Not What I Wanted - Modifiable - Still Not Great
Edited Review: I was enthusiastic about these clips until I used them a bit. They don't grip very strongly at either end. The jaws slip off things, especially when wide open. I like to store them by clipping onto the test lead, but they don't hold well there either. And the clips too easily come off the pin probes of the leads. So down to 3 stars from 5. They are not as shown in the product image, as many have reported. I modified mine by cutting off the last 5/8" of insulation at the tip, as shown in my photo. I was looking for a replacement for the old clips at the top of my photo. These are better made, but the insulation extends almost to the tip of the alligator jaws. That might prevent clipping the jaws into a tight spot, or onto the middle of a straight wire. My particular problem is that the only way I can avoid losing the clips is to clip them onto the lead when not in use, as shown in the photo. (Yes, I know - you think it will damage the lead's insulation. Well, I've been doing it for ten years with the old clips, and there are lots of little dents but no real damage. And the temporary nicks left by the new clips are shallower than the old clip's. Anyway, time will tell.) Both problems were easily solved by trimming the last 5/8" of insulation, down to the first ring, with an X-Acto knife. That insulation wasn't needed; the clips are well-protected by plastic around the jaws.

Picture is misleading
These are great alligator clips. The clips have a high quality rubber insulation and not that shiny plastic junk they show in the picture. These are designed to slide onto the front of standard probes not to be attached to the end of a length of wire like a test lead. Are they what I wanted? No. Are they great alligator clips? Yes. The product themselves are great but the picture lead me to believe i was buying something completely different. I obviously need to read ALL the specs on every product i buy only because sometimes the picture of the product is NOT the real product.

Great multimeter test clips
The Extech alligator clips are a great addition to my multimeter. They allow me to free up my hands by attaching to the ends of my meter test leads which can now be clamped onto a terminal or wire without having to hold the test lead. The insulating covers protect me from touching electrically energized parts. I have purchased two sets of these clips. One for my Extech meter and another set for my Fluke meter. I recommend these clips to anyone that uses a meter to measure voltage, resistance and current.

Work great!
First of all the product does not match the picture, the ones pictured were what I was looking for. The ones I received fit my generic meter leads and work great! I really need them for working on alarm circuits and they do the job.

Nice clips.
Bought these for my son to use with the new multimeter we gave him for Christmas. They seem to be a good quality and were very affordable at $4.99. My husband now would like a set for himself.

Good quality construction
Impressed. I figured that I'd get some cheap little Chinese made clips. While they're still Chinese, they're really pretty durable. The jackets are a heavy rubber (better than shown in the photo) and the metal isn't flimsy. The leads from my multimeter fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend.

Ne vous fiez pas à l'illustration, ou cherchez TL807C. Ce produit est bien meilleur qu'il n'y paraît. Ces pinces sont enrobées dans un plastique souple de très haute qualité. Il s'agit certainement de qualité professionnelle car les pinces sont à la fois souple d'utilisation et fermes lorsqu'elles serrent. Je recommande ce produit, achetez les yeux fermés, vous ne serez pas déçus. Elles s'adaptent parfaitement aux sondes standard.
