Great testers

You need to install a single AAA battery in the contact tester, it is not supplied with the unit. Great for working on residential wiring.

Very handy for finding out if a wire is hot and if the polarity is correct on an outlet and if it has power

WORKS

All outlets in garage stopped. Using this device found hidden GFCI had tripped. Save mucho $.

Non contact volt testing and outlet tester for the worst price.

I needed both an outlet tester and a non-contact voltage tester, and I was trying to spend the least amount of money I possibly could. After shopping around, these were the best deal. I was not disappointed in either tester. They both work just as well as the more expensive brands, but they are at least half the price. This is the best deal out there if you need these tools, and there’s practically no difference in quality or functionality.

Does exactly what i need. Tells me if the outlet is grounded, faulty, etc. And tells me if a line is hot. Perfect for the price.

Gets the job done

The plugs is great but the pen keeps beeping around for no reason then i found out you gotta hold it

Price is comparable for what you get.

I'm in safety by trade and wanted a simple GFCI/Live wire tester for my daily use. This is definitely a cheaper kit but I think for the cost it's great for a weekend warrior or someone who won't be using this every day. Overall I'm happy with the quality and I think the price is reflective of its quality. Nothing exceptionally bad or good about it. Just a barebones kit.

Handy tool for everyday household usage

I moved to new house so there are lot requirments to do handy job like changing receptable, bulbs etc.. it helps to make sure that voltage is not present and helps to prevent any shocks etc . Very useful so far..

Invaluable device for safety

These are invaluable devices for safety. Non-Contact Voltage Detector helps you during installation of receptacle outlets and others such as light fixture to make sure the power is truly shut off in the circuit and if anything is leaking/still live. The wall outlet tester and GFCI tester combo is great at letting you know that your work is done correctly and it helped me find some receptacles in a basement that wasn't done correctly that shows the receptacles were hot/neutral wired in reverse. Trips GFCIs. Great tool to use during home inspections. NCV tester takes one AAA battery. It illuminates and flashes red and sounds an alarm when it detects voltage. I only wish the alarm was a tad louder but not a big deal.

Cheap and overhyped

Yess it works ... but has seriously limited real life usefulness. Mine had 10 mins of use and then forgotten about.

I was worried at some reviews about the tester that came in this pack being too sensitive. It has worked great for me so far. Zero complaints from here.
