Perfect for dog pool

I think this is perfect for my needs. I got it to skim the grass and floating debris off the surface of the dogs wadding pool. We have a new puppy that is a huge water dog by breed. I grew up with an in the ground pool and skimming us one if the most regular tasks. I don't have one but my dog needs a big puddle and this is the perfect size skimmer. The handle isn't super long but it is more than efficient for this kind of need. Imagine the size of a hot tub that seats 8. This would reach nicely. It's sturdy enough that I am comfortable to do the skimmer "slap" to remove debris as it gets full. You scoop the debris with the net of the skimmer and turn it over and slap the handle or frame of the skimmer on the side of the pool to jar off the dirt and debris. Sometimes a quick turn over if the skimmer and a quick shake is all you need. I am very happy with this product. Definitely recommend.

Compact skimmer ideal for spa

Delivery without any problems, unit was in good condition. Compact size makes it handy for a spa or small pool. Average overall quality. Not expected to last a lifetime, but then again it will probably outlast my spa. I would buy it again. Hole in handle to attach a hook would have been useful.

Light weight and low quality. Will not stand up to normal use.

Unfortunately this skimmer broke without any noticeably aggressive use of it. While shaking debris out of it - over the side of our hot tub - the basket part slid off the handle and hit the floor. It broke. I tried to glue the broken blue frame part but it did not last. Now I have duct tape on it to try and hold it together. This brake also caused the mesh to rip in that area. This rip is growing in all directions. Have to say I would rate this is a very light weight and low quality skimmer. I do not recommend purchasing.

Good skimmer for hot tub.

Good size for skimming hot tub. Holes in net are small enough to catch 99% of anything I find in the hot tub after the cover has been off. Strong enough.

Broke immediately

I used this in my 10 foot inflatable pool and it broke the first time I used it. The plastic that holds the mesh part is created using a casting of some sort so there are weak points. It snapped on a weak point when I was trying to flick out some of the leaves/debris that I was collecting off the top of the pool.

Short hanle

Did not realize the handle was so short ... kinda useless unless you attach it to a longer handle or pole..
