Cats like it
I needed a longer cord for water in my garage. This one barely reaches !! You can’t tell how much water is in it. I have another one that has a window so you can see if it’s low

So quiet!
My 14-yr-old scaredy cat is afraid of everything, but she adapted to this in a few hours. It's plugged in 5 ft from me and I can't hear a thing. A bit tricky to assemble, and I do wish it was easier to see if the water is getting low. But it was a great solution overall.

Great product
Arrived on time and was as advertised. Easily put together, minimal noise so my cats love it. At first I could not get the water to circulate then noted a switch on the motor itself that covered the the screen I did not see this fact in the instructions. Once I opened it the fountain worked great.

Poor customer Service, but Fountain Works
I like this fountain in that it is stainless steel and doesn't get gummy. It was ok to set up, but not as nice since everything was wash by hand. The power brick I received doesn't work so I ended up using an extra one I had laying around. I reached out to customer service and they couldn't help me, other than returning it through Amazon.

Lindo pero…
… hace demasiado ruido y retiene muy poca agua , tengo dos Gatos , si tienes uno quizá el almacenamiento del agua no sea un problema y si no te molesta el ruido , seguro será una gran inversión.

Will they love it? They're cats, so who knows?
One of our three cats loved to drag her old water dish across the floor. She also liked to dip her paw in the water too. I wanted to get an automatic waterer for them, but who knows, with cats, if they'll love something or hate it? This waterer is great! I've had it for about 4 months, and after the first two months, all three cats finally decided it was a good thing. I left the old water dish beside the new one, until I saw that everyone was on board. Now, all of my cats drink a lot more water than before. The unit itself is easy to assemble and easy to clean and no biofilm like in the old ceramic dish! I top off the water every other day, and fully break down, take apart, and wipe down the unit once a week. It's very easy to use, and I've had no problems with overfill or rusting. Last week I got a six pack of new filters. Like others have said, I don't know how much the filter actually "filters" the water, but it does keep the debris and cat hair out of the water my cats actually drink. I pick off what cat hair accumulates and for myself I've decided every three months is good for actually replacing the filter altogether. I love this unit, and if it breaks down or quits on me, I will immediately buy another. ETA: Six months later. Still going strong, but I broke a plastic part that attaches to the plastic part that goes into the stainless steel pan, and I can't find a replacement part. I'm sort of bummed about that because I love this product. Both of my elderly cats and my super skittish Russian Blue love it. They actually all sit around and wait for me to fill it in the mornings!! I'll probably get another one just to have if this one dies. I can't imagine using a conventional water dish again. I knocked off one star for not being able to buy parts from the company.

Almost perfect.
So we just got our fountain today and so far both of my cats hate it. Which is weird because we've had several other of these types of fountains and they loved them. And this one 100% SILENT. I mean, I'm almost worried that it's not working correctly because of how quiet it is. I'm just going to chalk up Edison and Schrödinger being scared because they're little scaredy cats. And maybe they need a little time to warm up to it. The unit is a decent size. It holds plenty of water, and the height is just right for the cats. They aren't straining their necks to get to the water. Assembly is super easy and most everything is dishwasher safe, so throwing it in to get washed once a week should be a piece of cake. I usually replace the filter once a month. Washing and wringing it out in between cleanings. I'll have to read the instructions to see how long they say you can go before replacing the filters. Speaking of filters! The replacements were easy to find and you get three for under $10. The only concern I have is that the unit leaks a little. I have a mat that can soak up any water but I get nervous about it being plugged into the wall and leaking. Also, I'm not able to tell how fast the leak is, so it concerns me if I go our of town for a few days... will I come home to the cat's water dish being empty? I'll probably give this unit some more time so I can see how long it lasts before needing to be refilled, and so I can keep an eye on this leak. So far, I like this water bowl. I like the design, and the concept. It's so quiet... no loud mechanical hum at all. Easy to clean, and put back together. The cats don't seem to like it yet, and it does leak a little. But I'm going to give it more time.

A great fountain, but cheap stainless steel that rusts
I've waited almost a full month before writing this review as I wanted to give it a good test drive before commenting. It was easy to set up and all the parts are easily removable for cleaning. The circular filter doesn't have a snug fit so I am sure there is unfiltered water passing around it. That being said, it still catches stuff, so it's a minor niggle. The bowl is a lot bigger that it looks and takes almost two litres of water to fill, so I highly recommend filling it using a jug and leaving the fountain in situ. You can definitely hear the water bubbling up, but it's not an invasive and distracting sound, and it definitely attracts my kitties and encourages them to drink, drink, drink. You'll probably only hear it if your house is totally quiet, and after a while you will ignore or forget about it. My two cats absolutely adore this fountain and had there heads in it even before it was filled up, and because it's quite high, I am sure this would be good for small/medium dogs too. The steal bowl is dishwasher safe, but I have only hand washed it so far (because my cats don't like it being taken away for more than ten minutes. With that in mind, I'd like to address the subject of it being "stainless steel"... Considering this fountain is only just shy of 4 weeks into being used, the "stainless" bowl has begun to corrode in at least 3 places underneath, and I have to scrub off the yellowy rust stains from the surface of the plastic fountain. Call me crazy, but I always thought the point of "stainless steel" was that it DOESN'T rust? If I am having to scrub away rust at this early stage, it is clearly an extremely thin coat of chromium on the steel and I am not confident it's going to last for more than a few months at best. I'm no doubt going to have to buy a replacement bowl before too long because stainless steel that is going to be used in a wet environment needs to have a better chromium coating than this bowl does. Despite, the rust though, my cats really love this bowl and use it all the time, and that is all that matters in the long run!

Good fountain but be careful when cleaning, deceptively sharp!
Good water fountain, the cat likes it. The pump can be a bit fiddly to clean but otherwise it’s pretty easy to maintain and I’m happy with it. The reason I decided to write a review is to warn other buyers that the metal dish section at the top is sharp and quite dangerous. No danger at all to the cat (which is the main thing) but while cleaning it out today I really badly cut my finger. I was wiping the stainless steel clean with a sponge and ran the sponge around the underside lip, thinking it was a blunt/rounded cut steel. Turn out the edge of my finger was in contact and the steel is not blunt, it’s very sharp and I’ve really sliced my finger badly. Normally I’d put these things down to me being stupid or clumsy but I think it’s a bit dangerous and someone else could easily injure themselves on this in a similar way. I hadn’t imagined it was knife sharp! I wouldn’t let it put you off buying it as it’s a decent fountain, the cat likes it and it looks smart, just be careful when you’re cleaning the metal dish!

Leaks ...... all 4 did
My sister bought one first, I liked the look of it and bought 2, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. My mum bought one too. All 4 have leaked very badly, one of mine so badly it warped our wooden floorboards. Yes they look nice, the cat liked it but it obviously has a major design flaw. For all 4 to leak in 3 different households is more than a coincidence :(

Leaks!
Would be a great product if it didn't constantly leak from the back. Have to keep it on towels and constantly top it up. It would also have been useful to have a marker showing where to fill the water up to. I'm going to get a Petmate one, sorry!

Dreadful product be warned
Bought this as replacement for my small flower fountain, but it was dreadful a thick slime formed on top of steel top after just a few days, and it leaks from the power cord exit, which is not safe in my opinion. Also the worst thing is the loud hum emitted from the fountain, totally unacceptable. Dreadful product stay clear.
