the back wheel. My bike is considered to be a 10-speed bike, but the chain is a 5-speed chain. Why? there are only 5 sprockets on the back wheel (and 2-sprockets at the pedals). The back wheel number of sprockets determines the thickness of the chain. If I had bought a '10-speed" chain, it would have been far too narrow to shift properly at the back wheel due to the design of a 10-sprocket rear hub.

Made or ordinary use, less for heavy duty.

What can I say, its a cheap ordinary bike chain. This will definitely not hold up like the higher quality ones. But it's for just ordinary riding, if you are a Pro, this isn't for you. Do not go cheap on a bike chain. This will work for transportation riding and things around that nature, not for heavy riding like mountain biking or extreme speeds. But either then that, it's pretty good for me.

Broke after just 1 ride

Ordered the "1/2 inch x 3/32 inch" variant for my mountain bike (7-speed read cassette, installed with WD-40 Wet Chain Lubricant) Chain was delivered very quickly and in good condition. Seemed a little flimsy compared to previous chains, but I thought nothing of it and put it on. It only lasted about 1.5 hours into the ride before breaking, looks like the outward facing plate on right-hand side bent under stress and popped off the rivet Wish I read the reviews before ordering, looks like I'm not the only one who had this happen to them.

Perfect replacement.

This chain was the perfect replacement for my daughter's huffy princess BMX. It's a little over 10 years old a d she's the third one to ride it. You are going to need a chain breaking tool or know how to do this with a vice and punch, but it came with a master link which made reassembly super easy. For the price you can't go wrong for replacement on a child's bike.

Good value

The chain works fine but their is no master link. You need a chain tool to push the pin through the connecting link. Good value if you have a chain tool. you can find a YouTube video to show you how to size your chain and how to use a chain tool if you are unfamiliar with one.
