Nice meter
I have not yet used all the features but for AC/DC, resistance and DC measurements with the current clamp it works great. Nice size and weight. Reasonably well constructed. The auto off seems a bit too short for my liking, but no big deal to hit a button to turn it back on.

HVAC techs
Overall this is a good meter. I am a new residential HVAC service tech and it can handle most our applications. Can be used to measure amperage draw, voltage, temperature splits, micro amp readings, capacitance, continuity and resistance. The only limitation is its inability to measure very small Amperage draws like for Carrier condensing gas furnace inducer motors which have an FLA rating of 0.293. Per the manual: Minimum Current Measurable: 0.3A AC or DC I chose this multimeter over Klein's other meters because of the DC measuring ability of the clamp. Just be sure to take the measurement without the magnet attached. Another reason is that it came with a thermocouple for measure temperature. I lost my first Klein thermometer so I purchased two Cooper-Atkins digital thermometers. One was defective and the other's I pulled the probe off after two months of daily usage through screw holes. As a result, I have used this meter to measure temperature more often than with either of my first 3 thermometers. I will keep this meter as it is rugged and dependable for most applications but I will need to purchase another for measuring under 0.3 Amps. It is hard to read the LCD when it is bright outside, but the brightness can be increased by holding the side button.

Perfect for HVAC/R
Does milliamps, micro amps, temps and more. Get the right model for your trade.

So far seems to work great!
I use it to test amps voltage and DC voltage.

Better than 2 meters.
This combines my regular meter that can measure micro amps and my amp meter into one. One less meter to carry.

High quality, works well. Auto ranging is very handy. Clamp is handy. Strongly recommend for any professional

Great
That's another win for Klein Tools. This thing is packed with features and for the price... hard to beat. It's not Fluke, but then to get something similar from Fluke, you're looking at spending easily 8-10x -- it would only make sense if I was using it for a living. However, as a hobbyist and a homeowner, CL390 is amazing.

When using the DC amp feature, be sure to zero the meter first.
Unlike 0ther digital meters, the LCD screen colors are reversed. The background is black and the numbers are silver. I'm still trying to get used to that. Some models mention it as an option, but I didn't see any way to change it.

Great tester.
Does the job, cheaper than Fluke

Overall, a good meter. Not convinced about current measurement though.
This meter contains high quality probes and cables (finger shields included) that I would be comfortable using at higher voltages. The non-contact voltage detection worked as expected on household voltages of 230 V AC. The meter was quick to test wires/fuses on the setting with sound enabled, but slower to do so when measuring resistance (set to auto-range kOhm and MOhm). I didn't have so much success with measuring current, however. As this meter has a current range of 40 A and 400 A, so is probably aimed at more industrial settings, such as those using 415 V AC. The current readings were less than I expected. I probably would have been better with a meter that had a smaller current range, say 20 A . The included temperature measurement mode worked just fine, using the included thermocouple that attaches to the banana ports of the meter. It gave consistent readings. Note that this meter also provides the capacity to measure capacitance and test diodes in addition to the normal measurement of resistance. The meter is supplied with a handy carry case, batteries, temperature probe, probes and an instruction manual. This is a useful tool for a hobbyist and also those working professionally. The meter is robust and has a clear display with a hold mode and storage mode. The inbuilt buzzer is also clear. In summary, I would recommend this meter, but if buying for using in a domestic setting, I think one with a lower amp range would be better. I did find it slow to measure resistance, in comparison with other meters.

Quality clamp meter with a great range of features
I was excited to get my hands on this CL390 digital clamp meter from Klein Tools, it has an impressive range of features advertised that I was keen to test out. Initial thoughts were that its larger than I was expecting (see photo next to my other clamp meter TIS560) but it seems well made, with a rugged plastic casing and good quality selector knob and display. The display is easy to read and displays clearly in all lighting conditions I have used it in. The selector switch makes using the various functions easy, and the alternatives shown in orange are selected with the orange SEL button, for example to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius when taking temperature readings. There’s a probe holder on the stationary part of the clamp, this comes in useful when taking readings inside panels. There’s no clips for mounting the probes to the meter when not in use, I just wrap the probes around through the jaw which works for me. I tested various features against various calibrated instruments and known value items I have, all values were as expected or close enough to give me confidence in using this meter at work. I tested AC/DC Voltage & Current, Temperature, Resistance, Capacitance, Continuity and Diodes I keep the meter in the supplied carry case along with the probes wrapped around and the included thermocouple in the little plastic bag it comes in. The carry case has a loop on the top which I tied onto the outside of my tool bag, I think this meter is tough enough to stand life on the outside of my tool bag, but only time will tell.

A good robust meter
I have other, and dearer, meters such as Fluke ones. However thus is a good robust meter which is very accurate. It comes in a cloth bag complete with a useful belt loop, complete with batteries and a separate temperature probe. As it is auto ranging there is no need to worry if you connect it to the wrong voltage however some of the settings on the selector switch and are multi function, for example the Ω setting is actually Continuity, Resistance, Diode and defaults to Continuity as I normally want the resistance range I find this mildly annoying, you just have to cycle through the options using the SEL button. The display does show which setting you are on. The leads are good quality with plugs on the end that go into the meter to stop dirt getting in. At the probe end there are removable sleeves so they can be used on things like domestic sockets.

Very accurate
The clamp meter itself has a great build quality, it is very well made from good quality materials and has a very robust, durable overall build. I work in the IT industry so a clamp meter is a handy piece of kit for me to have around but is not used daily and this is why I opted for one in this price range. This particular meter is nicely designed with all of the functions easily accessible on a central wheel which click positively into position for each selection. The meter is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably and firmly in your hand when in use. The screen has good sized digits and a backlight making it easy to read even in the darkest of network cabinets/cupboards. It also has a flashlight on the back which is a great addition that I have never had on a clamp meter in the past. The meter comes with a set of two test cables which are also well made and have a cover over both ends to protect both the probe and plug ends. The meter also has a flip out stand at the back enabling you to set it down on the surface and work without having to hold it, leaving both hands free. The meter takes batteries which are not included and it also has an auto off function which takes it into standby mode if it is idol for longer than 15 seconds, ideal for saving battery power.
