It’s neat.
Water splatters when it’s turned on. It’s not a lot, but I have wood floors. It was used and I got it for around $10. Smelled of pine cleaner, which I’m fine with. Means someone took the extra time to clean it. I put a placemat under it. Cuts down on vibration and muffles the sound a lil. Easy to assemble. I did let it run for a while, dumped the water and refilled it before I put it out for the dog. It holds a good bit and I’m pleased with it. Shipping and packaging was great for a Warehouse deal item. The dog is skittish but took to it quickly.

Had to modify to work, but it works.
I have been struggling for years to find a fountain my cats wouldn't mess with. Constantly had water all over the floor. I liked this idea since the water filters down inside. So we got it about a year ago. The cats still messed with it. It's too light and the top and bottom piece do not click together. I finally resorted to buying a huge ceramic mixing bowl to put the fountain inside of, so that when they knocked off the top, the water would be contained and not all over the kitchen. Finally, I had an epiphany. The fountain motor's part that goes up into the top piece is extremely short. I was able to find a reusable straw for one of my water bottles that was the correct diameter, cut it about an inch and a half, installed on the motor, put the top back on, and now it is super stable and we've gone about two weeks without a spill.

High Maintenance
Is this better than no cat fountain? The Cats have spoken. It is better than no fountain. Yes it does glug water over a spout. Here is my problem with my cats. There isn't a reservoir to drink from. They need some space to drink from. This splash fountain has no basin. It is higher maintenance than the last one I owned. It has such a small tight configuration that it does not hold plenty of water. It needs to be topped up often. Which is annoying. It is not easy to refill. The reuptake valve is so small be expected to splash water everywhere. It's best to shut it off first. When it runs low, it shoots water in a squirting motion which makes it seems like its leaking, but to no fault of the motor, just that its so easy to run out of water and any motor getting a short in its intake will do this.

I recommend
So far so good, I like because there is no splashes. My cats love it. The price is not bad. What I dont like is there nothing that shows water is low, but the noise of the pump when water is low( which is not good cuz I guess can burn out). The second thing, the top and the container with the water does not fit tight; it is very loose if you not carefull bringing to the floor you definitely will have water spilling. Third and last the top has to fit on the pump, and takes several trials to make it fit (sometimes you have to readjust the pump).

Extremely noisy
The media could not be loaded. I thought this would be great because it’s such a simple design and that is what I needed. But after five days I was really ready to jump out the window and only endured it for five days because my cat has stage three kidney disease and is obsessed with the bathroom faucet but is 20 with carpal hyperextended so she can’t be jumping anymore. I cannot believe how noisy that little thing was. I probably had a bad pump and would have just change that out; however, this product is a bit dangerous. It has no water reserve and continuously recycles the water. In the event the power goes out your pet will be left without water. I hope the manufacturer can improve on this.

design needs improvement
First I will will start by saying both my cats seem to like this and are using it. (no small feat as they are picky and have different preferences in how to get their water) However, there is no neat way to line up the two separate parts to get the water to come up through the hole. I spilled a lot of water trying to adjust it in place. I wish they clicked together so it lined up without effort and couldn't be knocked out of line. Overall I'm still satisfied with my purchase. It just has more of a prototype feel than finished product.

I don't recommend it
First, it is noisy, second, you need to open it to check the water level or wait till no more water is coming out. You could re-fill from the outside just by pouring water on it but you must open it to see the level, a see through window with the level and a quieter pump would solve the problem. I don't recommend it.

Surprisingly quiet
I've owned some pretty expensive pet fountains. Don't get me wrong, there are some I'd rather have than this one, except for the price. So for now, I'll have this one. I was worried about several aspects of quality with this fountain, even seeing how it assembles. But after following the instructions, and plugging it in, I thought it wasn't even working. To my surprise, a couple minutes later water began trickling through the top. I cannot hear the motor! Those more expensive fountains I've had? They almost constantly whir. This is silent save the sound of the trickling water. My cat immediately investigated and happily sipped from the cascade. I would most definitely recommend this for others.

Agua fresca siempre
El nivel de ruido, en mi opinión, es nulo, hay veces que le pregunto a mi marido si está prendida por que no la escucho, las únicas ocasiones en las que se escucha la bomba es cuando el nivel de agua es muy bajo, de ahí en fuera nada; le cabe 1 lt de agua aprox, he leído qué hay gente que no usa el filtro, y si le das agua purificada a tu gato tiene sentido, en mi caso, les doy agua purificada y aún así utilizo el filtro pues a uno de mis gatitos le gusta meter la patita y el filtro ayuda mucho a mantenerla limpia a pesar de eso. En cuanto si a mis gatos les gusta o la utilizan, al principio no sabían muy bien cómo proceder pero unos intentos por arriba, por abajo y ahora la utilizan como si nada, el que el agua siempre esté fluyendo ayuda a que les guste tomar más agua. Siempre la tengo conectada y el consumo de energía es mínimo, no marca diferencia en el recibo de luz

Broke right away
The pump stopped working after about two weeks and the water sound was more pump than waterfall. I have purchased a few waterfall style water bowls for my pets. Although I loved the way it looked, it unfortunately did not hold up. Too bad.

Ruido, no te deja dormir
Me gusto el diseño, sí está algo alto pero no pasa nada, lo único que me desagrada totalmente es el ruido, no me deja dormir que ya estoy pensando apagarlo y mejor ponerle un botesito de agua y ya.
